    Super simple and cloud based! The way it should be.
    Waiting for a future "how to upgrade and keep up to date" video.

    This looks great! We use on-prem PMPC, and we've been waiting for the cloud version so that we can dump our old servers. However now that it's here, I'm a little terrified from a security point of view. This is a cloud portal that allows us to push out executables and scripts to run in a system context on every device in our fleet. The consequences of a security breach would be catastrophic - imagine what an attacker could do with just a single line added to a pre-install PowerShell script. I'd be interested in learning a lot more about the security, auditing and monitoring features.

    How are the ViaMontra courses going Dean? 😄 - I really wanted to take part in the live course but my CAB meetings are always right at the start on Thursdays 😩 - hope to see more courses in the future though!

    Wonder what type of reporting would be able to come out from the new portal?

    Can this portal be used to interact with SCCM for deployments to servers? And if not, would we have to run this in paralell with the old console?

    • @RTBrunswick
      @RTBrunswick 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      we are running it with the connection to the OG PMPC app to connect to SCCM just for that purpose. Works quite well.

    What ya mean? Intune is fast...... if you compare it to 28 baud modems lol

    How are updates handled? Especially if they’re just available (and not required) to the users?

    • @RTBrunswick
      @RTBrunswick 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm curious too about that as the OS PMPC app does a nice job of labeling updates and allow us to deploy as required to devices.

      I'll let you know (via a super short video) as soon as I find out! I'm guessing Chrome will update in the next few hours anyway...

      @@DeanEllerbyMVP yep, these auto-updater apps like Chrome do so (hopefully).
      I read something about a new Intune feature where you supersed an app that has been installed as available. If this works, ok - better than the current situation (which is horrible).
      But you would always need to re-build the app from scratch instead of rebuilding/re-uploading the intunewin file.
      Microsoft should just fix the Intune Management Engine to evaluate installed apps / detection scripts also for apps which are installed as available.
      What do I miss ? :)
