I saw so much hate for Martin on the clips of him dancing, but at the very least, Brit created something meaningful for him to cherish. I’m sure that him doing this in his 70s is something super memorable that he did with no regrets

Whomever is in charge of choosing the "stars" should simply bypass the 70+ crowd. Bless their aged little hearts, but there is no way they can keep up with the younger talents. Usually they are out the first week or two. I guess it's a way to give the others a couple extra weeks to show what they've got.

I feel bad that Britt had to be the first pro with her partner to go, but it was obvious that she was doing all the work. I will give Mr. Kove kudos for trying. But of course someone has to be the first to go. I just feel that Britt is an AMAZING pro. I know she would have had much more to give if she had a different partner. I'm surprised too that Christine and Pasha was were so low, as well as Kenya and Brandon. But we all know the voting is based upon who people like, and not so much on the dancing unfortunately.

I thought that everyone except the bottom two were called in no particular order, so Kenya may have been higher rated but due to randomization was called safe last? its been ten years since Ive last watched and I'm getting used to all the slightly different rules

They really do need to have an age limit on this show. The older celebs get eliminated within the first couple weeks anyway.
Most of the time they’re usually the first to get eliminated.

Well Kristel...let's keep hope alive that this is the case. If you look at the history of black, female celebrities on the show in the 30 seasons of DTWS, there have been a few who have made it to the FINALE, but there has only been one black, female champion. That is my girl Ms. Amber P. Riley, from season 17! I am not making this about race, just stating the REAL FACTS!

well, at least martin kove was adorable when he was trying to dance. there’s that.
Definitely, Martin Kove struggled dancing but I think the judges should have been a little less harsh on him. He's 75 and been through a couple of surgeries. He should be celebrated and admired for accepting the dwst challenge and for all of his effort. Let's not forget that someday we will be in our 70's and our bodies will not respond as they do right night, so this time have mercy.
Then don't be on a dancing show. Its a dancing show, you can't give him a pass when they are literally there to judge your dancing. Martin didn't even dance, he moved his hands & arms around but didn't even dance whatsoever. He 100% deserved to go home, you can't not dance or not hardly move on a DANCING show and not expect to go home first. Everyone else was way better than him, theres been other contestants that were close to his age in previous seasons and they danced better than him, he just isn't a dancer and definitely didn't belong on a dance competition

Unfortunately, Britt suffered the same fate as Keo who got the older contestants. So unfair!! I knew Britt and Martin Kove were going to be the first voted off this season.

I agree and this is what ticked me off about DWTS. Keo for the most part always got the older partner and Derek and Val always got the young athletic partner. Not fair if you ask me.

We used to have that here. Monday's 2-hour show, then Tuesday's one hour show with the results spread out throughout the hour. But the ratings for this show kept falling, so they eliminated that 2nd show. I fear with Tyra Banks, it will just keep dropping. We'll see . . .

My favorite part of the elimination videos is always seeing the outfits of the contestants in "natural" lighting, because during some of the dances there was such an intense colorful lighting going on that I couldn't see the real colours 😂

I like the new elimination system with judges picking. Christine may got lost in shuffle but she way better dancer than Martin and deserves to stay more weeks to keep improving. I hate when more popular celeb stays over a less popular who can't dance because of the voting, this way judges can keep the better dancers for longer.
