The Timber Wolf may have some major competition after today! I feel Husqvarna & Jonsered was making some pretty good 50 - 70 cc chainsaws from that time period, but it's nice to see what they can really do with a little tweaking. Good stuff! Thanks for sharing!
@@terricoon9029 I really like the Dolmar chainsaws. If I needed one, I would surely consider one while they still exist. It's my understanding, Makita stopped production last year, which is sad. I have two Jonsered chainsaws (52 & 65 cc) that are18 &19 years old, & I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Very nice running saw Boedy!! Matt is an excellent saw builder and gives great advice. I’m slowly working on gathering parts for my second 359/7 build. I’m still missing an oem carburetor.
I’ve owned and ran everything from 266-572 and everything in between. I’ve always held onto my 346,359 and 372. My 3 favorite saws I’ve ever ran. 359 really wake up with some work
Matt knows his stuff for sure. I went up and picked up a cylinder he did and put it on my 2159. It's a beast. Need to advance the timing now though after watching this.
I think that's the happiest I've seen you running a saw in a long time. That House character is someone I am always interested in what he's up to- great guy and very good work. That's a screamer. I have a 357 here, and a 359 cylinder... looks like I should get busy.
Very nice boedy! The 52cc version 350 has a very similar designed cylinder and alot of people want the 346 instead. Not me. I've had great porting results with that 52cc 350 cylinder.
There’s just something magical about a 359. They have to have a great case volume to piston and jug capacity ratio. I worked with a guy had a few Stihls and he had 1 Husky in the box. I remember him saying he didn’t like it because “it cuts too fast”. Nearly the whole time I worked with him I just picked over the Husky (it’s got a full wrap on it too damnit!!) well one day I grab “the Husky” I put that thing to the pine and it fed so fast… none of his or mine at the times Stihl.. that thing would out cut speed-wise every saw we had. It was that fast. I wish I could get it lol just an awesome saw. It just sits in his box.
please let this saw get a little more low end throttle control and let it eat some oil on the midrange. use that finger and diddle it a bit, saw sounds beautiful but you let it run away too long too free! load that gullet and keep the horse working man. i built a 359 myself for fun. it dont hum like that hahaha, put the redline amsoil to it! rootbeer scent! ahaha

I would get a 346xp cylinder and piston for the 340. Go watch Dubb, Cajun and Lynch's videos on this chassis builds. Then decide how radical you want 2 go with the build.
With results like this, with the short blow down. I would like 2 see someone from the other side of the blow down controversy, produce results like this or better, if possible. You even went a little further than Matt suggested (by accident) and still turned out awesome! Do you think you affected anything with the 2 extra degrees of blow down, maybe lost a little torque?
