POST-WAR AUSTINS ft 1940s - 1960s cars | ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS

Classic Austins of the post-war period, ie the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, form this unique collection of original motoring photographs. These Austin car images are a mix of those from my own photo collection, and many sent in by followers of the Old Classic Car channel.
Austins of the 1940s are represented by classic cars such as the Austin A40 Devon, the stately Austin 16, and the Austin 8 & 10. The next decade is also very well represented, with numerous examples of the A40 Somerset, A30, A35 and early A40 Farina, A105 Westminster, Gipsy, the A55 Cambridge in both Farina and pre-Farina form, and less-common sightings such as the A40 Sports and an Austin Westminster ute.
Head into the 1960s and cars such as the A60 Cambridge, Mk2 A40 Farina, Austin 1100, and various Minis, feature regularly, in the UK and also further afield.
As a long-term owner of various classic Austins over the years, and having learnt to drive (officially) on an Austin Mini Mk1 estate followed by our trusty A40 Mk1, I've always had a soft spot for the products of Longbridge in Birmingham.
