Awww, I miss the Malls from back when I was a kid! I'm such an old soul, I wish I could move to a town that is all old fashioned full of old fashioned people! Love the Nostalgia from anywhere from 90s and before ! 70's and 80's were the best! Also really like the 50's and 60's even though I wasn't here for that!

Times were certainly simpler and people were more optimistic for the future in general.

I used to love The Ninja Turtles too!! I remember my aunt bought me the movie from like 1990 , I watched it over and over! Eating the ninja turtle fruit snacks and I loved when I got the pizza shaped fruit snack. Watching the cartoon , playing the nintendo game and arcade version. Loved me some teenage mutant ninja turtles!!! The classics!!

This is my childhood mall. Sad to see this die down.

I think it’s still there, but totally remodeled so it doesn’t look the same.

Also, many stores that sold electronics (like Radio Shack and Fry's electronics) had closed down in the recent years. This could have been due to people buying online instead. The 8-Bit Guy has a video explaining "What Happened to America's Electronics Stores?". Maybe you could make a video about the last dedicated electronics store in your area.

In the 90's this mall had a really strange green and brass color scheme that gave it an almost otherworldly steampunk aesthetic to it. While the current white paintjob looks nice, I think the old paint scheme was way more memorable.

Yeah and it can still be seen in the movie “Kindergarten Cop” which was filmed there 👍

this mall was one of the main malls of my childhood (late 90's- early 2000's) but for me it turned into a wonderful winter wonderland... how ever i did prefer the southcoast plaza christmas decorations

This mall, along with South Coast Plaza and Westminster Mall were my three main weekend hangouts in the late 80’s. I miss the simple fun of eating at the food court with my buddies and then going up to the third floor movie theater in that mall. Good times. 😊

Same here, with an occasional detour to the Brea Mall. I probably spent 50% of my waking hours in the 90s at this mall and the Westminster Mall. My family was obsessed with going for about a decade and then I think we all just suddenly stopped going in the 2000's from burnout.

Transformers and GI Joe were my jam. It was a great experience as a kid to go to those mall toy stores but KMart had better prices. Get an action figure and enjoy an Icee while checking out the latest addition to my stable.

@@NostalgiaFix81 There actually were THREE fountains. One in the center of the mall (Formerly Nordstroms) square sunken shaped with fountains on the corners as seen in KCop, One by the "Arcade" (Formally Robinsons)was a semi circular water fall style. The last one was by Macy's (Formally Bullocks) round with Mirrored orbs floating in it and a cluster of fountains in the middle. If I remember correctly, some kid in the late 90's fell in and almost died, made the local News. The parents sued and guess what happened?
