From a business perspective, one could make an argument that none of the decision makers actually put success (on the field) of the program at the forefront. It seems like a defunct consumer product and the business model is to continuously re-brand and suck every last dime out of every remaining customer until they have to declare bankruptcy. As husker fans, we are the consumers and we continuously buy-in to any changes being made, and they appease us for a few years until they can’t, then we “re-brand.” I watched until midway of second quarter. I could not agree with your sentiments more. Rhule and staff seem to struggle having this team consistently ready to play both physically and mentally. In addition, what I saw in the second half when the game started to get out of reach, the defense especially gave a half assed effort. With NIL now, players do not need to be "hungry" anymore....many drive more expensive cars than their coaches. I have struggled accepting Rhule since his hire. 90 percent of fans climbed all over me last year when I was making arguments that Rhule is not the man to recreate the Nebraska brand of the past. But, Dylan was signed, WR room was greatly improved, the defensive line I thought that I might be wrong about Rhule. I DESPERATELY want to be wrong about Rhule. However, after games like Illinois, Northern Iowa, and yesterday (what sense did it make to keep Dylan in that game for as long as he was) coupled with the fact that the special teams coach still has a job is convincing me that Rhule is not a good fit at Nebraska.
Sometimes you are just beaten. It isn’t just you lost the game, the other team won the game. In this case both teams played to the final result. Indiana is flat out better than Nebraska. You can discount their players all you want. I will take the guys with the winning effort and attitude. Nebraska didn’t play well. But the credit for that belongs to Indiana.
They had to talk really good players! They had better overall talent! They bought a team and is a very good eye for talent! They will win all their games except maybe Ohio St. we just see the name on the chest. But they had better players and much more confidence!
The guys Indiana brought in were from James Madison and Ohio, for the most part. They got blown out by a team of Sunbelt and MAC players. Rhule isn't getting it done
not according to these podcast hosts, Nebraska had all the better players. when you watch a game and are so mad at the result, you don't see the forest through the trees
You had 2 weeks to prepare,You acted like this Was Indiana of Old, and you got the Hell beat out of You. Indiana doesn't have a History of Football,That Narrative is Changing under Cig, That Stadium will get upgraded to a Bigger Capacity more fitting with what Cig will do going Forward. Indiana to be where they are is Phenomenal, To beat Nebraska 56-7 after a bye week. Indiana proved that They are Better in every faze of the Game. We used a Backup Quarterback and still scored 28 in the Second half. It's simply Nebraska got the Brakes beat off them.
I'm starting to doubt their player assessments. This coaching staff has whiffed on the most important positions they needed in the portal, with sims and then these wideouts.
Why? It’s not an achievement to be the 26th ranked team in a row to beat Nebraska. Do we congratulate teams for beating FCS teams? Beating Nebraska is a baseline, it means nothing, every decent team does it.
Yeah insulting to Indiana after what they did to us. Why do we have journalists and other fans who don’t take opponents seriously and give them the proper respect they deserve. We can’t look down on anyone when we haven’t done anything in close to 3 DECADES. “Indiana isn’t a hostile environment like Ohio st will be” they thrashed us and we didn’t look like we belong in FBS, get a grip
@@ChosenPlaysYTyeah tough to see another W this season. Whole staff needs some changes, maybe my kids will see a competent, competitive Nebraska team in 20 years while we go through rebuild after rebuild and Indiana can have success year 1
It always amazes me how Husker fans deny the obvious after every loss. The Huskers are not as good as their fanbase thinks they are. Indiana is well coached and loaded with talent. I think some Huskers would have a hard time making Indiana's roster. Indiana will win 9-10 games this year. Will Nebraska?
After Indiana’s QB hurt his thumb, he was essentially a non-threat for down field passing. At least for the time being. How did everyone at home know they were going primary to the run and our inept coaching staff made no adjustments? Not a single “hey, QB’s thumb is fucked, stack the box for the run” from upstairs? Also, Raiola is probably heavier than he needs to be. His mobility looks really, really bad. Not fat shaming him, but he simply can’t move.
So because FOX had their people in signage with a megaphone promoting THEIR SHOW because they had to compete against BARSTOOL who also had a pregame show to get more students to attend that’s a detriment to Indiana?? Lmao my man the cope is insane. There were more people outside the stadium for Big Noon and Barstools pre game shows at 6am than there were at Hoosier Hysteria.
Matt Rhule has more support, more talent, more everything, but loses by 50. Sorry but he’s a joke. I was his biggest defender but I’m out. It’s one thing to lose, but to be worse than FCS teams when you have 1000x more resources is inexcusable.
I agree with your sentiments. I argued hard last season that Rhule was not a good fit. I got blasted by many that I had to be patient and it was only his first year. 90 percent were telling me that. Then, Dylan signs, pretty good WR transfers, Big SLOW Ty and Nash returning, I started to think that I was dead wrong on Rhule. I have coached my entire adult life....I am certainly not saying that my coaching high school baseball is on the same level as the head football coach at Nebraska....but, as a coach, I have felt and will always feel that the absolute number one responsibility of a coach is to have their team ready to play both mentally and physically. Rhule seems to struggle with getting the team ready to play.....since his first game, under Rhule's coaching, this team is wildly inconsistent. Rhule also seems to struggle with holding his coaching staff accountable. As poorly as the offense played, the defense was significantly worse. As a lifelong supporter of the program since I remember watching my first game in 1980 at 10 years old, I knew that the program would not be the same when Coach Osborne retired, but I never, ever thought that the program would be mired in mediocrity to poor for, what, 23 years since the Rose Bowl route by Miami.
Imagine where Nebraska would be without Raiola. He still threw for over 200 yards, 70% completion, his INTs I’ll chalk up to him just trying to do something, anything. The more I look back on that game I start thinking if we don’t bring Raiola in… we’re 1-6 right now. I mean, we can’t even kick field goals. Like it’s so bad we don’t even try. What is going on?
I’m surprised they weren’t whining about Indiana running up the score. They didn’t really lose that bad. It’s just that Indiana kept running up the score like a bunch of bullies. 😂😂😂
That's true. The 2016 Ohio State game was worse than this game against Indiana and just 1 point short of the 04 Tech game for the worst in school history. The irony is that 2016 was Nebraska's most recent (reasonably) good season, as the Huskers went 9-4 and played in their most recent bowl game to date.
The only people who should be embarrassed are the coaches. I’d emotionally disconnect from this program as soon as possible to save yourself unnecessary headaches, because things are not getting any better anytime in the near future.
I am now of the mind that the Jeff Sims debacle was probably the rule vs the exception. I've lost a great deal of confidence on the decisions made by our head coach. Especially decisions to keep the only coach that should have not been retained from Frost's staff. And adding a WR coach that should have probably been coaching high school football. Both are miserable coaches. Think about how often our RBs are hit before they get out of the backfield. It happens all the time!
I would love if you or one of these radio shows showed love to the kids that stayed loyal and are helping produce for the team. Everyone seems to only glamorize the portal kids. I know it's rare, but is it no appreciation for the loyal kids anymore???
How about Colorado’s beat down on us. That was a national championship caliber team though. Indiana was together as unit with a winning mentality instilled by Cignetti . Veteran team .
And how about confusing their QB by dropping DEs into coverage when a LB blitzes? Then he wouldn't have been able to simply replace the blitz with the ball!!
I dont understand the team falling apart, got punched in the mouth & never responded 😔🙄 Where is that team that beat the Buffs they seem to have just beat them & then went back to the old team again of players trying to do to much & then it messes up everything, trust your training is a real thing & the loosing winning mentality
So glad we wasted our time and money going out to Bloomington to watch this dumpster fire of a game. Can't wait to watch it still burning this weekend in Columbus....
Rhule literally has a .500 record over all life time. Panthers couldnt wait to get rid of him. Satterfield was the same way at SC they cheered him leaving. Face facts they arent good coaches
Join a conference you can COMPETE IN. The Sun Belt Conference, Conference USA, or even the Big 12 would be better than the little NFL, the Big 10. Osborne was senile and jealous of Texas and joined the Big 10 without thinking it through. For Christ's sake a blind man can see it. And this ball club goes to Columbus, Ohio, SAME RESULT.
Thays funny because looking at Nebraska and their starting roster and backups, I don't see a single player on Nebraska that I'd even want as a 3rd stringer at IU
I've always viewed all-white uniforms (on any team) as the players wearing "surrender flag costumes". I definitely prefer the "red pants" road uniforms on Nebraska.
Do you guys still think G McGuire is on the track to being an OC and HC? He just got the worst performance in recent history out of his supposed very talented WR room…Can’t block…can’t separate…The coaches and the PLAYERS get paid well so it is time to stop being a friend of the program and start asking tough questions…And Ed Foley is an embarrassment and he should just quit with respect
Here is some questions, Matt had baker and Sam in Carolina and flamed out! So mb he does not understand offense and the qb play, should Dylan sacrifice his training in a poor offensive program?

The Indiana coach did what Dion sanders tried to do at Colorado but he succeeded with transfers
@@arcangel350Colorado looking better since losing to us
You had 2 weeks to prepare,You acted like this Was Indiana of Old, and you got the Hell beat out of You.
Rhule has lost the confidence of the majority of his supporters.
$74,000,000.
Wow, Indiana just pounded your arses and you think the players on Nebraska are better. Nebraska is was overrated because of its name.
I'm starting to doubt their player assessments. This coaching staff has whiffed on the most important positions they needed in the portal, with sims and then these wideouts.
Mitch you’re a mess. IUFB is so much more talented than Huskers it’s not close. IU is loaded on offense. Quit looking at stars and look at on field
Your talent is only as good as the systems you plug them into.
You’d think you’d show a bit more respect to a program that just handed you your ass
@@finessedufool736 I mean I did, I was everywhere saying we’re going to lose. We look sloppy and terrible it’s not hard to see. Bad coaching staff.
@@ChosenPlaysYTyeah tough to see another W this season. Whole staff needs some changes, maybe my kids will see a competent, competitive Nebraska team in 20 years while we go through rebuild after rebuild and Indiana can have success year 1
@ChosenPlaysYT nah, the group of 5 comments from Nebraska fans is part of what brought this example making down upon your team.
It’s not like Huskers had a chance. Not very good. IUFB is a monster. #iufb😊
Daunted
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Next home game… the stadium should be completely empty… completely
@@calvinpham3857 not going to happen. And not a good idea.
Nah, sea of red always shows up in lincoln
It is a good idea. Nothing changes bc the money just keeps coming in. They'll never make the needed changes until the money stops.
@@mikef3896how does taking the money away help the future now?
@@mikef3896Nebraska has made plenty of changes over the past 20 years. You suggest turning your back on the program? Bad idea.
Tony white must be asked for the nuts nd bolts of the scheme and why the dbs play so off the ball and receivers continually run free,
Did we set an edge even once? Isn't that one of the adjustments we all knew were going to be necessary?
Three questions we have to ask our team: "Do we have talent?" "Do we have dedication?" "Do we have heart?"
Nope
Actions speak louder than words
Unfortunately we lost all that when we beat CU
Not anymore. IU went all Temple of Doom and snatched the heart out of your players and coaches chests
Satterfield is a genius. He can take a 5 star QB and make him play like a 2 star. He's GOT to go along with uncle Ed
Man I need to go edit all my pre game comments about our physicality and grit. Oof
Colorado was Nebraska Super Bowl, reality starting to settle in
What happened???The Nebraska fan base were declaring them the National Champions after they beat CU.What happened 😆.
Huskers could try Division II football ..
I remember last year getting called a moron for wanting Satterfield gone. Where are these Satt defenders at now?
Tired of being played as the fool. This time by Rhile.
This was so bad it had to be done on purpose!
You said it, connor nebraskas best defensive player is John Bullock, a walk-on that says it all about how the talent level is LOW
Rhule needs to decide where his loyalty's lie. His employer and his players, or his buddies. That is where I am with this.
Love it, Mitch, has called everything correct on the show. There is nothing that I can disagree about.
Very embarassing, frustrating, and we all got humbled again..😓
Cignetti said, he has a standard and he does not budge from it,
Nebraska got curb-stomped by a known superior team. Indiana might just got 11-0.
Don't jinx the hoosiers, a lot of games left
Cignetti and the boys aren’t reading YT comment threads
I’m surprised they weren’t whining about Indiana running up the score. They didn’t really lose that bad. It’s just that Indiana kept running up the score like a bunch of bullies. 😂😂😂
My condolences🙏 here💐 that was embarrassing literally!
Coach Callahan returns…
There’s been a lot of games just as bad as Texas tech in 04. Big ten championship game, Ohio state a bunch of times.
$74,000,000
now we get ready for another loss at Ohio hopefully its not as embarrassing
This game gave me a migraine from which im still recovering. Satterfield and White need to get in front of a mic and answer for this.
And how about that tight, press coverage we were going to run?
Their inability to execute a Field Goal attempt will kill them in a close game. That is ,if we have another close game
.
I havent been this embarrassed in a while
The only people who should be embarrassed are the coaches.
I’d emotionally disconnect from this program as soon as possible to save yourself unnecessary headaches, because things are not getting any better anytime in the near future.
Another embarrassment coming next Saturday too
I am now of the mind that the Jeff Sims debacle was probably the rule vs the exception.
Jamal Banks has no YAC because he goes to the ground at the anticipation of contact.
How about Colorado’s beat down on us. That was a national championship caliber team though. Indiana was together as unit with a winning mentality instilled by Cignetti . Veteran team .
We can forget any high ranked recruit that was considering Nebraska 🤬
Wouldn't matter if we got them anyway. Rhule and his staff can't develop. They're destroying a 5 star qb. Whole coaching staff is garbage
Hard to even see one more win.
The ineptness was mind blowing!!! I call them the "KEYSTONE COPS" now! Did anyone see Fidone WHIFF on the block???? Another underachieving recruit!
Huskers did score 7 !!!!! Thats good for them.
Stay home, do not attend. The stadium must be empty and silent
What now? Simple, listen to 1620 starting Monday on how Braska has a chance to beat OSU by 7-10
So glad we wasted our time and money going out to Bloomington to watch this dumpster fire of a game.
Indiana is more talented and better coached.
This game shows how weak these players are. To much Tok Tok and chasing 3 rather than practicing. What a bunch of snow flakes.
Thays funny because looking at Nebraska and their starting roster and backups, I don't see a single player on Nebraska that I'd even want as a 3rd stringer at IU
Crazy you wouldn’t want the number 1 recruit in the country last year
I've always viewed all-white uniforms (on any team) as the players wearing "surrender flag costumes".
So mb he does not understand offense and the qb play,
should Dylan sacrifice his training in a poor offensive program?
I can’t believe your even talking about white uniforms…has absolutely nothing to do with how they play
Mitch the Huskers have been a laughing stock for a long time. Where you been
This was probably the most embarrassing loss in the last decade. Last time this bad was OSU 60-3... This team was out coached in every facet of the game. On paper NU has better athletes and more talent... That was abysmal. Shut if off at half time. I wont be watching the OSU game maybe any of them from here on out. Husker nation deserves better than whatever that was... How do i defend this team going forward, you cant. GBR 4 LIFE ☠️ ♥️
Nebraska clearly doesn’t have better talent/athletes
Then Monday ask coach rhule directly that ?
why 8/9 passes to start the game,
Their off week was PARTY WEEK 🎉
Right? Sure looked like it, huskers looked totally unprepared.
Shucks I've seen worse. Just can't remember when.
Turnovers killed us.
Bro you can't be serious, this is way bigger than turnovers 😂
Indiana has much better receivers.
Much better RB’s,O-Line, QB and kicker
Hoosiers are better overall at every position group. It's not even close.
Will be better when the frost recruits are gone. They have done this for years why would they change now.
guess who's coming for dinner next week oct26
I saw this coming after Colorado shut y’all out in the 2nd half
Dylan, soft slow feet, floats passes, when pressured throws repeatedly into the dirt, being stuck with a freshman possibly four year starter is a burden and hinders program growth, Adrian was fine, just not four years of fine,
Look at k state Ohio state etc and how they roll,
Nebraska’s a high school team
To the Nebraska cornheads fans who are crying right now.... your Nebraska team is overrated and hyped from hearing from the sports reporters your team is not as good as you through they were... they got dragged out all over the field by the score of 56-7 it doesn't make sense for a team that was a top defense in the top ten defensive... but got dragged all over the field.
