that's weird how I can hear the engine making like a buzzing sound every other 1/2 second. I can kind of hear that in the f3's on Automobilista 2. It sounds like they kinda got it right
Never really paid much attention to it as that's how they all sound, could be a harmonic in the engine, or the camera itself, or the bodywork the camera is mounted to, you get some weird effects to the visuals and sounds when you vibrate everything at high and variable frequencies. As I put on some of the older formula renault and radical videos you'll see them vibrate the lenses and camera boxes to destruction, and an old Williams FW07 eats a camera at Spa during a Masters Historic race, it's cool up to that point though.
@Kronikman07 @Shuntmonkey6024 Could be the whooshing sounds of the sponsor and brake marker boards on the side of the road placed about 1s apart. Even the small ones you can hear at 150kph.
Dan has always been sooooo damn talented! Literally Lando level ability - arguably better racecraft when coming through the pack. He could've beaten Lando to the title without his race ban (for ironically crashing into Lando at Croft) as well as the unforgiveable colossal brain fart at Silverstone... It is a big shame that Silverstone, as well as his tendency to be outspoken when he didn't need too - ruined his chances of F1 when he was literally on the cusp of a Toro Rosso seat (Marko rated him super highly) A lesson to many others coming through!
@@Monty3540 yep he can definitely still be outspoken, theres recent evidence of that in formula e recordings. The first few years of uk f4 with this car had some amazing talent on the grid that have all gobe really far in international racing, shows the strength we have in uk racing grids
Yeah he's pretty good, was quite a strong grid even though it was the first time it was called MSA F4 after morphing from the old Formula Ford championship. Alongside Ticktum were Norris, Herta, Collard, Ahmed, Sowery, Fielding, Leist, Mitchell, Florescu.
Pretty awesome race. I wish we could have seen what was going on behind you. it seems like it was pretty interesting at times. Out of curiosity do you run super low air pressure? The middle of the tire looks like it's cool or super hot hard to tell by video. My gut tells me it could benefit from 1 to 3 more PSI in the front tires.
Yeah no rear cameras on these ones, some of the other stuff I'll be putting on has multiple cameras but these F4's arent allowed. And no they don't run really low pressures, this series had essentially F3 tyres on the F4 car so the tyre was designed for way more speed and downforce so on the F4 it can't generate the load, and hence you can easily get cold graining so the warmup before the start is very important to tyre life.
Thanks for that, the latest one of Toby Sowery at Rockingham has lots of overtaking too, and a nice battle with Lando Norris and Colton Herta, check it out
@@shuntmonkey6024 Thanks, I'll watch everything because these races, as an old minor single-seater driver from the 60s of the last century, interest me a lot. Greetings from Italy, Fabrizio
@@fabrizioviscardi40 haha, excellent, I'll keep you busy then by posting each week hopefully! Supposed to be back at imola next month but apparently the f1 prep isn't ready so we can't go there for elms, hopefully later in the year I'll go back. Monza is my favourite Italian track

Do you mean the sound of the induction roar, occasionally get a "bark" from the engine as the throttle opens and the air rushes in? Doesn't sound as weird as the US F4 Honda engine, at idle it sounds like water boiling in a pot, bubbling away. I had Brazilian drivers in those cars in 2019 and have started adding the videos, have a look.
Most come to F4 from Karting, don't know the exact numbers but probably around £200-250k for a full season, and I have heard it's often cheaper than the last year of karting for these guys.
It runs a little Ford ecoboost, this championship morphed from what was the end of the UK formula ford championship so everyone has the mandatory Ford engine. The US F4 runs a Honda, I'll be putting some videos on from that championship at some point in the future.
Well you can buy one quite cheap in the UK as they have been replaced by a new specification, all the old ones usually end up as school cars at race tracks!
Yeah, but they do make some amazing crashes, and there's some that if you hit them just right they can help a bit, exit of turn 1 at RedBull Ring for example. Very easy to just lose traction or even launch the car.
subscribed. love raw onboards
Thankyou, lots more to come, many years worth
and this was just lap 1. Biggest circuit ever 😂
Maybe if it was the Nordschleife then yeah! A few more hills in Germany rather than flat old Norfolk
Fantástico!!!! Pra mim, um dos melhores pilotos da atualidade!!! Me lembra o Senna!!!
His aggression was really good in traffic, helped him come through a lot of places

Thanks for watching, F4 was always entertaining mid-pack, kids learning their craft, making mistakes and charging through
He got 3 positions on the first 2 turns… not bad 😎
First one he gets is Lando Norris in the 31 car
