I have always hated the way Ready-Made cloths fit at the armscye. TODAY I learned that the "standard" way to draft
a ladies pattern is to used the across the shoulder measurement for the back, then subtract 1/2". Then for the across the front
measurement (usually the point half way down the length of the armhole) is to add 1 inch.
That is insane! Thank you for having the courage to cut into that beautiful dress and correct the armscye!

Standard Armhole measurement

Yup it's a standard measurement for armholes. However for plus size u may increase up to 11 inches but adjust it gradually until u get the right measurements of your armholes.
