    I like leaving both the pocket and bottom inside seam open for turning so I can sew up the seam through the pocket and have it crisp and then sew up the pocket.

    This turned out super cute. Love the color choices. I think I would want elastic or more security on the side. I wouldn't want anything small to fall out. Just my personal preference. I bet piping would be nice on this bag too.

    I think you should try to showcase your technique, such as, how you chain stitched the connectors by only folding down one side at a time. I wouldn't have thought of that at first. I'm sure that those type of tricks or tips that you may take for granted would be interesting and helpful to others. You should definitely try to showcase your strong points and the things you have learned by doing things. Thanks, strong beginning. Good luck

    Hi Kassiah! You are a wonderful teacher. A few questions re this bag: Did you use decovil light on your denim and your lining? Also, if I were to use cork on the flap would it be too thick to turn with the flap lining? And lastly: My daughter requested pockets that are big enough for her tall water bottle. Could I bag these taller and/or elasticize them without distorting the design? Thanks!

    Hello, this is 1st time ever to comment on any You Tube channel . I love your tutorial 💕💕💕 and I’m thinking making this bag for my daughter before she heads back to college. I’m thinking to use fritter marine vinyl for exteriors and using foam interfacing. Do u think it is too much marine vinyl and form for this bag? I just never used decovil light for any of my bags before so I don’t know which will be better. If you can, could you please give me an advice or suggestion ? 🙏💖🏖

    • @SiahSwag
      @SiahSwag  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Thank you so much for watching! You can totally use foam interfacing, just make sure it is a thinner one and if you are sewing on a domestic I would have it out of the seam allowances to reduce your bulk on the pieces. 😃

    A great way to get your small scissors out of the way while you sew is to add a purse magnet to the top of your machine and just stick scissors to the magnet.

    SiahSwag: Can you reveal the make & model of the sewing machine you use? I think you mentioned it was similar to the Juki 1181. Do you have any issues with revealing your source for the re-branded machine you have? Appreciated!!!!!!!!
    Thank you for replying to may earlier message!!! However, I deleted that message, moved on, & learned for then, (I have grown so much since that video!!) However, I deleted the older message, and now cannot read your entire reply!
    Do you think the Juki 2010Q can do what you need to make the backpacks? (I have an apartment, and space is an absolute premium, so a machine I can move around -- like the 2010Q has advantages there)
