- This haircut shows you how to connect the top from a very short undercut to a long top, still connecting the back behind the ears. It will be an easier haircut to style then such a large disconnection.

She did an excellent job at giving him the new hairstyle, but I think the reason why so many people feel that she messed up his hair by cutting too much off is because the hair style he had before was much better than the one she gave him (in my opinion).
I agree with your opinion. Said the same thing. Longer layers would matched back well with his strong jawline.

Luckily this guy could probably pull off any hairstyle. Once disconnected - Connected now! A year of growing gone in a minute. This is a totally different cut all together. The purpose of a beautiful disconnected style this dude had before, was completely fulfilled! If she "cleaned" it up a bit, if at all, it would have been sufficient.

I’d just like to say that watching your videos is such a thrill for me. I have a silly little disorder called “essential tremor” which means, as I’m sure you can guess, that my hands are constantly shaking. No one knows the cause but lots of people have it and it can be quite disruptive. It doesn’t completely limit our capabilities - you’d be surprised how many of us ETs are artists! I cut my husbands hair and some how I manage a good hair cut on him thanks to you and some of the other barbers on youtube - it just takes an age! But your movements are so fluid! What you do is certainly an art form and I envy you massively (in a good way!) Congratulations on such a successful career. You haircut also kicks ass!
I agree with everyone. Went way to short causing his hair to stick up on the sides. One of the multiple rules in haircuts, short pushes long.

This would be a very accepted and great haircut amongst Europe’s top barbers. Many of them do work that looks like this, just because didn’t use any plastic guards or metal blades doesn’t mean she can’t cut hair. It actually means she can.
Please don’t speak on things you don’t know, she clearly has dedicated her life to this and doesn’t deserve to be insulted with “women can’t cut”

She reminds me so much of my barber. I tell him, cut a bit, just the tip so it can look fresh, IM LETTING IT GROW. But when he starts cutting he doesn’t know when to stop. I cry in my heart every time.

I have been binge watching your videos these last 2 weeks. Trying to get some idea of what to do when I touch my son’s hair with scissors! (I’ve never cut anyone’s hair before.) Your technique is mesmerizing to watch, and anyone lucky enough to have their hair cut by you must feel so glad for the experience.
As a barber for many years please take my advice if you love your son and take him to a barber.

Free hand clipper work, this is talent at its best. I worked as a mens barber in Surrey for years and still wasn’t confident in doing freehand clippering. Be interested in finding out where this lady trained.

Awesome,, Your technique of the way you went over it 3 times to achieve,, was spot on.. it was a bit shorter than I would have wanted it,, however this cut was a 10.. so was the Hair, and thickness and texture of the model.. Great Video..

While I think the finished cut looks good, it wasn't wasn't what I was expecting. I've seen hair cutting techniques that can keep much of the top length while connecting the bottom, but this is more like fade-ish with some length on top.

What an amazing artist! Now going to grow my hair long to get a similar cut. His hair looks like it was about to go Legolas if it grew any longer, even though it was good looking, but this cut should give him a longer time to rock that hair style without visiting the shop every two weeks. My hair grows really fast, so I always go with a number 0 fade because after two days, it will be gone already.

I see you, Ms. Amanda, cutting past that second knuckle 😉 everytime I cut past that knuckle, my teach will always call me out on it when she checks the haircut afterwards and she doesn't even has to see me do she'll know because she can see the dip and uneven lines from where that knuckle got in the way. Yet I constantly see professionals, my teachers included, constantly do this effortlessly and without error. I guess it just comes with time and practice. I'm being a nitpick though, overall a fantastic tutorial and very helpful!
