    I’ve got a 2” lift and 33” tires I’m planning on getting a 3.5” lift and 35” tires and I got the 5.7L hemi with the overland trim and I can wait to get this installed

    My 05 limited has a 2" lift and those same Rubicon wheels. It's surprising how tall these things sit with a couple inch lift. I have 33s on mine and I don't think I could go any bigger without rubbing. 👍🇺🇲

    • @CottoDIY
      @CottoDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yea I wouldn’t go any larger than 33” anymore, also if I didn’t this job again, I wouldn’t do any more than a 2” lift. The steering and handling suffers with the higher lift, and it doubles the height so a 2” is really a 4” lift.

    My 2010 silver had the same forward rake like this one here before the lift. While so many others I see on the road the front and rear are balanced out. Very bizzard

    older video i know but i see these lifts all over mines a 3-5 miles a few times a week and trail rig and looking at a lift like this for some 33 ats stock rimes did you have to use spacers or change offset to fit yours ?

    Looks great 😀👍, no problems with the control arms or driveshafts? I'm guessing those were spacers put on top of shocks...

    • @CottoDIY
      @CottoDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! No problems with the driveshaft, the handling does change, little bouncier. The control arms I had were already bad and I should have changed them but couldn’t find the control arms for the lift. You should at least get new control arms when you do the lift, and I would recommend 2” in front and 3” in the rear because the front sits a little higher than the back.

    It only took 3 inches of lift to fit 35inch tires!?

    • @CottoDIY
      @CottoDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The way someone put it is for every inch of lifting puck, it doubles the ride height. So the 3” lift is like 6”s. It can be dangerous if you don’t replace upper and lower control arms and if the strut spindle is weak, that could snap off.

    Does it rub at full turn? Did you do the pinch weld mod?

    • @CottoDIY

      With 35” tires yes. With 33”, not so much. I took a 5lb sledgehammer to the pinch we’d and hammered it flush.
