In this video we say our farewells to the MAN Enviro300s now getting withdrawn in mass with Stagecoach Yorkshire, discussing their history with Robin, the unique batches we got and the very small number that will remain in a 'reserve' fleet.

I throughly enjoyed watching this, I smiled during everything I thought everything explained about the history the depots the names for these MAN's were incredible and I have to say this is probably one of the best Farewell videos I've seen as MAN's have been dropped down here it's so good to see them being celebrated 1 more time and Just Robin the MAN expert and lover number 1 being here makes for a great video. I thought everything he explained was well thought out and clear and if it wasn't for him and his interest of these buses I wouldn't be sitting here watching the today, I've learnt so much about these and as I always have enjoy his MAN videos ever since I saw one of 22632 in 2021 so it just brings me back to the time where I started seeing my interest in these and learn more about the fleet, of them and got to say he will always be the prime member of the community for upholding such great buses that are known as. ''unreliable''. These buses will hold a big part of the community especially from robins view and the original MAN engines hands down makes them better. I will miss the YN MAN's so will for the OU09/10's they are perfect buses and yutongs may be good but will never compare to these, there's a reason why some of the KX09's got saved.
I have a question.
@@FiremanSamBoy2008what is that
@@Arooba2k15 Sorry if I sound a bit rude here but I wasn’t asking you.
@@FiremanSamBoy2008 I'd just like to hear
@@Arooba2k15 Oh, my question was is if I can show him an Exeter bus video.
I got 22628 (Chesterfield's last MAN) when I went to the Little Castle at Duckmanton on Monday this week, on its regular 1 / 1A route. Glad to get on it!
Of course Robin knows all about the E300s
Got another ride out to the Little Castle on 22628 today for a pub meal & pint. Missed it on the return journey as it was the journey 20min before I'd got it down as, it was running 7min late and I missed it so picked another back of rubbish from the motorway junction area in Duckmanton before catching an ADL E300 back to Chesterfield on the 1.
We have ADL / E300s here in Chesterfield; they can be distinguished from the last MAN by the emergency exit door position. The Mansfield E300s used to run the Pronto route before it was upgraded to double deckers. I think of the ADL E300 as a longer E200Dart. I saw a Worksop based Scania E300 with route 19 branding on a 77 in Chesterfield recently as well.
I'm happy that Stagecoach North East still have 2009 and 2008 Enviro 300's
Not for long tho they'll be heading to scrap where they belong 😂😂😂
22581 has had engine failure it might be fixed might not and all the 2009 ones are getting replaced in September by electrics at slatyford
@@Riley-li2mt I am aware that 22581 is no more but i don't believe Slatyford would get ev's that soon
@@Busboyben I’ve been told by people at the depot
@@Riley-li2mt Ok mate. We will just have to wait and see.
Hulleys of Baslow used to have MAN buses around 2005-2010 but they've got rid of all theirs now...
Brilliant video mate such a shame as some still sound healthy
Thank you!
Saw 22628 at Bolsover yesterday.
Aye the last Chesterfield one
are there plans for the 09 ones dotted around the north east that were new to stockton sticking about for a while? a couple have trickled out of newcastle and gone back home to teesside recently, and just wondering how long they've got left, along side the last alx300 and the original e300s. and even the darts in hartlepool and south shields
The ones at slatyford will be replaced by electrics arriving in September- December 2024
I think East Yorkshire had the only non Stagecoach MAN / ALX300s in about 2002.
Hull is still overrun with them.
We have one left in chesterfield. I dread getting allocated it, because it is allergic to going uphill. It sounds brilliant but I’m not a big fan of it’s huge steering wheel 😂
Seems about right for an MAN E300, lots of noise but not a lot of go go juice ahaha
Maybe that's why it was running late on the 1A today, as well as the roadworks at Calow.
I think 22761 is withdrawn as that moved to my local morecambe depot a while ago and has since been withdrawn in 2023 I think
If you can do it next month though I highly doubt it, I'd highly recommend going to Exeter as it's a great place to film buses at and I'd definitely recommend getting the Green Park & Ride from the high street as it uses MAN Enviro 300's which have very unique seats.
Basically seats like in the Stagecoach Gold Scania E400's (2009-2015 models) but blue basically 😊.
Like the tables at the back not keen on the sound of the engine
Strange question but how would you go about purchasing a withdrawn vehicle
Contact the operator via their contact details (usually by email) and express your interest in buying whatever type of vehicle you want. If any are available they will send you a price, usually with tyres separate as bus companies don't generally own the tyres.
You need to see 17240 17643 17645 17239 stagecoach north east open toppers this summer before they go
I've sampled them all previously, videos are in the channel archives
The guy with you has a lot of technical knowledge… unable to him sometimes
Aye we'll get the audio sorted in future
