He was on totally improper tires, is the main problem. This idiot runs around on Hoosier slicks 24/7 on public roads. All it takes is a tiny bit of moisture on the road and you’re totally fucked. Any decent street tire would’ve handled that situation perfectly well. He’s been in LA long enough to think he can act like he does there everywhere. It happens to people, unfortunately.
I think that truck stopped in the lane scared him and he was going fast and he didn't see it early enough so he tried to brake in a corner (911 no no).

magnus is a great driver, you can see here there was an unexpected truck and 2 cars after a blind corner, albeit if he was going slower he wouldve been in control but his options were hit the other car head on or slide into those people, he did well to avoid anything catastrophic

They can be tail happy at silly speeds for the pendulum effect the rear engine can cause, but believe me they handle superb, and over the 50 years porsche have honed in on the handling. Don't ask Magnus to take you out for a spin though ;-)

It’s not a hard car to drive at all. It’s actually quite forgiving. Usually the people who say it’s a hard car to handle have never driven one hard in a controlled environment or lack Porsche performance driving principal. This isn’t me sniping you in any way either, please don’t take offense to what I’m saying. The way you drive an old 911 is a simple dance. You brake in a straight line, turn in and apply throttle simultaneously. The weight transfer to the rear upon opening the throttle virtually guarantees that you would under steer on corner apex if you were going too fast, which is easier to correct by a slow steady release of the throttle until front end grip returned, and then maintaining that throttle position or reapplying more throttle if the space on the road and the racing line allows. This is the normal racing approach. The only time they step out on you is if you snap release the throttle on high corner load, trail brake on entry during high corner load, or if your rear tires were worn out to the point where they start giving up grip, the later being manageable by the application of more throttle to keep the weight over the rear during the slide. Usually you end up in a graceful drift that you control with counter steering angle when that happens. Most people are just more used to cars with a front engine or front mid engine lay out, which depending on how much weight is over the front axle of the car will determine how much trail braking you can get away with, and how much over steer you will be greeted with before apex, and how controllable the slide is. I’ve run many old 911’s and own currently an old 996.2. They’ve never dropped me off in the kitty litter unless I made a pretty bad mistake.
