I have dreaded creating a Bodice Block. Everyone else assumes we have a level of knowledge we don't actually have and it made me feel like I'm stupid. Your explanation is crystal clear and very, very helpful. Thank you so much! I basically have to make tops from scratch and/or alter all existing ones as I've lost a huge amount of weight. Now I have the courage to give it a go. Will try it out on an old sheet first. Big hug and gratitude from Cape Town, South Africa. I've subbed.
I needed a straightforward video specifically to create an armhole for a set-in sleeve on a jacket that doesn't have one - and yours fit the bill. Thank you so much for breaking down a difficult (to me, as a beginner) concept in such an easy-to-understand way.
Thank you so much for such a clear and straightforward explanation of this. So many videos fall short just leaving one confused and not understanding each step needed to get the end result. For a lot that quit, I can tell you, you surely have rejuvenated that desire in them to try again. Thank you so much for explaining each and every step and in plain terms.
Finally someone that goes slow, clear and makes understand all the numbers easier. I get so lost when trying to make my own patterns and loads of videos start numbers, all over the pl. I get completely lost. Yours was much simpler to understand the lines of the pattern and how to work the measurements and join the points together to make the curve. The step was easy to understand - thank you from someone who has scrolled trying to find an easy understanding video. Was, about to givecup
I always admire your teaching,as a matter of fact, the first shawl collar jacket that I ever made was inspired by your teachings. The outcome was super amazing. Ur simply the best.
oh, Sis, you are an excellent teacher. I am a novice but I am all in lately. I have been looking for an excellent vid for bodice pattern construction and you have answered all my questions. excellent teacher.
i never comment to any vlogger but only you cought my attention,i love your explanation,u explained it well and clearly thank u so much now i understand wat armhole is.
Thank you so much dear sister I have been struggling with arm whole now this one is crystal clear you will not believe I have been making about six dresses with terrible sleeves. Now I would like to drafter cut and insert sleeves for me. Also I have watched you previous videos on sleeve they were not clear for me. God bless you
I'm a new subscriber to your channel i think your video is fantastic! I finally understood how to draw the FRONT AND BACK armhole. THANK YOU, you are the best and make everything so easy to understand! Peace!
Found this video while searching for help with creating armhole. This is the best and most straight forward armhole tutorial i have come across and i just subscribed. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much But what do you mean by following the standard method and measuring 3/4” in the angle part-where the chest line meets the shoulder line?
So far, your video is the only one to explain there is a different mid point for drafting armholes depending on what size you are. Most people do their own size, a small or medium. I'm much bigger than that. Thank you for explaining how to do different sizes.
Hi Donlarrine ,can you do how to cut circular skirt I'm looking for it on your videos I can't found it you really explain the way I understand , everytime I cut it at the middle when I open it ,it form a V shape I wonder what the trick is to make it straight since it's the middle
Hello I watched your video and like the way you explains drafting. I have a big problem with sizing and making my clothes in the right size even though I take my measurements and match them with the finished pattern measurements. I was wanting to know if you could do a video on how to take a pattern and measure it out with your exact body measurements and chose your size according to where your body measurements, are on that pattern.
Well-done once again. My question is on the third pattern. We do know that various styles requires different bust circumference especially for ladies. If for instance am making (a) a bodycon dress for bust 36 the same client will use (b)bust 38 or 40 for a kaftan right? Now is it the bust circumference(BC) am using for that particular project that I would use to determine the armhole length or normal ie bust 36÷4-1.5 for project (a) & 38÷4-1.5 for project (b)?Hope am making sense? Thanks for your anticipated timely response ❤️
