Amanda was a very good face for the club and the fans liked her - she had the likeability factor didn’t she. According to sky the PIF are buying the extra 6% of shares which could be worth £50m which is a nice return for Amanda and her husband. Looks to me like the club is in good hands with a good structure and they’ve left it in a good place to move forward.

Might be due to Amandas health, it is a stressful job but either way they go with all our love and respect ❤

Amanda is a deal maker, she did the impossible then built a full board operating structure who can run the club. What she did for us was very special, we will never forget that and now the right time for Amanda for her next step and the Club ours.
I’m only a very recent fan of football in general. After watching the series on Prime, Amanda was the reason I started following NUFC. Just seeing how MUCH she cared about the club, the boys and the fans really made me feel that this is a community, more than a football club. It’s something that you rarely see from owners of any company.
I’m sure this is one of her toughest decisions she’s ever made, but we’re so much better for just having Amanda standing and fighting for NUFC.
Thank you Amanda, you and your Husband saved the club..

I'm gutted too,Paul. I can't imagine the problems she faced with Ashley on the takeover, but was elated she succeeded. I also read she generously helped to donate money to fix up the Tyne Bridge. I wish them both well.

It's obvious that Darren eals will be the one to take her role and talk to the fans and that. He was so loved by atalanta fans.
When the takeover happened Amanda and con took on directorships of all Newcastle boards and subsidiary companies they have now got an executive team in place so they are withdrawing from the subsidiaries but will remain on the main board
Amanda needs a statue outside the stadium!
Someone needs to e mail them or club and make sure they are there for 1st home game so fans can show their appreciation won't be a dry eye in the place

Paul. At a guess I think they were here to stabilise the club and set up a plan to run the club from there. We have made progress a lot quicker than expected. Amanda and her husband have other interests that may be suffering from the amount. There is also another possible reason that you will understand better than me as although Parkinson's and Huntington's are different diseasesthey are similar in that they are progressive and are incurable. Nine years ago, Amanda was diagnosed with a genetic disease Huntington's which is a progressive breakdown of brain cells. I am certain that they have put in place during their time here to keep the club on its current upward course. Darren Eales as CEO would be hard to better likes to communicate with the fans just like Amanda. She has also brought top men in their different fields to support him and I think the final piece of the jigsaw was Paul Mitchell. I sincerely hope they are invited to the first game of the season and that Wor flags puts on a special farewell for them.
I am sorry I missed the live show but when I saw the news on the Chronicle I looked for TTR straight away. Daily nominations filled and sent as normal.
Amanda has Huntingtons disease its horrific lost alot of family to this disease this could well have a part in it . Irs a killer she will get very unwell and sign may have started and once it does it wont get better . Least stress as possible helps to prolong so guess running nufc is a no no to me . I thank her fir what she has done n one day she may have a statue.
The only surprise for me is she lasted 3 years. She was nearly declared bankrupt a few months the ago over an outstanding £3.8m she owed so how did anyone expect her to continue paying 6% of what the ownership are continuing to put into the club? She did well and probably will walk away with a big profit on her initial 10%
Untold thanks due to the both of them for rescuing wor club, and never forget the determination and perseverance they had to show to overcome the obstacles put up by the elite cartel clubs and the feet-dragging reluctance of the Premier League to eventually sanction the takeover.
Paul, all fans will be gutted that they are leaving but on a positive note we have got world class operators in senior positions ( Eales, Silverstone, Mitchell etc ) to run our club, they are experts in their relative fields who will do things right, to put things into perspective, think back to the muppets Ashley and Charnley running the club,
I am absolutely gutted. I truly thought they would stay.

The one concern that I've had for some time is that the Saudis could sell the club and buy one of the big club brands who have money coming in which would allow the Saudis to spend big. FFP has put back their plans. I really hope that I am wrong about this. I could not stand having an Ashley mk 2.
I don't think they had the money to put into newcastle, and maybe that was part of the reason.

I think people are looking at it too negatively. Maybe they had both agreed to leave the club when it met the right criteria. This all could be because they’ve excelled so much that they have reached that criteria a lot sooner than expected. Could be a positive

Personally, I worry that the fans will suffer a bit from what I perceive to be a bit too much silence from the rest of the club's management, and that's WITH her in place. Without her the club has some PR work to pick up I think.

⚒️ fan but enjoy watching your shows, do you think the 2 leaving has anything to do with Paul Mitchell coming in, I know it's been reported his come in as DOF but he did at one time run all of Red Bull's global football network so could he be taking on a bigger rule in the day to day running of the club, probably qualified enough to.
I don’t think it has anything to do with Paul Mitchell’s impending arrival, in fact if we are honest we kind have known it was on the cards especially when we saw they’d sold some of their shares to Jamie Reuben around this time last year.

Thankyou to merdhad and Amanda for showing the whole Premier league how a club should be run in the right way. I wish them luck in future endeavours. The question I have will there be an objection from prem league as Amanda and merdhad had to make guarantees that the club wouldn't be owned outright by pif which was a reason the deal took longer to get over the line I'm not sure what pifs percentage is now and will be after aswell as Ruben's stake. Maybe it was done so those shares could be sold to generate more money for psr ffp for the club. I'll miss seeing her smiling face

Some very rough maths here but if the acquisition was 300m and Amanda had 6% that's 18m. If PIF now reckon the club is worth 1bn then 6% of that is 60m. Pretty much what we were reported to be willing to pay for olise. Coincidence?

Absolutely gutted they took us off the life support machine we were on let us breathe. Looking at her business background, she has made her name and money through investing in businesses and then sell her shares to make aprofit, so not supprised that she is leaving but agree it was sooner than expected but was always going to happen

Loads of blinded Toon fans will resent this but they’re wrong and misinformed. Hearts rule heads but she had to go… Her business conduct would’ve been a big turn off for the PIF who would have viewed her as a risk. Yes she’s a great salesperson and undoubtedly had a positive impact of this clubs future. But she was a facilitator and will move on to her next project. I wish her all the best but I honestly think the club is better off without her…..

Amanda is a deal broker. She will have made a tidy profit as a result of her time and financial investment. Very well done to her but she was always likely to take her remaining profit(she's already liquidated part of her Newcastle holdings) and use it for other deals. I'm very grateful for all she has done for the club and wish her all the best for the future. I'm curious how long the Reubens wait to follow. In my experience the Saudis don't share if they can avoid it

There’s something bigger coming down the line! Poor financial planning led to the sale of two very good young players in Anderson and Minteh , why was that allowed to happen? That wasn’t good business; it was pure financial panic ! I wonder how Eddie Howe felt about that?Apparently she wasn’t happy with the Mitchell appointment. The position of Eddie Howe looks a little tenuous as Amanda was always his champion- England could come calling very soon.
I believe PIF will look at bigger fish, in the near future to invest in so they can see a bigger return for their money .

What I’m hearing is it’s due to having Huntingtons disease , Iv had 4 members of my family die with disease and one nearly their so she couldn’t of kept working for ever , sad to see her go and I’m even sadder if she has the disease as I know what’s coming to her and her family, my heart goes out to her 🫶🏼 if this is true
