I think that the real problem is that the part that moves so the power moves between rails is to close to the other metal piece causing a short I’ve had the same problem before try moving it with your finger nail or some.

I don't think it's a short circuit problem. It only stops the train on one end but then the train can still run on the other end.

there is nothing wrong with this turnout. these are power routing turnouts and the reason it's doing that is you only have power on the back side of the turnout so after the switch as you're calling it. put the power BEFORE the switch and you'll see it works just fine. I use Kato unitrack exclusively on my layout and these turnouts rarely fail. put the power before the turnout and you'll be fine - don't take them apart!

pretty sure the frog is defective. it doesnt switch between polarities it seems. i would say open to thing up and see if you can disconnect the polarity switcher. The other possibility i see is that the eletctricity doesnt flow through the (here right side.) of your switch anymore. try connecting the diverging track to power too and see if that works. Seems actually more plausible then a short since you seem to be able to drive if you already have moved over the switch

i just looked at another video to see your layout again and im sure now. the siwtch doesnt connect your circle to the power anymore when its thrown. just connect your inner circle to power seperately. careful of polarity. and it should be good to go. doesnt fix the switch but fixes the general problem
