Best haircut video I've ever seen! After cutting my husband's hair (and my own) for years without any formal training, I really appreciate your skill. My level of skill is trial and error, basically eyeballing the shape as I "sculpt" with clippers and scissors. The most difficult part for me is blending sides to top. Thank you so much for showing and explaining how it's done! You're like a machine with scissors over comb. Loved watching every minute. ✂️

This is an amazing video tutorial, my husband hasn’t been able to go to his barber because of COVID-19, and he really cares about his hair style, so we watched this very and We thought to give it a try yesterday,the result turned out to be fabulous. As I watched you cut this gentleman's hair, I listened to your clear and precise explanation of how to accomplish this haircut. Ive been a barber for 5 years. Your videos solely taught me how to comfortably cut with scissor and comb, i truly suggest to others to keep watching and continue to practice this method. This is easily the most informative and direct instruction I have found in 2 years' time. I don't know why but I have always struggled with scissor over comb until watching you do it flawlessly. I also love the natural hairline in the back. My son and husband both have "rat tail" hair lines, lol. Impossible to square off for a non-professional and even roubd hair lines in the back seem silly. Also, they both have multiple cowlicks so cutting their hair has never been joyous, especially in the crown area! But you just made it all seem so simple and reasonable. I greatly appreciate this video. I only had office scissors and a short basic black comb, but my husband's haircut turned out really great! My son took a time-lapse video and our friends loved watching me go for it. I even kept this video going while I was cutting and just your voice was reassuring and soothing. This was the first time I ever cut anyone's hair and my hands were shaking for the first ten minutes but I found my groove after that and truly enjoyed the act of cutting hair. Regal Gentleman do you have any suggestions for a fade? My boyfriend wants me to cut his hair because he didn’t get it before the quarantine. I’m good with clippers and I know how to cut his hair at the bottom and blend. It’s top I am stressed about. He likes it longer at the top so I can’t use clippers up there I’d have to use scissors. Any suggestions on how to cut the top with scissors for beginners with a very picky bf?

I believe I dropped the comb and scissors a few times but we made it through. He is happy with the outcome so thank you for this video.

I did this on my son but with just scissors because he's 2 and he looks awesome! Keep in mind he's 2, so I had little to no time to do and I just had to trust that I was doing the right thing and follow this video as best as I could. It''s not perfect but for the most part it looks really good. It's almost impossible to follow the video again while you're cutting even though I watched it 10 times beforehand with a squirmy toddler. Thanks for the video.

Really good tutorial. I love that you didn't use a clipper. That has never turned out well on my husband. I attempted his hair for the first time over the weekend and it turned out great. I love your tip about using the scissors to make a part first. I fumbled here and at one point wasn't thinking and stuck a hair filled comb in my mouth!

Hi Dan I was taught to cut using the pick up scissors technique by a great older barber.Its the only time I've seen it done online. Not many young barbers know how to do it. It's a dying art. Keep up the good work

I’m here because I had to do a corona-cut for my daughter (which turned out really well thanks to TH-cam) and it’s reignited an interest in hairdressing that I’ve had for ages. Plus the barber is a bit of alright (come on ladies you know he is) and I love how enthusiastic he is about his work.

I might have to cut my dad’s hair due to social distancing but I’m not understanding how to choose the angle at which you pull the hair straight in order to cut it and I know the angle affects the length 😩

Because of coronaviruse we can’t go to the barber shop now. My family want’s me to cut their hair. I never done that before. Please wish me luck.

This is easily the most informative and direct instruction I have found in 2 years' time. I don't know why but I have always struggled with scissor over comb until watching you do it flawlessly. I also love the natural hairline in the back. My son and husband both have "rat tail" hair lines, lol. Impossible to square off for a non-professional and even roubd hair lines in the back seem silly. Also, they both have multiple cowlicks so cutting their hair has never been joyous, especially in the crown area! But you just made it all seem so simple and reasonable. Getting ready to cut my husband's hair now. Thanks.

I greatly appreciate this video. I only had office scissors and a short basic black comb, but my husband's haircut turned out really great! My son took a time-lapse video and our friends loved watching me go for it. I even kept this video going while I was cutting and just your voice was reassuring and soothing. This was the first time I ever cut anyone's hair and my hands were shaking for the first ten minutes but I found my groove after that and truly enjoyed the act of cutting hair. Regal Gentleman do you have any suggestions for a fade? My boyfriend wants me to cut his hair because he didn’t get it before the quarantine. I’m good with clippers and I know how to cut his hair at the bottom and blend. It’s top I am stressed about. He likes it longer at the top so I can’t use clippers up there I’d have to use scissors. Any suggestions on how to cut the top with scissors for beginners with a very picky bf?

I did this on my son but with just scissors because he's 2 and he looks awesome! Keep in mind he's 2, so I had little to no time to do and I just had to trust that I was doing the right thing and follow this video as best as I could. It''s not perfect but for the most part it looks really good. It's almost impossible to follow the video again while you're cutting even though I watched it 10 times beforehand with a squirmy toddler. Thanks for the video.

Really good tutorial. I love that you didn't use a clipper. That has never turned out well on my husband. I attempted his hair for the first time over the weekend and it turned out great. I love your tip about using the scissors to make a part first. I fumbled here and at one point wasn't thinking and stuck a hair filled comb in my mouth!

Hi Dan I was taught to cut using the pick up scissors technique by a great older barber.Its the only time I've seen it done online. Not many young barbers know how to do it. It's a dying art. Keep up the good work

I might have to cut my dad’s hair due to social distancing but I’m not understanding how to choose the angle at which you pull the hair straight in order to cut it and I know the angle affects the length 😩
