+Mark1nc I'd be more concerned about the thing it falls on than the camera itself. They're built like tanks. Even the lens he's using is built like a brick shit house (I have one myself). You could murder someone quite easily with it and all you'd have happen would be it gets bloody lol.

This is probably my favorite video that you have ever done. I've always wanted a little more in depth discussion about your camera and what makes it so good. I see a lot of other TH-camrs with high subscriber counts commenting on here too. Also its nice to see other things besides smartphones occasionally. Anyway please don't be afraid to go deeper and more technical in future videos.

Very cool that you got to get your hands on the Raven and Scarlet-W already. Would LOVE to see more video of the on-screen menus if you got it. I'm debating on which one I want to order for my top-end camera work.

the record button is not plastic... I use to make Red Digital Cameras and the buttons were machined out of aluminum... we made the whole body out of 6061-T6 aluminum and I'll tell ya... RED is picky!!

It is completely overkill, but if you want your videos to be exceptional quality and you have the money to spend then might as well.
You've got to remember that RED camera's are used for the majority of Hollywood films you see today.

By the way, I hate cameras with the display at the top. They are really designed with the hate for short people :/. I always have to stand on a fuckin box. That's why for me Ursa Mini 4K wins.
You can actually place the display anywhere with some adapters. Ursa Mini is real tough under low light; and BM did a job on you guys with the Ursa Mini Pro release; which is their only camera to ever buy thus far. I used to own the Ursa Mini 4K + 4.6K and sold them both. Great image output but the camera lacks; besides the Ursa Mini Pro. Plus I have never seen Ursa Mini's on paying productions in NYC at all. Arri/Red/Sony/Canon still own the realms.

I've just got to have the best picture I can get....but at an affordable price...Raven might just be it, especially since you demonstrated what the jetpack can do...

You are the man! When it comes to crispy, color-popping, beautiful imagery; Shot On Red is the logical choice. Hard decisions to get the best camera for the job. Cannon C500, ARRI Alexa /mini or Amri, each camera is better than the other for specific shooting scenarios.
Video quality aside, your narrative is the best.
