Thank you Jon! I was waiting for this video and you delivered. Louise may not have been as well known as Nell Gwyn or notorious as Barbara Palmer but she was very influential. She was one of the three women Charles II thought about before his death the other two were his queen, Catherine, and Nell. Through her son Charles Lennox Louise is an ancestor of three women who married into the current Royal Family: Diana, Princess of Wales, Sarah Fergusson and Queen Camilla. I also found out actor Kit Harrington is also her descendant! Great video and thanks again. It was worth the wait. xx

Incredible depictions of her gowns and jewelry. Had read about her and how she slithered into the English court and relationship with Charles II. She was obviously very intelligent. Thanks for this video.

Yet again, Jon, you do not disappoint. What a great video! I’m learning that so many mistresses have such intellect and power. They appear to have more power than the king’s wives. Job well done!

Hi Jon! Lovely to be with you again. I am going to be totally honest with you but I don’t know anything about Louise. As always, a wonderful education about another unknown!! I suppose I have studied the dark times of the Plantagenets and Tudors. I was, perhaps, addicted to them … thank you for sharing this interesting journey ❤

Louise de Kerouille she was stunningly beautiful !! I can see why she caught the English monarch's eyes. She really knew how to use her charm to her advantage. She was very fasinating and she had many ambitions in her life.
She had an intelligent mind, she knew how to navigate through the English court of the royal monarch King Charles 2.

One of the reason I like the French over the English is that they are more open people and less judgemental towards people in general.

We French and English have a long convoluted history.the plantagenets were normands(viking ancestry).ie:Richard heart of lion, etc, sons of Eleanor of Aquitaine,Duchess of the territory of Aquitaine that therefore became part of the English crown.i used to live in a small Armagnac town that was created by two nobles, one with a french name, the other with an English one.in those days it was hard to differentiate,🫣🤔
