Wow! Now I see the severity of the damage on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner cab car 6902, including the footage of the damaged and burnt cab car at time of the crash in 2001. It's such a shame that Amtrak Pacific Surfliner cab car 6902 showed service on the Pacific Surfliner route for only a year. If cab car 6902 would have gotten repaired on time, that cab car unit would have been given the name of "Point Pinos" or "Point Fermin". All Amtrak Pacific Surfliner railcars that were delivered in 2000 have been given names since 2008.
