Inside Peles Castle is truly a feast for the eyes. It's stunning. The craftsmanship throughout is quite impressive, A fascination story behind this magnificent palace. Thank you, Ken.
I visited Peles Castle just a few months ago during the Christmas season, arriving by train. it is just a half hour walk from the station up a winding trail into the beautiful forested mountains of Sinaia. Sadly, many formerly beautiful chateaus along the way are falling into ruin, but Peles itself is amazing. Sinaia is one of the most beautiful parts of Romania.
I know the inside is gorgeous, but for me it’s just the stunning outside of the castle that is my favorite. It looks like it could have been built a century earlier. Thanks for posting all of these beautiful homes, and castles, for us!
The Hall of Honor has the most incredible wood carvings. I can't even fathom the craftsmanship and hours that go into a creation of grandeur. This is a place I would love to visit.
I'm speechless. And to think you can tour it today. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, especially the staircases. Ken, count that as one of your best houses you've ever shown us!!!
I've been there as well as it's sister Castle, Pelisor. Both are a common tourist spot because Castle Bran (often attributed to where "Vlad the Impaler" stayed).
Fantastic! I've never seen any interior photos of this castle until now! Outside the castle, it looks like several posts are angled into the ground to support a stone retaining wall. Is this something they are trying to fix? Weill they remove the posts one day or are they there to stay?
It's all a bit over the top, but nothing creepy and very homey for such a grand house. I liked the Moorish room best. It's actually quite reserved in comparison to some of the other rooms. Charming, to say the least.
Beautiful, maybe best ve seeing Castle 🏰 range, so many countries never get that far, cause of wars and drama, some one has to start with a vision and then carry it out........ Like neuswanstin gorgeous beautiful in great setting but never finished.......but it is one of Germany's biggest money makers.
Let’s be honest: a beautiful building for a movieproduction. But at the same time an example of bad taste. A mixture of architectural styles through the centuries and different countries. That’s not architecture! That‘s romantic.
The carved wood interiors of the entrance hall are beyond words. Beyond that, the whole place is magnificent.
It’s fortunate that the castle was so well preserved. Too many beautiful “houses” are in ruins or torn down.
It's a favorite tourism spot within Romania, even under communism.

It still amazes -- and makes me thankful -- that buildings like this survived so many wars and times of destruction. Nice selection, Ken.

Fun fact: The theatre room has paintings made by Gustav Klimt, who was commisioned to paint them by king Carol I !
This is grand. Those drone shots of the castle are simply impressive
OMG that is a magnificent place. The workmanship is fantastic. So very beautiful!😍
Oh the inside❤.
Wouldnt it be fun? Exploring all day, and having a beautiful library like that!
I am lost for words. Simply heavenly. Thank you Ken.

The stairs ascending from the corner of the library….that is magical
The Peles castle is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a tour of this magnificent building is on my bucket list before I die.
If I have the opportunity to travel again, this is where I will make a point of going!
This is the grandest masion i have seen
Wow, there are no words. I’m speechless, and that doing something.
Wow what a wonderful and beautiful place. It's nice that it still survives.

What a stunning building in an absolutely breathtaking backdrop!
Amazing ... !
Thank you for your presentation of this work of art, blissfully free of muzak soundtrack. Thank you.
Ken….i always hit like before watching! I really enjoy your channel and narration.
Absolutely beautiful wood carvings!! So well preserved….looks like it is in a remote location….amazingly varied room styles!! Very well planned !
Thank you for covering Peles Castle!
Absolutely beautiful structure ❤ Love the warm interior tones. Would love ❤️ to visit there one day 😊
This place is my favorite of all those you featured so far.
Beautiful. I liked seeing all of the Grand Armory.
Wow! A royal palace that is actually tasteful and elegant without being gaudy and tacky. (Hello Versailles. I was talking about you.)
When I took a tour of it, it was unique in some elements as it had a central vacuum system, LONG before that was common as well as electric lighting.
OH. MY. GOD! UNBELIEVABLE
love the dramatic fantasy style of the exterior!
Definitely fit for a King! Absolutely amazing!
Just beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL !!!
Opulent is an understatement. It's quite the architectural confection.
Another one of my favourites is La Mothe Chandeniers, a French chateau in a moat.
My biological father grew up in Sibiu, Transylvania.
My cousins went on a tour to Peles, Bran and one other castle.
I hope I can see this one day!
videos are really well put together 👌

Very beautiful...
Awesome
A beautiful palace. I wonder, did the king who built it ever live there? I wonder how many people it took to staff…
Thanks Ken!

I'm not sure if the library is my favorite room, this time 😊. It's good to be king!

Wonder what Ceacescu thought about this ‘house’
Haha I had a chance to visit this building in person on a study abroad it was a very cool building.
Absolutely magnificent! You couldn't build anything like that today for less than a billion dollars!
I will own this Castle one day.
I wonder What the yearly costs are to the government to maintain this Castle.?
I love the curved staircase in the library!
The grand entrance hall
I like this. But, I thought this was about American houses and why this one. Though, I hope you do more of this. Just curious.
Almost like Romanian RE Village Dimitrescu castle

What type of tools and labour built this little place.? Castles seen all over the world. From a civilization not in our books.......😢
YOU DON'T MEAN "THIS HOUSE", YOU MEAN 'THIS CASTLE'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I had the kind of money like jeff bezos, I would build something like this before I spent 500 million on a boat. What a legacy to leave behind.
Opulence on steroids, It rivals Buckingham Palace and the Russian Palaces
0:29 "Porn in 1839..." 😆

Hahahahahahahaha. I thought this was Pele the soccer player bought. LoL
Opulence!
While the workmanship is marvelous, however, when looking at the whole picture the building a tasteless mish mash of Teutonic kitsch.
To quote the late Liberace : " Too much of a good thing is wonderful ! " . 😂
