Several songs within these chiptunes have only been made with one channel, yet it sounds like many channels. Just look at beatboxing outside of programmed music. Edit: Even though the original Pac-Man arcade system had a chip with only three channels, it seems to only use two at most.

0:16 How is the volume fluctuation done? The volume speed differs per pitch, and I have no idea if that can be done automatically, or you're manually setting tremolo commands per each pitch.
0:26 it's amazing to me how they made an iconic sound effect for the power pellet. The song Ms Pac Man by Apollo Allstars (NSFW, it's a booty shake song) uses it as some sort of high hat pattern, I think it works brilliantly there.
I was recently playing pac-man's pixel bash, the games roms came from namco museum 50th anniversary due to their exact same transposition. But, compared to ps2 and gamecube, the pixel bash machine ran games a little slower, that also ended up slightly messing with the sound chip causing pac man to sound like his voice was cracking. His wsg wasn't wsg'ing
I just searched up the Pac-Man WSG waves and drew each one individually based on the images and the values listed in them. These waveforms can be drawn however you want based on a few limits.
So, you need to draw the waveform you'd like to use, whether that be a recreation of a sample, a classic Namco wave, or other waveform. I found the Pac-Man ones by searching it up and finding an image of the waveforms graphed. I took the data listed and recreated them as shown on it.
I used the music tracker Furnace to make the audio. Thanks to it supporting many sound chips (and more to be added in future updates), I used the Namco WSG for accurate sounding waveforms.
@@JackTheGamer3, first off, I'm the only one that made this (sorry if I sounded rude). I simply searched it up. I don't remember what term I used, but I believe it might've been "Pac-Man Waveforms" or something like that.

0:05 NES Triangle?
Not exactly, it's a Namco waveform drawn in the shape of a triangle wave.
NES Triangle is actually more rounded in comparison due to a low pass filter applied to it.
