you have quite a nice layout there, and seems you have a good bit of the electronics figured, next you will be adhering it to some plywood and start some scenery. the larger radius is desired, when you get some six axal locos or a challenger or big boy they have to have the larger radi

Just found your channel and im glad i found it - i find it hard to find content about model railways and someone making their own without it being pretty dull. Really enjoyed this video though and hope you make more content about this kinda stuff

I am new to the Cato track system. I’m definitely going to be using it for now on and building my layout on the floor with buildings, bridges and tunnels. I did the flexible in scale track system. That was a terrible idea. Thank you for showing your video a new subscriber here.!

I love the work you have done on this layout my friend. If you like UK diesel locomotives. Check out the Dapol Class 50's and the Farish Mk2's. A set of those NSE coaches would match a Dapol Class 50 nicely. Try Rails of Sheffield if you need any pointers. Happy to help fellow railroad modellers along the way. I am subbed and please keep up the great videos. All the best, Peter.

My railroad is on a terrible folding table. I respect the floor idea. So much room.

There are definitely perks to having the tracks on the ground, but I will say that it gets tedious to have to constantly watch where I step.

One warning? Running your trains on carpet for extended lengths of time will lead to problems with the locomotives. Lint. It's a problem with HO scale, worse in N scale.

      @@timduggan1461not exactly
Since kato unitrack has a base under the rails themselfs . It means the trains can’t get rusty from the carpets due to the face they are far enough away from it so they don’t acctually get dirty as much
But still clean the trains I say 5 months apart .
Say you first get a train . Use it for 5 month and clean the pickups and wheels . Then another 5 month and do the same again and so on to just keep it in good shape .

I wonder whether you have considered the magnetic decoupler track?

You're powering all of those tracks with just the one transformer ?
