Sooo...drum roll 🥁.. They actually make them! It's awesome it cools and heats! It can cool down to 55° and heats up to 115°. You can set each side of the bed differently so you and your other half will have the perfect sleeping condition. I'll put the link below. Me and my other half HAVE to have it very cold to sleep good. We got a slightly oversized Trane heat pump so we could have the house as cold as we want and not have to wait forever for it to get to desired temp. at night we would turn it down to 59° and loved it but unfortunately we had to stop doing that because quickly going from 69° at day to 59° at night cause the house to expand and contract causing our new wood floors to separate in places-that sucks. So! We decided to get a portable AC unit just for our bedroom. It was a great decision! We now get to sleep at 55°, get amazing sleep like a bear in hibernation. The cool thing is the rest of the house is a comfy temp. it's just our bedroom that is like Antarctica lol. www.amazon.com/ChiliPad-Cube-2-0-Temperature-Enhancement/dp/B07GT9NNZD/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=AVI6UFGJJERS&keywords=bed%2Bair%2Bconditioner&qid=1653271675&sprefix=bed%2Bair%2B%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-4&th=1&psc=1
I really like the mesh squares on the ClimaBalance. Loving in Tucson, AZ I am always looking for ways to stay cool. Thank you so much for sharing all this information. I never thought about "Cooling" comforters until now :)
These are some nice affordable comforters, especially the Linenspa. I like the black/graphite color and the look of it. But my best one would have to be the ClimaBalance Comforter for being lightweight and breathable with its mesh squares to help me sleep cool since i tend to sleep hot and its reasonably priced. Brooklinen and Casper seem really nice but are way to expensive for me. Great video👍
If you add a duvet cover to any of the recommendations is that going to mitigate all the "cooling" features & everything about the comforters that helps keep you cooler at night? I'm considering the Casper comforter but want to put a duvet cover on whatever comforter I purchase.
I'm wondering how much the addition of a duvet (comforter) cover affect the cooling ability and the moisture wicking capability of these duvets? Can you answer this question?
It can affect the cooling capabilities of the duvet insert. For example, a thicker duvet cover made with polyester or microfiber is going to make these comforters sleep less cool. On the other hand, a thinner cotton cover can actually help with the cooling
I like a puffy comforter light feeling plus cool to touch . I have hot flashes and cant stand to be hot. I also like a oversized comforter . I recently purchased pima peru percale sheets and they are cold and crisp in which I love. I have the Duvet cover also. All long percale 100% cotton What would you recommend for me?
On BrookLinens own website, when you select the lightweight model, it says ultra cool and ultra warm both in the description…extremely confusing. Likeeee which is it..?
Love this video but I need help. I dont have a ton of money. My 2 kids share a queen bed. Both run hot but my oldest is super hot all the time and cant sleep. Even with fan full blast. I need a good cooling comforter that can go in their duvet cover. The duvet is microfiber and we just bought it and cant send it back. I thought I just needed cooling sheets but they are sooooo expensive. Pmease help. We already bought the lucid gel infused air chamber mattress pad u recommended. Help asap!
What is the most fluffiest, cool just perfect duvet insert or comforter you’d reccomend to me? I want a queen size, and will spend up to in the $400’s… i’ve noticed the casper, brooklinen and egyptian has been a fav… i’m also considering avocada’s alpaca duvet insert.
I deal with the same issue. But it's the bf and we're soon going to be living together. I've honestly looked into this issue and may sound dumb. But most cut half of the comforter of warm and cold and sew them together to get 1 comforter. 🙆
Wow, the Linenspa under $30!..and it's so nice too! I like the look of it and the thickness. I'm not to much of a hot sleeper but during hot summer nights this comforter would be great! I like that it has tabs on the corners so I could put a cover over it,
Hey guys! I’ve been using the greenfirst hypoallergenic comforter but now it’s worn out and I was looking for something similar. Its kept me cool and was great in all temperatures throughout the year. Any recommendations for which I should go with? The shell for it is 100% cotton and filling is 100% polyester
Hi, I’m a very hot sleeper, I’ve always been but now I’m going through menopause and the hot flashes and night sweats are so annoying. My problem is right after a hot flash, I get really cold and so I’m hot cold, hot cold. Meanwhile, my husband is freezing. Is there something you might recommend? I don’t want to end up with each of us having our own blankets. Thanks.
I'm likely getting a Purple mattress and pillow... As a hot sleeper, who uses a thin, typical microfiber blanket, do you think I'd be good on cooling with just the mattress/pillow change? I'm feeling the ClimaBalance is right for me due to REM sleep increase on top. What would you recommend? 180lbs, tosser, blanket kicker. Fan of firmness, in case there is another mattress you think I should consider.
The Purple mattress should definitely help keep things cooler. We're big fans of the mattress here. Also, the Climabalance could add even more cooling for you, but maybe see how you feel after getting the mattress and pillow?
@@Mattressclarity I figured the ClimaBalance was cheap enough so I went ahead and snagged it, fixing to lock in a Purple though. If something doesn't work out, it can always be returned. :) Have you guys ever ran a FLIR test on this stuff? That could be pretty telling using different combos!
@@josho.9530 Was about to buy the ClimaBalance when I saw your post. Did you end up finding one that is more breathable and sleeps cooler? Surprised that the ventilation mesh sections didn't help?
This was very helpful because It was cumbersome looking for the right "down comforter" that didnt make you feel hot. Im thinking Climablance just because down comforters in general make me hot. The Casper seemed like a good choice also... It was a tough decision. Going to order mine this week and hope for the best. I just hope the climablance isnt too cool if you know what I mean.
I think for the price I would have to go with the Linenspa, I tend to sleep hot then cold then hot..lol so I think this one would do fine, just not trying to spend a fortune on a comforter, and this one seems like it will keep me cool enough in the summer. Thanks for all the reviews.
A duvet cover is going to cut down on breathability just a bit. However, if you pick a thinner duvet cover with cotton and a percale weave, it should still allow for some good airflow.
I need a new comforter and am struggling finding one that is super soft. I typically like the feeling of pure cotton comforters that are really old and worn to a fine softness. Are there any comforters that have that super soft, smooth, light, almost worn in feel to them? I use Pure Beech sheets and adore them but they make me sweat like crazy. But, that’s the general feeling I like. I’m all about softness. Which comforter is the softest to you guys?
Yeah, I definitely know the feeling you are talking about. It is hard to get without using the comforter for a bit. That being said, we found the Brooklinen down comforter to be quite soft on the outside.
Amazon has higher rated comforters than are profiled here. It really takes a long time to research, compare contrast. So your vid here is just a good start :)
So, this is a review that I really need. I am always trying to regulate my temperature during the night. I'm too hot (comforter off), now I'm too cold (comforter back on), fall back to sleep, wake up, repeat! Now try one foot out of the covers and one foot in! Nah! So I'm liking the Clima Balance with those breathable hi-tech mesh squares and it is a down alternative which I need and the Comfort Spaces with its Mica-X moisture wicking properties and great price. Thanks so much for this great review Marten!
Probably the Linenspa, would it help get rid of this migraine that is coming on? Sorry grouchy from the pain, should have waited to place my comment on here.
"Climate zones" huh? Sounds like a clever marketing ploy to justify the price tag of a blanket with half the material 😂 Edit - $100?? Oh Holy Blanket, please grant me a refund for I have sinned!

I’m a hot sleeper everyday of the year, every season, I wish there was an electric blanket where instead of heat, it’s cold air 💙
Me too I hope that will invented soon
That would be fantastic!! I have a ceiling fan, a small fan and a hand held fan to cool myself during a hot flash!!

@YosemiteSam, I've heard of 1/2 duvet inserts. You and your partner pick the type of warmth you desire and zip them up to become one.
how would these comforters be for keeping you warm in the winter?
Just add the duvet cover 😄, you can go with velvet, flannel or even cotton will do the job.
