I also appreciate that you don't waste the viewer's time with a bunch of self-aggrandizing personal branding, get straight to the point and keep the tutorializing lean and concise. Very nice work.

I made gold text and logos for the casino industry for over a decade and I never imagined using gradients maps like this to distort/bend the surface reflection. Unique to my knowledge and looks amazing! 👍
Not using Photoshop, but writing effects in software with a fancy image processing library. Hard to get shiny colored metals right, and then have just enough scratchiness and fingerprinty crud for realism. Just regular ol' shiny metal is easy, but the nuances, and surface effects... you have done a fantastic tutorial applicable to more than just PS!

I used this for a filigree design and replacing the linear gradient with a rendered clouds layer and tweaking the contrast made it look amazing. Thanks for this technique!!!

I've been looking for a great metallic tutorial for photoshop and none have gone into depth like this to really explain the document setup + what each effect is doing doing concisely without dragging the tutorial on for an eternity. I've been using photoshop for about 15 years and there are still effects that I have no idea what they do so I don't think to apply them to my work. This is a great tutorial, I followed it and made my own rough gold texture by setting the noise of the inner shadow to 50% , size to 90, choke to 9 and opacity to 35% and setting outer glow😀😀😀
