Idk why, but I fucking love this guy😂 I watched the comforter video like 10 times, then bought the Egyptian bedding😂 his voice and enthusiasm, tone, etc is pretty intriguing
I love Duvet covers, they are a affordable way to change your style and take up way less room when storing them than comforters. Much easier it wash too. I really like the HC because of the color choices and price. Thanks for all the reviews. you guys really are EVERYTHING ABOUT SLEEP...lol
I like the West Elm because of the Hot/Cold properties. I like the HC Collection because it truly is a great value. Thank you for this great information!
I think a duvet cover is a good idea to keep your comforter or weighted blanket clean since they aren’t the easiest blankets to machine wash, its like a mattress protector for your blankets. I really like the Brooklinen for being lightweight and good for hot sleepers such as myself.
Challenge Question: I want a duvet cover without buttons. Most duvets come with buttons. My two dogs sleep with us in bed and buttons are a chocking hazard. We (hubby and I), each have our own twin xl size duvet, measuring 68” wide x 92” long. I have scoured the internet looking for a duvet this size without buttons and have become frustrated with the lack of options out on the market. Does what I am looking for exist??? Thanks in advance for your help. I told my husband that I should start my own duvet company, for pet lovers who want to both, sleep with their fur babies and at the same time, keep them safe.
I would try the west elm! It seems like a great option for any time of year! Great info. Always wondered about duvet covers and the difference between a comforter.
I have colored comforters, but they are so hard to wash in my washing machine. Sounds like a duvet cover could help with that situation. I'll look into some of these.
We have a king size bed. We want to go the Norwegian style duvet sleeping - one duvet folded in half for each person (2). Should we buy two king duvets or two queen size duvet?
Thanks for the reviews. I think most people have traditionally picked a duvet cover based on style over substance (looks over function), but clearly there are performance differences.
There is a big problem with percale sheets from Brooklinen. I had a grey sheet set with grey/white stripe diver cover and there greasy spots on both after sleeping even just after one night. Night sweat, body oils or lotion will stain the fabric. And it won't wash off. I exchanged the percale sheets into sateen white and it is better.
What if I want a insert that is really fluffy and stays that way I like that fluffy cloud look.. can you recommend and really light fluffy insert. Im hot sleeper
I need help I have been on the hunt for a thick fluffy comforter for years and I haven't found one ..I have looked online in stores and every time I think I found one and I get it it's never thick enough ..I want that thick fluffy style that's like your laying in a fluffy cloud ....helppppp
Try double stuffing a duvet cover with 2 duvets, its probably cheeper and easier to find than searching for a fluffy one. I can never find one fluffy enough.
My cousin bought a super fluffy one for like over $100... It was from Nordstorms/Macy's, one of those department stores. I dont think it's worth it personally but I do like them
Thank you for your review! I do need a recommendation. I freeze at night and my bf is the opposite. We both like soft feel and probably satin but not to shiny! What do you recommend?
I bought my Brooklinen Percale duvet cover based on your previous review, and I love it! Still need to pick a better than Ikea comforter for it, something fluffy but cool/not clammy (I'm a hot sleeper).
Need a personal recommendation...We are both hot sleepers but also like soft sheets. I currently have the brooklinen lightweight duvet and the brooklinen Lux duvet cover but I feel like the Lux cover is a bit too warm for me. Was considering the classic but will it be scratchy? I always hear crisp but I’m not sure what that means. What cover would you recommend?
Hi Marten, was wondering if you had any tips on duvet and cover sizing. How exactly should the sizes of a duvet and the cover match? Is some size discrepancy ok? If so, would you recommend going for a slightly oversized duvet? Would a smaller duvet in any dimension cause problems? Thanks!!
Thanks for the reviews! Currently looking for a duvet cover for the benefits you mention of being able to wash easily and switch out if needed to update the look of the room. I have had a duvet cover before and was disappointed in that the comforter inside seemed to slide around and get bunched up very easily and wasn't very manageable. I was wondering if these duvet covers all secure the inside comforter well or if you had problems with that. Thanks in advance for the response!
Hello! The majority of these duvet covers do have ties in the corners to keep the comforter/duvet insert secure within. We didn't have any real issues with bunching.
I would love to see a review with custom duvet covers. I go for oversized duvets/comforters for my king bed. For instance 120x120 is the size of my current duvet.
I need help pleeease. I like to feel my comforter on me...not fluffy sleep on a cloud. But it seem like everything out there is light weight on body sleep on a cloud lofty. Is there any out there that will give you medium warm is soft but you can actually feel it on your body.
I didn’t know about all the types. I love the feel of sateen, but sleep hot and need something breathable. I don’t like scratchy things and I’m wondering if percale is scratchy. I’m thinking about getting a bed jet and wonder if using a duvet with it would be recommended or not?
bingoknows So the duvet cover is just the outside cover for a duvet/down comforter which is the actual blanket. So you definitely need a duvet insert. There’s tons of different kinds of duvet inserts/ down comforters I would recommend doing some research to see which one you like. I personally love the Buffy cloud comforter it is a down alternative so great for sleepers with allergies and it’s really soft and fluffy. Hope this helps!
Yes, you'll definitely need an insert/comforter. The Buffy is a good option. We also like the Superior down alternative or, if you want down, the Brooklinen down comforter is a good choice.
@@Mattressclarity thanks for the response, yeah definitely going to consider your suggestions, I just purchased the winkbed plus, with your feedback I can top it off nicely 👍
Yes, if you get microfiber, it is going to cut down on the cooling benefits of the bamboo duvet insert. I would recommend something with cotton and a percale weave.
Confused. Is duvet and duvet cover being used interchangeably or they are two different things? Because I hear “duvet and duvet inset”, so does the duvet cover, cover the duvet which also has an inset or duvet is just a cover? 🤯
So, it's just going to be two pieces, duvet cover and duvet insert. The cover is like a pillow case which goes over the duvet insert which is fluffy and pretty much like a comforter.
Thank you for the opportunity to win a new mattress, I'm in real need of one, my old memory foam mattress is leaving me uncomfortable and not well rested... Have a good day!

Thanks for the clarifying the differences between a comforter and a duvet.
Thank you for your leadership. Lots of value here. You took the mystery out of duvets.
Glad it was helpful!

Hey, thanks a lot! Definitely a good note to start my Monday off on.

I really like the look of the West Elm. Thanks for the education on Duvet Covers.
Depending on the year, West Elm has great linen bedding. I’ve purchased awesome and ho-hum sheets from them.
Brooklinen percale cover, I love that crisp feel, just purchased a duvet and I want to return it for the brooklinen

My weighted blanket doesn't have ties on it. Can I still use a duvet cover?
These videos are so helpful!!
Glad you like them!
I like the 10 Grove out of all of these. I think it looks better than one solid color. Very classy.

What is your opinion about the Cozy Earth’s duvet cover? I heard really good reviews on it but I wanted to ask for your opinion
10 grove is my pick. My passion is cotton percale just like my grandma loved!
We have a king size bed. We want to go the Norwegian style duvet sleeping - one duvet folded in half for each person (2). Should we buy two king duvets or two queen size duvet?

Soft, tufted preferably, with good quality cotton and a 600+ thread sheet.
Have you tried Benji Sleep duvet cover?
I was thinking about getting it but I want to know if you’ve tried it?
What if I want a insert that is really fluffy and stays that way I like that fluffy cloud look.. can you recommend and really light fluffy insert. Im hot sleeper
first question, what is a duvet cover? what does it do?
I like the West Elm comforter. Now do I have to get the same size duvet if I want to use one?

Hey girl! He recommended this one in a few videos! I’m buying it now. Egyptian Bedding Siberian Goose Down Comforter
Go for all season snowie down comforter
Thank you for your review! I do need a recommendation. I freeze at night and my bf is the opposite. We both like soft feel and probably satin but not to shiny! What do you recommend?
I would take a look at the Parachute sateen duvet cover. It's sateen, but it doesn't have too much of a sheen. very soft too.
I bought my Brooklinen Percale duvet cover based on your previous review, and I love it! Still need to pick a better than Ikea comforter for it, something fluffy but cool/not clammy (I'm a hot sleeper).
Oh glad you like the Brooklinen!
My duvet is very slippery and ends up sliding off the bed. What would you recommend for a cover that would not slide off the bed?
Need a personal recommendation...We are both hot sleepers but also like soft sheets. I currently have the brooklinen lightweight duvet and the brooklinen Lux duvet cover but I feel like the Lux cover is a bit too warm for me. Was considering the classic but will it be scratchy? How would you guys compare these to Purple's Duvet?
Great info, thank you! How do you get the comforter's quilted pattern from showing through your duvet cover?
That can be unavoidable if it is a thinner duvet cover!
thank you so much you are amazing well explained :)

Mattress Clarity Thanks!
Hi thanks for the duvet cover clarity. I want to buy the west elm belgian linen. On the website it says eurpoean flax linen. Is it the same thing?
I would love to see a review with custom duvet covers. I go for oversized duvets/comforters for my king bed. For instance 120x120 is the size of my current duvet.
Living life on the edge. That sounds like a good idea though. I’m going to try that, thanks
Is the West Elm linen duvet cover itchy or scratchy? I hear linen isn’t as soft as cotton, or am I mistaken?
It is definitely not as soft as cotton, but I'm not getting a scratchy or itchy feel from the West Elm.
😭😭😭 I bought an oversized king comforter 120x98” and now I cant find a quality duvet cover that fits.
I need help pleeease. I like to feel my comforter on me...not fluffy sleep on a cloud. But it seem like everything out there is light weight on body sleep on a cloud lofty. Is there any out there that will give you medium warm is soft but you can actually feel it on your body.
Hi. None of those looked really hotel crisp. Do you have to stuff a king sized duvet into a queen duvet cover to get that look?
Can you guys review the duvets from Last Brand please? They're significantly cheaper than most brands but apparently without sacrificing quality.
I didn’t know about all the types. I love the feel of sateen, but sleep hot and need something breathable. I don’t like scratchy things and I’m wondering if percale is scratchy.
I’m thinking about getting a bed jet and wonder if using a duvet with it would be recommended or not?
A duvet should work fine with a BedJet!
Good information. Thx
I bought the Brooklinen duvet cover,
but what what duvet insert do you recommend?
or should I even get an insert?

Good info
What is the feel of the west elm? Is microfiber breathable?
The West Elm has a natural feel. It isn't smooth like cotton, and has more of an uneven texture. Microfiber is not the most breathable.
I bought a 100% bamboo duvet insert. I’m looking for a cover, would a microfiber cover mess up the cool Benefits of my insert? (Hot sleeper)
Yes, if you get microfiber, it is going to cut down on the cooling benefits of the bamboo duvet insert. I would recommend something with cotton and a percale weave.
Mattress Clarity thank you so much!!!
California design den duvet and sheets should be on here

Usher Ush lol insert would be like a down comforter. Cover is the shell for it.
Thank you for the opportunity to win a new mattress, I'm in real need of one, my old memory foam mattress is leaving me uncomfortable and not well rested... Have a good day!
The 10 grove def isn’t my style I much prefer the flat colors. I like the microfiber one tho
If I were to use one again the West Elm sounds interesting and the Brookelinen too, but I am not a fan of duvets.
Red Land Cotton is the best!
I'm cuddl duds all the way!
Holy shit. I saw the zipper in the opening an almost got a semi. The wife an I were just bitching about the stupid buttons yesterday

You seem like a cool dude.
The duvet covers looks so lumpy.
The inventor of the duvet was a sadistic sob. I’ve done away with all of them. There are much simpler solutions for a clean bed.
Like?
Alex K A blanket and a quilt. They are comfortable, easier to make a bed and can be washed weekly in your washer at home.
i like the the 10 grove look out of all of them though a little pricey. however im sure its well worth it.
