You don’t need to remove the JCW silver strip just pull the skirt off, the clips are single use only, so you will need to replace them all anyway but Amazon sell them very cheaply or eBay. Great video useful for when I fitted mine.
I think you just need the adapter sill plate piece to finish the bottom. Hey, thanks for the video, was wandering if you did get the jcw skirt adapter? I’m about to install them on my 2011 mini cooper s but on ecs the adapter seems like they dont fit for my car…
Thanks! I am replacing the wheel well/fender black plastic trim parts. They use those same clips with half pointing one way and the other half pointing the other way. Now that I have pulled things apart, I believe it is possible to get to the back of the clips and squeeze them together to push them out. Is that same method possible on the side skirts? I.E., can you get to the back of those clips on the lower part of the skirts? ps. we have a Fiat Abarth too! :)
