He didn’t just die. Steve said he suffered from periods of depression, and that was part of the reason why he took so long of breaks between videos. He unfortunately killed himself. Rest In Peace, Steve Cash. You have been forever memorialized.

I was completely shocked when I heard that Steve had passed away. I couldn’t wait until his next video would come out. I’m just grateful that his videos are still on TH-cam but I won’t be able to have the same feelings as I did before he was gone. R.I.P. There have been times in life when I wanted to commit suicide, but I didn't, and it was only because I could never leave my pets, not knowing what kind of homes they would go to. I always thought about them first before me. Had it now been for them, I would have ended my life a long time ago.......
It has been the same for me. My beloved dog passed away a few weeks ago and all I wanted was to go with her and still do. I have one cat left now and she was a rescue and had a bad start in life and I cannot bear to leave her as she wouldn't survive another owner. At the moment we are both grieving our loss so are helping each other but it is very tough and I am only living until it is her time to go. After that it will be my turn. It's only the animals who get me through - never people. Animals understand, people just don't get it. I was so distraught over Steve's passing. I didn't know him but he was a very rare and special person. RIP Steve.

Also, I don't mean to pry, but have you checked to see if you have a brain chemistry imbalance? A friend of mine did, made medical adjustments and is doing well. There are people who will be there for you. Rescuing animals is a noble thing, keep doing it. I focus my energy on animals, because they need a voice. Please take care, you are in my thoughts.
@@laurieschneider5278 Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. Yes, I do suffer from depression and am on medication. I usually "manage" but the loss of my precious dog has sent me over the edge. I cannot find help. I've tried but not even professional psychiatrists understand the depth of despair after losing such a precious soul. It's just not taken seriously. I can see in their faces that all they are thinking is I'm overreacting "it's just a dog" look. Most people, even those who own dogs, don't get it. It is extreme grief. I know that but sometimes knowing something doesn't help. I honestly don't think I will ever "get over" this. Maybe this is to honour her life. Thank you again.
You never really get over the loss of a loved one, the loss changes you. But please do not give up. I was grief-stricken when my beloved Siamese cat died years ago. But I was helped through the worst of my grief by talking to a Counselor. And in time I adopted a severely abused cat who needed a lot of love and understanding - we needed each other really. So please try to get the help you need - the animals in this world needs more animal lovers like you.

He clearly loved life but his condition messed with his thinking and his emotions. Wish he'd have reached out to someone that morning. Many, many wished he had reached out. It often helps. 2020 hard year for internet cats.
When i learned about Steves passing, I wasnt myself for a few days. I cried and stayed in bed. I never knew Steve personally, but it hurt my soul knowing that he was no longer here. I had watched his videos since the start of Talking Kitty....i still cry for him because it was like i lost a family member, i was always excited to watch his new videos. I know the struggles of dealing with Bipolar depression, i have messaged him and told him that i knew what he was going through all too well and that i would listen if he ever needed someone to talk to but i dont think he has read my message, and this was way before he passed. FLY HIGH STEVE! We miss you!

I miss him too, I was one of his many fans and have been following him for years. I know I didnt know him personally but I loved his videos and they did so much for me when I was going through toughs times... I couldnt handle it for a while when I heard he ... was no longer with us.. Ive lost a few friends already this year to this and it just tore me up inside.. I am glad to know his pets and family are doing as best they can and they are all in loving homes. Thank you for this video..it does bring some ease but I will always care for them as if I knew them in person. There were horrid days that .. Im not sure I would of made it through had his videos not brought me a much needed smile

i remember being young and watching his videos. i ended up watching them again as i’m now 22 years old. those animals and him keep me happy, even through dark times. because of him. i’ve helped and kept some babies of my own ❤️ he’s the reason why i love cats so much. they bring so much enjoy and happiness in our lives. he’ll never be forgotten. i hope he’s found peace and happiness where he’s at. mental health is nothing to be ignored. always check on those who seem like they are in a dark space. sending love, thoughts, positive vibes towards everyone and everyone who’s in steve’s life ❤️ i hope we made a good impact on his. rest in peace steve. you’ll always be loved by 1000s of people who adored you and your animals ❤️

My husband passed away in May 2019. After he was gone his cat, Bogart, just got thinner and thinner. There was nothing wrong with him physically. Bogart died in November 2019. I know in my heart that Bogart died of a broken heart because he missed his human. But I’m also sure the two of them are together in heaven. 💔

When I heard about him passing away I was dealing with a lot of stuff mentally the past couple months with the virus has been really hard. It makes me sad to see him gone because he brought so much joy and it makes me want to give him a hug because I know what it's like to struggle with anxiety and depression.
I'll always love his videos and hid animals.
It's sad to see such an great person be gone in this time of turmoil that we're going through with the world.
