The arrow will show when you move the mouse over the Opacity opption.. Thanks

right click and click the create clipping mask, you will get that arrow

my suggestions to anyone else trying to actually make the thumbnail; follow this tutorial but then use the liquify tool to make the gradient more realistic/personalized, make the outline thinner, make an under layer that you blur to create a soft glow, and make the outline gradient darker by a few than the inside gradient

When you're making the stroke gradient, why do you go back to black to make each new color? Bit of a waste of time, isn't it?
