Here in Canada, when you buy a turkey for Thanksgiving or Christmas, it usually comes with a bag full of the neck, gizzards, kidneys, and liver stuffed in the cavity of the Turkey. My Mom used to boil the bag of "parts" and chop/mince them up, and add the minced meat to further flavour the gravy....it was very, very good

I am Aussie, but I have seen Beryl Shereshewky's video of eating what others have ordered for her (Mexican food). She ended up with a salad that was half American lettuce salad, half nopales.
I am also a strong believer in the principal that if it is edible, humans found a way to eat it. After all, we eat various insect repellents as spices (mint, black pepper, chilli pepper) and at least two forms of bark (both cinnamon). Some people even eat special types of dirt.

Pickled garlic is great with pickled olives. The flavors and textures work great together. And then if your eating pickled olives, you might as well get picked on some gin.
BTW garlic is usually picked in more of a brine. If you pickle garlic in a heavy vinegar base it can add more flavor to the mix, but it turns a deep green or blue color and its very common in China (Laba Garlic, or sometimes Jade Garlic).

Yes. When she said "who would eat this!?" I thought, "hungry people"

“Who saw a cactus and thought, ‘I’d like to eat that?’”
Probably a lot of people, seeing as cacti are one of the few organic things found in a desert and are full of water.

Actually you'd have to purify the water you get out of a cactus because if you didn't it'd be so bitter that you'd immediately get sick from it

Yeah. Nopalitos are the cut up pad of Nopal cactus.
The fruit is called the Tuna and makes great margaritas
But much spine and skin removal comes first

A flattened, sautéed chicken breast with capers and fresh rosemary is delicious. Also, that haircut and facial hair have made Colin even more adorable.

Absolutely. Add a little white wine and you have chicken piccata.

Butter (unsalted), white wine, dijon mustard, rosemary and thyme, and capers. Better than any bearnaise for any kind of meat.

I've only ever had pickled garlic stuffed in a green olive at the bottom of a deep gin martini. I think I liked it.

Normally we only eat pig lips in sausage or hot dogs.
The pickled garlic sounds great... Capers should be on a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon (lox).

Capers are normally used as a flavoring for other items, especially Spanish pastelles.
