This is great!!! I use a vector program (Affinity Designer) already, and it can export SVG directly, so I can go design something in AD and toss it right into Blender to make into an STL for 3D printing! Thanks so much for the video!
thanx!! the "convert to mesh" at 5:09 is what i was looking for.
the "extrude" in "object data properties" tab (2:15) also helped out allot, aswell that "bevel" function will definitly come in handy!
Short and Sweet! Thank you very much!!!
Wow, Amazing ! I tried and it's easy to do !
Amazing
Absolutely lovely. Great to 3D print a 2D design for some wall art :)
You are the best❤❤
BEST tutorial ever on this topic. KUDOS to you !!!
Thank you...
Thanks so much for this! Particularly as when I used Affinity Photo to save my SVG it wouldn`t load....with Convertio it worked no problem!
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing this technique.
Cool feature !
My God, Man, you're just a God! Thank you you're the best! You save me!
Glad I could help
Holy f..... holy crap!! This is groundbreaking! Well, to me anyway. I often sculpt stuff where I use alphas, and quite often I can't find what I want and end up modelling my own, but this, this is awesome!
Thanks a lot!
Glad I could help!
çok teşşekkürler
this is gold
THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOU SOOO MUCH BRO ...THIS HELPED ME LOT ...
Happy to help.
thank you so much
Thank you so much! i've been looking for exactly this! very well explained for an absolute noob like myself
Glad I could help!
Большое спасибо)
Once i explored this method in ArtCam for woodcarving, excellent method man,🎉🎉 Thank you bro! Keep doing!
You're welcome! I'm glad that the method I provided worked perfectly for you.
So, what software did you decide to use for woodcarving? Artcam or Blender?
@@mwsivieroartCam for CnC
thanks man
Thank you!
straight forward and very instructive!
Thank you... you found it helpful.
Can you please tell me where i can I find tutos for making 3d-2D wood cuts with blender or other tools
Thank you for sharing this! I would love to create some meshes this way and put them into my Unreal Engine environments as deco :)
yeah for some reason i cant select each curve alone, i have to select it in the hierarchy , i was able to do it before. weird. they also refuse to convert to mesh.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💪🏻💪🏻
hell ye brother !!!!!!!!!!
Can you 3D print stuff using this method?
Yes , you can.
@@HouseOfThreeDYou would need a 3D printer to make the image, correct. I'm sorry I'm very very new to this.
After that convert into a mesh, geometry become horrible, how to remesh and apply texture on it?
I was taught a completely different way that was much more complicated than this O.o
I'm working on designing cowboy belt buckles and I'm struggling with giving it round edges along the design. I'm working with 2d images (svg) extruding them, but the edges look way too sharp even if i use bevel still too perfect compare to how the belt buckles look like. I was trying a different approach. using the displacer modifier adding the image like texture, but it requires way too many subdivisions to remove most of the blurry effect to make more visible. Any tips how to archive this without the need to sculpt?. I need to add relief to the images trying to achieve bass relief like effect
Perhaps I can assist you after seeing the reference image of belt buckle.
Having never used blender before, it's very hard to follow with no dialog to explain process and what each section of the app does
Where do i think of two such images, thanks size.
Thank you!
1:25 How to joint the curve?
Ctrl + J to join object
Thanking you bro
Glad I could help!
why do i cant see the svg when i already import it??
@@zenny7056 may be it is not properly converted into svg.
ciao from italy., bel metodo, ma non riesco a trovare gli imput nel menu' a tendina perchè ?
Which inputs are you looking for ?
ciao, non corrisponde l'imput dal minuto 1.30@@HouseOfThreeD
How you found your object on 1:04 ? What is key NUMPAD_PERIOD?
It's a numpad period key. Select all objects and press the numpad period key.
@@HouseOfThreeD What i have to do if i doesn't have Num Pad?
@@РомаКалендар You can set your custom shortcut key.
@@HouseOfThreeD Ok i try it

Hello, when I join the curves they don't convert into a face, what should I do?
After joining the curve, right click on the viewport > convert > curve to mesh.
Do yours mush into one curve or blob? That's what mine did and I'm trying to find out how to fix it
tf happened? what did you do to give that surface fill, mine remains an outline lol
Which part of the video, time line ?
Hi, if I sent you an image, could you make it into 3D for me? I have a church logo I need an image of, and I can't do this at all.
Thank you
Okay send it.
the first method didn't work for me. The file didn't come up as a bunch of curves, and it's not even letting me select anything. It's not even visible.
Hi, can you share screenshot of you file ?
It's just an extrusion. I wouldn't call it 3D in the true sense of the word. I'd recommend adding meaningful details, especially to the leaves. Make them look like leaves
It’s a great starting point!
