Few things you missed, you can hide in barrels, you can trap your treasure chest with c4 (credit to Raasclarks stream for that info).
With the plant pot, you need to use the shovel with it in your inventory.
The Thyla climbing with the cart is hilarious

So dumb that it says it's meant for many creatures but ONLY works on thylas.... at least they are the only creature you WANT to use that can be. Joke on me for thinking a wolf can pull a sled?

@@That_OneRandomGuy It also works with Equus and Doed. Cant put it on Fasolasuchus though, might have been good idea not to do that one. Can you imagine going into the sand tornado ability with cart behind you? xD
When you all play together you should connect your bases with the train tracks. Maybe even build a separate communal area that all your trains connect to, and that’s where the saloon is where you play poker and get together for cave runs/wyvern egg collecting/parkor stuff eco builds/etc.

For the plant pot you use the shovel to dig up a plant and put it in the pot
We desperately needed more furniture and building options, this is huge. And this is just from one pack, imagine what it's gonna be like when aberration and extinction come out, the max max aesthetic will be a bit hard to work with, but I am so excited for the steampunk theme, it is going to look amazing
In a multiplayer server, it would be interesting to have a train system with multiple tracks leading to different bases. The main track could lead to a hub where players could trade and interact with each other in a shared base.

The quetz needs a TLC like yesterday, they’ve made it so pointless over the years with things like the argy TLC (granted it definitely needed it) hover skiff, rhynios, and now this this oversized levitating megachelon
@@TragikDinonot a glide, like quetz shouldn't have a straight down glide but a soar. I think if quetz is high up in the air it should get a speed boost to make it much much faster (for tlc)

@@husklo honestly I think that would be very interesting and it would fit with the accuracy (quetzal is suggested to be capable of considerable gliding abilities and due to its size it’s proposed to have reached incredible speeds). I’m personally trying to think if they should stick with the large utility mount with high weight, maybe weight reduction passives, ability to pick up large creatures (maybe even structures) or if they should shift its focus to be the big, beefy, flying bully of aerial fights. Tons of health, tons of armor, solid damage and something to allow it to brawl with the heavy hitters even when flying. But I do think the utility route would fit quetzal better
@@husklo That's what I always thought they should do, like once you get the quetzal to a certain altitude you could start gliding to the other side of the map, where it gets a massive speed boost and negligible stamina drain
for the plant pot, if you have one in your inventory and go up to a plant, if you use a shovel on the plant, it'll put that plant into the pot in your inventory, allowing you to place plants wherever you want.
Maybe the scaffolding costs fewer resources, so that you can map out where you want to place walls later on?

The plant pot you keep in your inventory, and you can shovel up plants around the map. They go into the pots and then you can place the plants around your base. Allows you to customize the landscaping around your base ^_^
I love the fact that the outfits go with the story for scorched earth.

The steam punk of abberation goes with the story too with abberation being more technical in story and in game

The building with the cart is truly another wildcard moment of all time
I hopw they add more vehicles i love the idea that you can either tame animals or fully invest in machinery like Trains, Airships, Ferrys, canons, cranes, drills.

the cart functions exactly like a platform saddle, the jank of having to move the dino around and angle it wierdly to place walls at a reasonable distance has been there since day 1

Those beam walls are perfect for beefing up cathedral style ceilings in like a log cabin. Love it.
neat little decoration was the one thing I think ARK's building system really needed! Sure, in ASE the system was jank as hell, but even then people managed pretty well. I'm so hyped to see your new scorched base!

The plant pot isn’t bugged, it requires a shovel and allows you to pick up shrubbery and flower. Patches from the ground for use in your base. That’s why you can’t put anything in the pot, it’s probably meant to be purely cosmetic.

Not cosmetic. Once filled they turn green in your inventory. Feed them to the oasisaur. Only thing they eat.

Plant pots: use a shovel on a tree with one in your inventory. It's also relevant to the Oasisaur. The line in the dossier about "you'd have better luck courting its affection with a topiary or a potted shrub"?
For the plant pot u will need to have it in ur inventory ad use the shovel to dig up any plant or bushes the when the pot turns green u can basically place it down and it will replicate any plant u shovelled

On the pot, you have a empty one or more in your invo or hot bar an use shovel with plants in the wild. It will copy that plant into the pot an you can place it for decor. But they are only for decor. Like cactus anvsuch
Pot plant can be planted by harvesting any plant with the shovel for decoration
With the rotating stoop you could male a good entrance for a secret compartment
Trains are going to be so good for metal or crystal runs.

@syntac put the pots in your inventory then take the shovel to a plant and dig it a pot will turn green then you can place as many of that plant as you want. And when killing wild dinos they have a chance to drop a treasure map that you can use the shovel to go dig up.

Its nice to see Wildcard finally give some attention to the PvE side of things.
You should do something where every time you die you make a new coffin and make like a funereal and at the end you can see how many times you have and when i say at the the end of the playthrough.

When that build on the cart disappeared its rendering problem, bug of some sort. It happened on Island with raft builds and it also happens with Oasisaur so i guess its platform related. Going out of render kind of fixes it but you have to do it twice with Oasisaur, on first out of render Oasisaur disappears almost completely apart from its head and falls into the ground xD. Hope its gonna get fixed soo.
The scaffolding should be for under the train. When you need to raise it up you don't necessarily need to do pillars
You may have figured this out but the plant pot does work but it doesn’t grow actual crops but it rather displays them, put you plant pot in the hot bar and go to any plant you want in the map and use the shovel and it automatically transfers it to the pot and you can place it.

Running into the detached cart kinda answered the question I was gonna ask which was, what happens when multiple trains converge from the 3-way split onto the 1 track?
The train could also be good for transporting Dino’s if you can put them in a cart or put Dino gates up on them

Haven't purchased it yet. But after leveling up my argy by killing stuff there is a Mastercraft treasure map in its inventory. Don't know what dropped it. Will investigate tonight with shovel.

Imagine putting turrets on that cart damn you'd be unstoppable. Although if you could manual turrets it could be a way to take down golems and tame the titanosaur

Or can you cross other's rails with yours or someone can block your way completely?
Or you can you use someone else track with your train?
My big concern is that the tall tale pack is gonna add airships to Aberration and that defeats the entire point of Aberration being themed around not flying. Just feels like Genesis again where it's "we don't care about the setting we pitched prior, we want to make money so screw it all."
