      So when making these calculations, do we use the bust size of the wearer or the bust size of the garment (bust size of wearer + ease)?

      So glad the video helped :) Thanks for watching and leaving me a feedback.

    • @LearntoSewAcademy
      @LearntoSewAcademy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You use the bust measurement you took of the individual you're making the outfit for, except you're using a particular garment for your measurements (like where you want the exact size of a favorite garment, for example)

    • @dorcasolumadero8177
      @dorcasolumadero8177 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      mary dartison divide your bust by 6 and add 1.5. That’s the method that has hitherto worked for me as far as free hand is concerned. For instance if you’re busy 40 divide that by 6, you’ll have 6.66666. Add 1.5 to that and you’ll get 8.16666. Your arm hole is 8. Square it by 8 for your chest measurement and you’re good to go.

    • @ezekiellebogang8920
      @ezekiellebogang8920 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be easier if you measure the armhole itself and divide by 2,that will be the length of the armhole going down
