- PS5 has been out for more than a month and that gave me plenty of time to gather my honest impressions.
Is the PlayStation 5 Pro hype already over? Is the upgrade worth it? Time to answer all of these questions in todays video.

After watching Mark Cerny's technical seminar, i deffo think the PS5 Pro is worth it. Especially if you're coming from PS4
I went To pc Im returning To ps5 pro because of the real jump and catalog of ps4 digital too

This is a tiresome debate. If you've got a PS5, the Pro isn't essential. If you've not come from a PS5 and have the money, it's well worth it.
It's pretty much as simple as that.

Hi, can you check if you have "luminance overshoot" on your lg b4? I have this tv in 48 inches, and i notice this issue in darker content where theres a white trail that follows the edges of shadows. The trail disappears when the motion has stopped. You can test this on your tv with a video on youtube called "resident evil 4 remake - near black chrominance overshoot test". Can you check using filmaker mode at 50 percent brightness as thats the mode i typically use on my tv.
I'll try this out and let you know. I'm away for a bit so please give me some time to test this out, but I'll get back to you
I use this on Samsung QN90B 75inch panel. Different table from 85 inch model
I got to test this out and I haven't seen any trail signs. I tried filmaker at 50% but also the custom mode that I usually use and had no issues. I've seen others mentioning this for LG OLEDs but it looks like my model is ok

@@edwin99901 No problem. If you can exchange it, then definitely. I know that different sizes might be using different panels some times, like Samsung is doing. But haven't seen anything related to LG yet. But that could be the case, or a faulty unit

Not sure. I just got it with my new tv purchase. I was playing a fat ps4 last month lol. Im loving it on the LG G3 Oled
Now THAT is a setup right there. G3 and PS5 PRO? Damn!
If you cant afford a pc then yeah, if your not computer savvy like im not then yeah, if you want to get a pc with a 4060 that you can upgrade later then no. 700$ 4070 build that can upgrade is better because of potentially upgrading later. However if u want something better and know how to build a pc then the ps5 is silly.
If u have money to get a 4090 build with some crazy processer then get a pc.
Ps5pro is good if you're definitely only sony or dont know pcs so its good.
If i knew how to build a pc i would have done. Get a pre-built and save and upgrade and u will eventually be better the Ps5pro.
There are a lot of factors to consider and as you mentioned, different scenarios for different people. In the end it's good to have the option.
And I already know people that bought the Pro just because they don't want a PC and want the latest and best console. And that's fine. For me, I'd rather stick with the standard PS5 and maybe get something extra for the extra money, maybe something like a Steam Deck.
But again, I'm happy the Pro exists as we have more options on the market
nha man for real, i've seen lots of people thinking that the ps5 pro equals a 4070, and oh man that's not the case, i've seen pc centered youtube channels making gaming pc's that have minor upper hand on the ps5pro and using a 4060ti, a 4070 is just overkill, if you don't mind the spanish chatter and a lenghty video (even tho you can skip to the performance tests) i'd recommned to watch one of the recent videos of a channel named "tortilla squad" where they debunk all the lies about the ps5pro being like a 4070, video is about half an hour to watch but hey they show everything from the parts they boght, why the bought em, how they assemble everything, and performance and graphic quality testing various games like alan wake, black myth wukong and even astro bot, and no they don't pay me for this, im not a bot, is just the best video at explaining this very topic at least that i know.
I have an LG C1, in Canada the Ps5 slim is $475 and right now there are no taxes for 2 months for game consoles, and the PS5 pro is over $800. Definitely not worth it for the extra money. Im only getting a PS5 for GTA VI, otherwise I have a PC with an RTX 4080 anyway that im totally fine with. Ill probably even go with a Series X over a PS5 to be honest.
I really don’t see too many reasons to get an Xbox if you already have a good PC. Playstation still have plenty of exclusives that I’m a fan of but if you are not in a rush to play them day 1 and can wait for the PC release, then your good with only a PC. But if you still want a PS, then the slim or even original one are more than enough
@TheTechUnravel I said the only reason I'm getting a console is for the new GTA, but otherwise I'm just going to be using my PC for other games.
@@Gaetano.94 True, GTA VI is definitely worth getting a console. My point was that if you are getting a console, my opinion would be to get a PS5 for the extra games. But only if this is something you are interested in
it's too risky of a financial investment with all of the inherent design flaws and over-heating issues Buyers are experiencing

It is truly a overpriced pretty worthless console but what I absolutely find funny is they also say People with "Standard TV set ups" are the ones saying it's not worth it.
Fact is it's not Worth it in anyway shape or form.
I have a 65-inch LG C3 TV with all the glits an glamor bells and whistles and I would NEVER buy a PS5 Pro for any reason for multiple reasons.
1. It's Aimed at the most Extreme Brand Loyalists that throw Common Sence out the window(So the minority of the Minority) that also paid Scalpers $800+ for the PS5 in 2020. Witch is why its priced the way it is.
2. The $300+ for the most minimally upgraded least accessible console on the market is just dumb.
3. It's nothing more then a test product an money generator.
4. NO DISC DRIVE is INSANE. I would never buy a digital only Console cause I have a brain..
5. It's in NO WAY worth the Money whether you have a "Standard" TV or Higher end OLED TV.
In the end this is not worth it for the mass majority. But I still like that this exists for those who want the option. If they just want the best and they have the money, then why not? It’s not for everyone and that’s ok
@TheTechUnravel the problem is with that logic, (Tho I do 100% Agree for the Having the option) is its not really the best for the money. It's just Money and Less in reality.
Simply because 99.9% of the time it doesn't do that much better if at all better than a standard PS5 and its Developers that are Lazy and completely rely on AI upscaling instead of actually doing the Optimization work with AI upscaling as a helpful tool witch is what I think is more the actual problem for the whole PS5 Generation and No Disc Drive means it less accessible..
@@RedPillAlways Then we are pretty much saying the same thing. I mentioned a couple of times in the video as well that the price difference is the biggest problem for me. While there are some minor improvements which can be enough for some games and some users, the price difference is definitely not justified. That's the main reason why I didn't keep it
@TheTechUnravel Yes again 100% agree. It's an insane move Sony is pulling but I see why they're doing it. I honestly think that the 2020-2021 PS5 scalper debacle is what led this on. JUST hear me out. I called this in 2021
You got to think Sony saw that there was a set group of people that were willing to pay $800- 1200 for a Basic PS5.. But console sales were extremely far down until around 2022 when it leveled out. Then the Majority came in an sales dramatically boosted. The Disc Edition is the most sold of the 2, same with the Slim.
Now they add a little Ai(r) fluff and take away the disc drive stop selling the Removable Disc drive($80) for a while and Slap $200 more then Base (Same as what Scalpers was doing in 2020- 2021)sticker on it. They can now see directly how many or a % of their fanbase is absolutely willing to pay anything and own nothing(Making the PS5 Pro a VERY VERY niche/small scale product) while making a much better Profit margin in the process off less sales. Hence why I call this a Test Product, it will help determine the outcome of the PS6..
If you think thats crazy an out of the scope of reality let me know..

If you don't have a PS5 and has more budget go with the PRO. But if you already have PS5, there's no reason to upgrade.
There are several factors to consider. But if you have the money, even if the price difference is quite big, then definitely go for the PRO

and it's got a battery and it only lasts this for 20 years and that's bad Xbox Series x don't have that
That's why I was going to say the TVs that's what gives it the good image My Xbox series x it's like when I play games it's like watching a movie that's how good my my graphics are I got a two terabyte belt in the Galaxy limited edition SSD Seagate expansion card 2tb terabyte and another one one 1tb Seagate SSD with a green LED light and 8tb Seagate HD green LED light mine so fast in seconds one click of a button it's on
and got halo infinite Xbox series x limited edition nothing beats that $1100 something I pay for that
