Been struggling to go under 2m22 on this. This is a really useful guide again and your format is the best out there I think. This one is particularly useful for me as I tend to drive the Lexus. I'm struggling on the trail braking and keeping it flat through eu rouge but this is a great help. Thanks again!
I did almost 100 laps of pratice in the last 2 days. I progressed from 2:22 to 2:21, it's really frustrating, this track is so hard to master. I will try to brake earlier and see if I can get faster that way
@@Zermatt1 Well today I got a 2:21.5 thanks to remembering your tips for La Source and Les Combes in particular. Thanks so much.. I have found this guide really useful
I'm still referring to your excellent guide. Did a 2:20.05 today - so close to getting down into the teens!!! For some reason I'm really struggling on the corner with no name but I'm going to keep on it!
What a great guide! Can't wait to get back behind the wheel to check out all your small and big hints! Others would make coaching videos for this amount of information.
Just think what’s in a coaching session ;) thanks for your comment Norman, I’m trying to think of a way to make these guides even more extensive for later in the year. It’s one for the think jar!
another great guide!! helped me go from chaotic 2:25s down to tighter 2:23s and occasional low 22/high21 still so much to learn but your method of explaining where it could go wrong has once again helped me bridge the gap from way-way-off-pace to at least nipping at the heels of AM times.
I never comment on vids, but this track guide is stellar man! Love the way you chat about the balance of the car and always hammering the point of trailbraking and why it should be used at certain corners. I have subscribed and I'm looking forward to using you as my no 1, track guide dude!
@@Zermatt1 executed some of your tips this morning and shaved 3secs of my previous best in my first few laps!(I mean coming from 2:26 - 2:23 is still slow, but to me.... it’s a big deal!) cheers man

Another awesome track guide, thank you! And thank you for choosing and calling out both a race fuel load and weather conditions, matching settings helps a lot with trying to understand what the lap is supposed to feel like. Also it looks like "optimum" track settings vice "fast"? Also appreciate the little GT4 nuggets sprinkled in from time to time. Thanks again, this series is the best!
Hey man, thanks for the kind words!! Yeah all of these will be in optimum unless I say otherwise, most (almost all!) race scenarios are going to be in optimum after any length of time. Looking to explore some less grippy situations eventually when I get through all the tracks and some wet ones!
Very new to sim racing, been primarily a Forza fan but im hooked on ACC, started with the Porsche just love them but it kept stepping out so switched to the Audi R8, have no driving lines on, my best time is 02:23:09 and im caning it, i know im losing time after O roughe but hopefully this guide will help h
@@Zermatt1 hey mate, I managed to shave off a couple of seconds off my lap time at Spa, finally attacking sub 2:20. Could you share your Lexus setup, or give me pointers how to set it up for SPA? It's by far my favourite car and so far I have only been running the aggressive setup, but I feel like it may not be optimal. Today, for the first time, I tried a custom setup I found online for M6 and was blown away how different it felt to stock aggressive M6 setup for SPA. The car was super stable even on curbs and taking eau rouge flat out was a piece of cake (I normally struggle with it).
Great video Matt. My braking points are identical to yours but I’m a second a lap slower. I just need to work out if you’re carrying more corner speed or on throttle earlier...probably the latter
Without looking at telemtry I would take a stab in the dark that because I'm trail braking, although we have the same braking points I'll most likely be carrying more speed into the corners - check out the 'open coaching session' around misano video and goes into detail comparing two braking styles. Obviously this could be completely wrong as haven't seen you drive but just a stab in the dark :)
Nice video again, and the Lexus is one of the more fun cars to drive in ACC. Raidillon still gives me headaches though. Especially when coming on top of Raidillon I lose the rear in the Bentley more often than not. Not good for the confidence :D
@@Zermatt1 it's strange indeed. Never had it before, but I tried a setup from coach dave. Flat out is often hit and miss for me, but yes, flat out. The moment I arrive at the top of Raidillon the back unsettles and I lose the rear.
I need set up help , I am driving the McLaren 650s . I am great at France but here I can even make a lap. Thr car is just all over the place Help please. I need a few tips.
I guess my answer would be be yes, I can, but the other half of this channel is about learning to set cars up - everyone should be tweaking the aggressive setup to their liking so not much point really ....
@@Zermatt1 haha yeah I thought it looked too smooth and pretty for the Xbox version 😁. I've got a series X which tbf looks like it runs 4K 60 so I'm switching over to this from FM7. Next stop PC in the new year 👌👍
@@Zermatt1 I've got my eyes on an alienware AMD with a 3080 in, just waiting till February as I've got a 20 percent off voucher as the wife's work use Dell. Then again, one of the best track guide out there. They could be more up to date but even being outdated, they remain the best.
Best track guides by far, thanks a lot
Glad it helped!
Very in-depth I’ve now seen where I lose all my time I look forward to putting this into practice thanks bud keep the channel going

Wonderful guide. In GTS the green astroturf spins the car if you use too much of as you get on the power.
Cracking track guide as always. A1

legendary track but so difficult to get everything right
Yep super frustrating track that’s for sure! So many little things where timing matters quite a lot

Yeah stavelot is difficult, you can always slightly lift there to get the nose in if needed makes it 100x easier.

Nooooo way, just a very slight lift, maybe not even all the way off..it’s more a confidence thing.

love how you left T and B percentages on screen...nothing like visuals. Thanks!
