In this video Vinn is Talking about his experience growing up in Kibera. As you probably already know, Kibera is one of the biggest slums in Nairobi, Kenya. It wasn’t always easy for Vinn, but he was working really hard and he found his way out!

Why would you even make such a comment? What interview did you listen to? SMH
The young man never said that or gave that impression. His responses were about lifting himself up and reaching back and helping others. Example creating opportunities like establishing a chicken farm and encouraging these still in the slums to never lose hope...

What an interesting interview! Considering his upbringing and lack of formal education, it's so awesome that he can speak more than one language and can provide for more than one. He has certainly beaten the statustics and clearly developed high resiliency and posttraumatic growth. Keep thriving and inspiring Vinn! 💪

Sound was not the best possible quality for this impromptu and insightful interview between lovers. Vinn was candid, honest and proud of his background in the sense that some snobs would reinvent their past lives to distance themselves from reality. I really enjoyed this interview/discussion. I can relate because I was a teacher fresh out of university before I moved into the law field and I taught kids who lived in what we call the ghetto (you guys say slums ). I can so relate to Vinn because I fostered many of those kids and adopted one boy. I keep saying to my son, where you come from should NEVER define who you are, your character is within you, One of those kids is today a doctor. Vinn , Im happy and proud of you.❤ Keep aiming for higher. I know good things are coming your way .

Don’t feel bad Lenny i was born in an Island in the Caribbean called Montserrat and my growing up was exactly the same as yours,but now i live in Texas and I own two homes with God’s blessings,so Lenny growing up that way helps you to appreciate things and you aim for better things in life and i see that is already happening to you so growing up poor is a blessing for a better future amen 🙏🏻

What a beautiful, breathtaking dialog. You know, you should be proud of yourself....living in the slums doesn't make you "slummy " so to speak. I guarantee that although you experience a simple beginning, your stress level is much lower than those who " have so much." Ambition, a tenacious force, self will, and never settling for anything less than your worth is some of the main ingredients towards success. Vinny, you got it all and more. Thanks for sharing, you've blessed my heart. This was such a packed portfolio of precious moments and memories. I guarantee you that your parents' love was constant. Can you imagine what they endured not being able to give you what you needed? Wow! Although in the slum, and it's dangerous, as you indicated, I feel it's still safer than many of the beautiful streets in America ❤
