I was rooting for The Miz and Whitney only because Whitney has been robbed the last two times she's competed on this program, but I knew the writing was on the wall. There's absolutely no way the judges were going to part ways with a couple that's been at the top of the standings almost from the very beginning.
Have a feeling Jojo is gonna win, but I hope not because they are only keeping her in because she is that good

I think everybody hated to see The Miz leave. He is definitely an entertainer and a good guy. Dad did a great job raising him!! Thank you Miz, you will be missed.

Am I missing something, or does it make zero sense that when there is only one more safe couple to name, Tyra says, "In no particular order"? And this is what I keep saying to everyone that complains about JoJo having Dance experience, at the end of the day dance ability means very little because you can score high with the judges, but if the audience don't vote you will still find yourself at the bottom. Shame the Miz had to go this week though.

I think the problem is that since Jojo and Jenna are becoming the judges’ favorites, people aren’t voting for them as much. The same thing happened to Ally Brooke in Season 28.

I always thought the judges were picking favorites that night because Jojo is the first celeb to be paired with someone of the same sex & I feel like if the judges chose The Miz & not Jojo, people in the LGBT community are going to be ticked off.

@@brinnierose5358 i believe they changed the rules throughout the years. The judges being allowed to judge the last dance rehearsal is actually a good thing so the couple can still continue in the competition even if a celebrity can’t dance on the show night for any valid reason like death in the family, a minor injury, or a brief sickness. I would think that you would want this same courtesy bestowed upon your favorite celebrities. In the earlier seasons, a good number of celebrities had to pullout of the competition which didn’t seem fair since they wouldn’t be eligible to compete on another season in the future.

The scores are only half of the story
This is exactly why they tell people to vote. Everyone just assumes that their fav will be safe as they get high numbers on the show. It is also about skills too so if you can dance really well or are massively improving your going to be saved at the end.

They probably think that since the Judges are the ones that do the saving there isn't a point, yeah voting helps their favorites from getting in the bottom two but if they get in the bottom two your vote doesn't save them it's up to the judges
I was shocked when JoJo was in the bottom 2 but then I remembered more adults watch this show than anything. JoJos fanbase is mostly little kids so I guess in a way it makes sense but she definitely did NOT deserve to be there tonight!

Listen, as “shocking” as this bottom two was this is what happens when you score perfectly so early in the season. You have nowhere to go and you end up losing the audience AND the audience shifts it’s interest to other couples who are showing tremendous growth. Still love jojo tho ❤️

Facts I’m team Iman but I fell in love with Dani last year because of Nelly. I loved Nelly and they never were in bottom 2. Big fan base. But I like Dani now. And Nelly still comments on her post.
November 2, 2021 - I don't know why people are shocked Jojo & Jenna were in the bottom 2. Every week they stay in the top 2 so, a lot of fans feel they don't NEED their votes. Fans are voting for teams they feel need votes to stay.
These were my 2 favorite couples... Jojo and Jenna had a 39/40...How do they end up at the bottom? I don't understand the scoring, at all.

So glad I voted. I had a feeling that JoJo and Jenna would be in the bottom , if you read a lot of social media comments it's not surprising , which is why it's important to vote for your faves. Fans really resonate with the contestant's story. I don't think the Miz should've gone home either. Remember , we're all emotional voters, we might be feeling a couple this week and next week they turn us off. I think they're all killing it with the exception of the one contestant who's fans are probably the next bachelor nation lol. If he makes it to the finale, fans will lose it. All love tho, he's still recovering.

People are butthurt that she danced as a kid (despite the fact that she's not the only one with experience, and there's ALWAYS people with experience- Normani, Zendaya, Heather Morris, Sabrina Bryan, just to name a few from past seasons) AND that she's in a same sex pairing. For real. You can't have a tie among 3 people Tyra. If two vote yea and one votes nay, the yays win, period.
@@Concepcion30 Len's vote counts as two votes. So there are some scenarios where he can overturn the vote. If, for example, C votes for First Couple and D votes for First Couple, that's 2 votes for First Couple. Then if B votes Second Couple and L votes Second Couple, that's 3 votes for Second Couple and they stay. So, with Len's vote counting as higher than the other 3, 3 votes can tie the voting with this format. In the end, if all 4 judges end up voting, it actually tally's at 5 voting points total, 1 for C, 1 for D, 1 for B, and 2 for L.

@@AyPeeElTee I don't think that was ever explained at any time, Tyra should say that Len's vote counts for more, not just that he's the tiebreaker.
@@Concepcion30 she did mention in episode 5 he has the deciding vote, meaning his vote can numerically outweight the other 3 judges. the only way that can work is if his vote counts for 2 instead of 1. That is the only way his vote can be a tie breaker if the first three judges are not unanimous. Basically the first three need to be unanimous for him to not be able to vote. Idk who came up with this rule though and I think it's very unfair and convoluted lol. Some convoluted voting configurations.
-Unanimous vote: C, B, D all vote for couple Blue = 3/ L votes for couple orange = 2. So the first three judges cant be outweighed with their unanimous decision, couple blue stays.
-Tie Vote 1: C & B vote for couple blue = 2/ L & D vote for couple orange = 3. Couple orange stays, L got them up to 3 voting points.
-Tie Vote 2: C & B vote for couple blue = 2/ D votes for couple orange = 1. L then votes for couple blue. Couple blue now has 4 votes, couple orange only has 1. Couple blue stays.
Btw I know you didnt ask for these examples but I'm honestly over entertaining myself with how convoluted and unfair the judge voting system is. It's like straight up blatant privilege lol.

Thank god for the judges save, but..I think this week confirmed a few things…1) Melora and Amanda are getting more votes than suspected…2) Jojo’s huge fan base isn’t the one that usually votes and 3) America is not going to be friendly to a same sex pair…
Also, anyone noticed the groups in the relays were so lopsided…it’s almost as if they had the 3 highest scorers against each other and the 3 middle against each other…and then the 3 lowest against each other…that very likely contributed to the shocking result…had the groups been more balanced or no relay , then these bottom feeders wouldn’t have the opportunity to pick up more points…
As for Jojo…there won’t be a relay next week, so…she should be fine…
The Miz should still be here he did better this week than Jo Jo I think it is just a publicity stunt that Jo Jo is still around, because she has a female partner. I am not bias because of her being lesbian but I think that the network is taking advantage of it.
1) Agree. Mostly older women around their age watch the show. 2.) True. She has a pretty young fanbase. But young people can still vote. I think you have to be 13 at least on the website? And anyone with a phone at any age can text their votes. 3) They need to get over it. It's almost 2022.

That being said, he absolutely should not have been in the bottom 2 this week and neither should she to be honest. This show is so bloody weird. They need to come up with a better format for elimination; a formula that averages the 2 lowest scores and couples with the least votes so that it is more fair. Or even make it so that one couple is the lowest votes, one is the lowest score.
In my own opinion I feel like Miz did a great job in alot of these dances including Grease Night, which bothers me that at least some of these dances weren't scored at least 9's by the judges

I couldn't believe Jojo and Jenna ended up on the bottom two. I hated to see that, and after they came close to getting another perfect score. I fell in love with Jojo's dance moves. Thank God the judges saved them and eliminated the Miz. I hope to see Jojo again on the next show. I love her.

Cody had an emotional tribute dance and Suni likely had the boost in votes after being Bottom Two plus her being sick I think got her some votes as well. I think that’s what happened.

Eliminations like this one are why I can’t consistently watch & support this show! This bottom 2 is laughable and you can’t tell me this wasn’t for shock value or caused by ignorant people not voting for lil miss JoJo because of her sexuality!? I am a huge supporter of JoJo and always will be! She is a young woman being herself no matter how scary it may be to be just that! She is so brave in so many ways! She is literally growing up before our very eyes! I think a lot of her younger fans enjoy the clips on TH-cam but aren’t watching the show and voting. That’s what I’ve been doing with Melora. Now I want to tune in so I can vote for her. Hopefully JoJo’s fans will do the same so she can keep having fun each week learning new dances and competing.
People not voting for JoJo becausee her sexuality is nothing but an assumption on your part. Perhaps people felt she wasn't the best dancer? Is that not a possibility? I personally didn't think if was fair that a person who was famous for primarily being a dancer got to compete against non dancers.

I’m not the biggest Jojo fan but I have to admit she has the biggest fan base out of anyone in the show… something is a little suspicious lol
She doesn’t for this season. There are folks with bigger fan bases. It’s a toss up between Suni and Melanie C. Suni due to Olympics and being broadcasted worldwide. We had people who knew Suni but not JoJo and they did have kids too.

I think I'm done with Dancing with the Stars now tbh since Miz got eliminated, I just can't with these judges like seriously first they say he's stiff and when he adjusts in the relay he gets 0 points like seriously 😐. Like I said I just can't with these Judges like seriously there were weeks where Miz and Witney deserved a 10 but never got even one 🙄 .
All the people who hate JoJo almost got what they wanted, and the worst thing is that I'm sure it has nothing to do with the competition anymore, all they care about is attacking and offending it. You can see Whitney was like welp it's over cause right as everyone was called and Amanda and Jojo were the last up there she was shaking her head. Miz also looked so defeated and knew he was done hence why he kept speaking out of term unfortunately. I mean at least they had a chuckle Whitney and Miz on their last moments together competing. Why does everyone get so mad? Not everyone votes the way you do. If I'd watched the Bobby Bones season I'd have voted for him even though he wasn't good because I know how much this type of thing means to him and how hard he works. This season I would vote differently each episode based on things like whose dance I liked the most and who improved the most; and yes, I'm bummed that the way I would've voted for Bobby is what's keeping Cody in over The Miz but I'd still do it. Cody is not a good dancer and I just don't like his personality but I'm not getting mad, saying it's rigged, or saying only the professionals' votes should count. It's just a show. Chill.

Respectfully I played piano when I was a kid, can’t play now. Amanda professionally danced AS AN ADULT FOR YEARS. If you kick off based on experience than Amanda has to go before JoJo.
How about punishing NO ONE for their dance background…. Amanda did a completely different style from ballroom and Latin also 6/8 remaining cast members have dance background or have trained in dance before. So by that logic 75% of the remaining cast needs to go. I get being upset about JoJo being Bottom Two but you don’t need to throw Amanda under the bus.
