    Hi, I'm new to ACC and came across your channel and you are by far the most detailed narrator of your videos. The track guide is on point so the repeat of the sectors, the slow motions, it's brilliant. Keep up the good work.

      Hey Joel, welcome aboard! Great you found the guide(s) helpful, do jump in the discord if you need any further assistance we have a wealth of knowledge (far more than me). Thanks for the kind words and keep up the hard work on ACC. It's worth it.

      @@Zermatt1 Thank you...I have been doing GT Sport on PS4 for about 2 years now and all these world tracks are foreign to me only seen them on TV big F1 fan. I find the ACC hard to navigate and simple things like get someone's ghost and follow to get their lanes I can't find it, they probably don't have it for what I know...so again videos such as yours are extremely helpful. Again will go to that side and find more information.

    Been following your guides to learn tracks i'm unfamiliar with over the past couple of weeks...they're absolutley brilliant. They've helped me consistently achieve laptimes i've set as realistic targets for myself. I'm having an absolute blast and following the guides has helped me develop a process to learn the tracks quicker and find time through experimentation as you've suggested in your vids. Still have lots to learn, really enjoying the journey...thanks for all the efforts and hard work ...subbed!

      @@Zermatt1 Hi Matt, quick update since my previous message...been spending a couple of hours a day practicing Hungaroring in the 911 GT3. From my initial 1:48s i'm now consistently hitting mid 1:45s and broke into 1:44s today with my best lap so far a 1:44.53. Have been working on my throttle technique today by trying to get on the power earlier and found that really helped reduce laptimes. Just need to keep practicing and committing this technique to muscle memory. Take care and catch up soon!

    Thanks for the track guide. Yours is the best format of track guide I've seen so far where you play each section multiple times and the overhead is great too. I've not been able to do under 1:47 in the McLaren so far so I'll give it another go using your info.

    • @Zermatt1

      Thanks for the kind words! Please let me know how you get on, think opening up the steering to straighten exits on this track is the key for me. Lots of run off to take advantage of.

      @@Zermatt1 Thanks so much for your response. Best I've got down to now is 1:46.1. I've tried your steering idea which really helps. One thing my mind struggles with is letting the car coast around corners (which seems to be crucial for this type of driving) so I'm concentrating on trying to do that now.

      @@Zermatt1 I had a couple of league races tonight (30 minutes each) at Hungaroring and finished 15th and 8th. I was able to get into the high 1:45's with race fuel and was really happy with the way I drove. Thanks so much for the words of advice and the video which I watched a few times.

    I love the setup of your lapguide. Still in the 1.47's in the Aston v8 on practice, managed a 1.46.0 on hotlap though. Trying to avoid screeching sound amap and find a smoothness thats still fast. Honestly i'd settle for a consistent 1.45...

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a good approach to me, set aside some time to train and actually try different things on track not just lap after lap after lap as there’s no point. Study the guides / other laps and see where the differences are. I’d say almost everyone is too impatient on this game, tries to get on the throttle 50% of the way ans it just loses them time, the car pushes wide and it’s a downhill spiral from there. Much better to be patient, and be hard on the throttle in one movement as you won’t get the scrub on front tires and obviously accelerate faster. Pure speculation as haven’t seen you drive but maybe something to think about, Toby. Let me know how you get on bud.

    • @Tobus75
      @Tobus75 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zermatt1 Well I'm getting frustrated, to be honest. On normal training and with all your tips I managed a 1:46.4 fastest, full on concentrating. That said, almost every lap has a blunder or some out of place movement, ruining the already just only a bit faster lap. I'm almost enraged with myself for not understanding why. I can perfectly be happy with a time within 1-1.5 sec on top of your lapguide, but doing everything "by the book", feeling fast and stable, only to clock a 1:48 makes me want to ragequit at this point :-D.
      I'd be really happy to train with you sometime, if you'd be interested?

    Hey, I cant thank you enough for the guide! Earned a sub and I hope you make a load more of these guides (Havent checked out your youtube yet!). Question though, im in the Ferrari 488 EVO, and when I try to nail the curb on section two (first one) by downshifting twice, and then hitting the throttle, my ferrari doesnt like to stay on track (it rebels and goes off the edge). Im fairly new to ACC and was wondering if the default aggressive setup just doesnt have enough stick for that, or is it just me?

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Alex - thanks for the sub and comment. We’re on a great growth path right now so welcome to the train. Lots more guides (I’m slowly getting through them) and loads of races in RCI/AOR/ACR top tiers to get stuck into as well.
      Will have to give me a bit more info I’m afraid, come join the discord and start a discussion with a video clip - there’s a wealth of resources from fast people (faster than me), tuners, top tier strategists abs I’m sure we can answer this together. The Ferrari defaults don’t tend to be that compliant over curbs and that one is a particular big one so depending on the way you’re hitting it it could be a very simple, or not answer!!

    So sometimes if you are mid turn , short shifting will eliminate that unwanted torque so you don’t spin out on corner exit?

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes sometimes! Better to be in the gear you want to be in when you exit … before you get on the power 90% of the time however

  • @RacersWithData
    @RacersWithData 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Matt. Really liking your track guide format. Its been really helpful.
    A question about the chicane section: did the track limits changed? I remember last time you could really cut the curbs there but in the latest upsate it seems you have to be a bit "safer"

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. Don't think the track limits have changed in terms of tetting a warning or not. It's very car dependent. In GT4 you can clobber these curbs no worries, and in some GT3 cars you can (Merc Evo for example) but most you can't..

    So you go for a high preload on the dif and this tends to cause oversteer on power exit? But it helps stability on brakes into corner? Great guides.

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly that, all about finding the balance for you and the other aspects of the tune so you aren’t scrubbing the tires too much.

    How much potential do you think the Lexus has on this track in terms of lap time

    • @Zermatt1
      @Zermatt1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So these are pretty warm conditions (above 33c track temp) but the lexus is distinctly mid-pack around here. Cars like the Porsche (obviously), Merc, Ferrari and Audi will be faster, however definitely ahead of the BMW/Mclaren and Nissan. I'd expect to be 2-4 tenths off a ferrari time for example. Hope that answers the question?
