Really good as of recent, I would say 8/10 succeed.
Is the last step really important?
Ultrasonically cleaning gives the board a deep clean. Cleans dirt, flux, and other debris on the board. It’s pretty important if you want to give quality results.
@@ConsoleKingRepair I was referring to the NIC(?).
@@ChainPenguin oh yea, those can be very beneficial for these PS3s. NECS tend to go bad pretty often. Would I say they NEED to be replaced? Only if you want future proofing, and of course, if they’re already bad.
No need re-ball ??
I reballed these off video, ill have to make a video about reballing!
If ever I watched a video that was less than helpful, this has to be it.
Could you explain further? Always trying to improve.
Didn't the ps3 have Nvidia gpu?
It’s based on the Nvidia 7800GTX GPU. It was codeveloped by Nvidia and Sony
@@ConsoleKingRepair oh
@ConsoleKingRepair also, what is that big chip u didn't cover up? Is it the sp2 chip?
@@rch5395 You talking about Southbridge? or EEGS?
@@ConsoleKingRepair I didn't notice there was another chip. I only saw 3 big ones, the one u replaced, the one near it that u covered up, and one very far away from both.
i have no idea what a frankie is even after watching this video, but being that the ps3 is irrelevant now i don't even see the point.
i am playing ps3 on an emulator tho so whatever
Let me know where you got confused, and I’ll try my best to explain it for you. 👍
@@ConsoleKingRepair
everything...
you're making an electronics video bro, you should be as explicit about the process as possible.
what is the frankie?
the memory chips you replace?
the cpu?
the resistors you replaced?
all you're doing is sawing more doubt on the processes than a solution.
from our point of view you did voodoo magic in 3 steps and turn the ps3 back on again.
if this prosses was still relevant i would have google what a frankie was instead of rewatching your vid, but again, if a i see ps3 is just leave it in the good will bin where i usually find them, don't really care.
but some of us watch electronicporn for the heck of it.
good video tho, the quality is great, if you make them better you'll gain more viewership
Just because it's not relevant to you doesn't mean it is for everyone. There's 8 billion more people on the planet besides you. You could enjoy the entire PlayStation library with just a PS5 and a launch model ps3.
@@Johnny_LuvBuckets
shut up nerd
PS3 on emulator is only possible if you have very high end cpu and gpu though
looks expensive lol
Is this ai voiceover?
Too bad you don't ship to Europe
We can work something out if you’re willing
This did not worth it at all , a ps3 is how much ? 20-30 $ ....
why do you need dead one for 20-30$?
Bro wtf are your prices lmao, you can buy ps2-3-4-5 for that amount of money 😂 instead of this ugly mod
I got a question about 4 years ago I bought a “Brand new 60gb” ps3, and I’m worried about this specific reason. Do you think it would be a good idea to change the rsx from 90 to 40 right away to prevent this! I don’t want my ps3 to go bad, I’m a person that really really really takes good care of my stuff.
I would only advise getting a 40nm swap if the ps3 gets YLOD. 90nm can last a long time, I would avoid swapping for the meanwhile.
@@ConsoleKingRepair ok, so by your respond I guess it possibly a bad idea to swap right away
@@jonathanasmat1752 I would just wait and see if i were you. Its most likely going to last a long time if its new.
@@ConsoleKingRepair ok I see great, thank you for your response.
