Could you please talk to Mark Wildman?? I love both of your contrasting ideas. I’m a big fan of both of your styles. I know you might not agree on every point but it could be a great conversation! Thanks for the wisdom Sir.

Based on what I see with the older population from a rehab standpoint (I work in the skilled nursing facility setting, OTR/L) is if you want to stay young and functional you better focus on hinge and squat movements. One of the biggest reasons people end up needing long term care is because they can’t perform transfers on there own anymore. So do your hip bridges, swings, goat bags, goblet squats, overhead squats, and front squats.

Yes. I had just recovered from injury due to not making the connection to engage glutes. Now I’m on the injured list while rehabbing this due to basket catching a patient weighing 197 lbs. OOF.

Dan, obviously Boyle and Cook would be great. How about Mike Clark, or Jeff Cavalier? I know Jeff has a more look at me approach but the guy is extremely knowledgeable.

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach: Thankyou, Dan. I never heard of them before. I agree with you, though, that glutes are incredibly important for overall health and strength, especially as a person gets older. Same with legs. Once the legs and glutes go, there goes all your mobility and stability.
