My husband really wanted me to cut his hair and I was afraid I'd make it all choppy. He's come home with haircuts like that sometimes, so I figured if a professional had problems I might, too. We watched a number of how-to TH-cam videos but yours is the best-by far! I actually had the computer with the video running as I was cutting his hair and I would stop it from time to time-sometimes back it up and watch parts again-while I was cutting. He was very hesitant at first and it took him about 2 weeks to warm up to the idea, but eventually he conceded and I got to cut his hair. I watched many videos but yours was by far the best. I love your instructions! They were very easy to understand and follow. He is so happy and he even said that when this whole shelter in place business is over, he would like me to be his barber!! I am an junior barber from the netherlands and I try to learn as much as I can Every day . This video is very informative for my as it comes for an siccor cut . Most of the times I have clipper cuts in the shop or longer lenghts. My question is for this middle lenght cut that you do in this video: what is the main difference tho cut as you cut it in the video with siccors or you Will do this cut with an clipper (guard 6 or 7) ? Is There any difference in the Outcame? ( sorry for the bad english typing)

Watched the whole 43 minutes straight so I can cut my boyfriends hair for him... I learned SO much in this video. You explained everything in a way where I can remember these techniques more easily in the future. I've never been able to grasp the idea of a "guide" until I watched this. Last time I tried to cut hair, I lost track of the guide and it was NOT hot. LOL but I feel more confident now. I wish I had some wigs or something to practice on x'D

Here it is in April 2024, and this was so informative! Wouldn’t it be cool to get him back in the chair in your quieter styling room you have now? It was a little distracting to hear and see the regular day in the salon in the background. I would also like to hear him talking like you interview guys today, though I realize for an instructional video the model doesn’t talk. All in all a great tutorial!

What a fantastic Job! I was so involved that I didn’t realize I watched the entire tutorial. What I learned where scissor sizes and comb sizes. That information answered my questions on what sizes I should be using when cutting my sons hair. His crown is on the left and most times I find myself cutting it and the hairs stand. So I end up cutting more until it stands no more. It’s too short at that point. Do I follow the same crown method as you demonstrated where you cut below the crown?

I did want to ask though, I'm using 5.5 scissors that I bought especially, and they are a bit rubbish. After watching your video, I will invest in a 6 - are there any particular brands you recommend?
