See this is the explanation we needed. The whole get your esim in seems fine but the APN settings and all that is never discussed. I am about to use this on my next trip as a previous experience with a different company have me lost at an airport since there never was clear instruction on what to change in the settings. I thank you and I hope this time I will have my phone working at my destination
I love it our every TH-camr just goes yeah yeah its all so easy. Yeah its easy when u understand it. 6 minutes and like 20 steps of following what to do is not easy
How i will avoid roaming charges from my original sim card provider if the roaming is on? Should i deactivate my sim card and let only esim activate? I am travelling to USA.
I'm not sure for Android. When I used Airalo on Iphone going to Germany, you have the esim only using data. Your regular sim is still there if you use regular cell services.
Hola, Marcus. Saludos. :-)
Hello, I just bought an airalo package for Germany. My trip is next week, I want to activate it but there's no option on the application like that: "activate now"; is it normal or something has changed?
I just contacted airalo and they said that the "activate now" button won't appear until your new eSim is in the destination country and it connects to a network it recognizes. You won't see the "activate now" button in your home country, and that is normal. Wait until you get to your destination and it's supposed to activate automatically, or maybe then use the activate now button. we'll see...
I took it when I traveled to Germany back in February, and it didn't work when I most needed on the airport to book a train from Frankfurt. I needed to connect to wifi to finish the setup. I was very upset.
Hello, I live in the US and have an unlocked compatible eSim phone that I will be using in Italy in October. I am traveling this week to a location in the US that service does not cover so I do not have service, I would like to use Airalo to use there so I will have service. It looks like I have it installed and setup properly after watching your video but I do not want to use it until I get there tomorrow. How do I toggle it off so that I am using my regular Cell phone service now and then toggle back on tomorrow when I get to my destination? Your video was excellent but this part was not clear to me.
Hello, Just to clear it put we dont need any kind of physical sim on our android phone for this right? I mean the idea of esim is that but I just want to be clear before taking the risk of it 😅
Hello. Its not possible for mee to activate as you did before you installed. I have installed now. But I Will go to turkey in 3 days. Will it activate automatic or i have to do it. Because now its not any button to activate. And wil forexample need internet when I arrive to activate?
Great explanation! I'm currently in the Philippines, but I've already purchased an eSIM for my upcoming visit to Dubai this week. However, in the app, it says "Not Activated." I believe this is because I'm not in the UAE yet, right? I've already installed the eSIM and set up the APN, but I couldn't see the Network in the list of Network Operators. I assume this is also because I'm not in the UAE yet. Can anyone confirm?
@emilhuseynli4252 oh yes, it did! Should be fine. Just make sure you are connected to wifi so you can activate. I activated mine at the airport when I landed
@@nikkiavila4438 Thanks, this is super helpful. As I have installed following the author's tutorial, but the status still says "not activated". Will make sure to connect to wi-fi when I land
When you are home and on Wifi, does installing and activating the eSIM turn off your home SIM? Can you turn your home SIM back on to use at home until you get on the plane?
@@christiancarroll6969 Airalo advised that installing an Airalo eSIM will not impact my carrier SIM (although I have a carrier ESIM and 2 eSIM capabiity) Thay added, For the activation, please be informed that the eSIM will only activate when connected to a supported network at your destination. Therefore, if you are still at home, it is advisable not to attempt to activate the eSIM. Personal note: My plan is to deactivate carrier eSIM once on the plane for out of US travel. The second Airalo comment suggests that WiFi not needed upon EU arrival for activation so I will wait until then.
So if i choose the plan that has 39 countries, let say i fly in to one of those countries that are on that list, do i have to still pick that county that i will be using the data in or will it automatically choose it for me? If it does not then do i need to it for every country that i fly in? Thanks!
Watching it slowly helped me understand would be great if you told us how do you disengage your home country network. When I travel overseas, I have my phone on "airplane" mode and it stays on "airplane" mode until I return to my home country. When using the airalo esim, do I use it the same way.
Leaving for Italy in a few days. I am going to get Airalo esim, however I've watched some videos recently that say you have to have an Unlocked smart phone to use an e-SIM. This sounds contradictory to friends who have used e-SIMs. Do I need an Unlocked phone to install an Airalo e-Sim ?
Hello. I live in US. If I visit Philippines, I wouldnt be able to register sim cards bec I dont have Philippine ID. If I download Airalo before leaving US, will I have data in Philippines without the need to register? Can I continue to buy additional data while I'm in Philippines? Thanks
@@MGamerkid You can check by dialing *#06# on your phone. A bunch of numbers and barcodes will appear. You are looking for the EID number, which is the serial number that matches with the eSIM embedded in your device.
Well done mate..
Even Airalo official site does not have such clear explanation.. they should have paid to you
ty, much better than the official airalo videos for my Samsung phone

Yeah, learning how to connect to the right APN and network is crucial for this to work. I'm glad I decided to look this up before I leave lol.
This the 5th video I've watched and only videos that explains how it should be set up!.. Thank you!

do we need to turn on data roaming when using airalo esim
So the last bit can’t be done until you enter the country, selecting the network?

any modern android device can be used ?
