Dude… I remember ultimate ark and when he said that the 100 days came out 2 years ago, I realized just how long ago ultimate ark was being made… I remember being so excited when those episodes came out on scorched. You’re a real one syn, love ya brother 🫡🙏

only the desert armor, tent, and adobe buildings reduce heat affects. the adobe buildings have the largest amount of reduction. it also helps to build in a sheltered area and under something that casts a shadow.

@syntac So….. was playing around in creative mode on my server and discovered a fun little quirk….. if you use a number higher than 1 when using the cheat setimprintquality command you can stack imprint buffs. This 100% affects their health, melee, and movement speed. My 150 wild take giga was able to literally fly across the map at near light speed without being in run mode. And was biting for over 36k on the training dummy….. at 80 for the modifier and 50 base melee. Also, you can add the imprint buff to tamed Dino’s even if the stat isn’t there for it in the inventory. Have fun.
Hell yeah, we love a new Scorched Earth series! Scorched is actually one of my favorite maps, cause it got a coherent vibe throughout and faces you with very different challenges than any other map
I used to watch your videos religiously from grade 4 onwards for quite a few years (Canadian schooling, grade 4 = 11yo). Been in and out a couple times, but Im now second year Uni (19yo), coming back once again. Youre a beloved entertainer from childhood to teenager to young adult. Dont underestimate how much enjoyment your content brings. Love you Syntac, keep on enjoying life and ark.

Seeing the sandstorms actually rolling in instead of just suddenly being there is really damn cool! Can't wait to properly play on Scorched again. It was the map I started playing ARK on (yes, I suffered a lot), so I have a lot of nostalgia with that map ❤
Im excited for this series! The first time I spawned in Scorch, I spawned where you did, and I couldn't build a thatch hut fast enough before I realized it was too hot, and I died as soon as I spawned, until I gave up and made a new character at a different spawn.

My first start on SE yesterday. Spawn in to an easy zone, wake up in the middle of a pack of raptors. Then I got 3 superheat events in a row, then a sandstorm and a thunder storm. I finally found out that sitting in the river in the shade kept me cool enough to only be overheated and die slowly.

Omg I can’t believe it! Ive never been so happy to see a human skull before but did anyone else see the skull in the sand at the beginning of the video ( 0:49) is a close up when syntac goes 3rd person and zooms in on himself. The skull is off in the left corner!

Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos and they always cheer up my day. I’ve always wanted to play ark but just never have the time to properly dive deep into it, your videos show me what its like to do that and that really makes me happy to see.
Just know that you make a difference for a lot of people even though some people say dumb negative things sometimes. Just take things at your own pace and dont rush things for the sake of the haters.

Today I learned that Jerboas sound a lot like chickens, so when I didn't hear the Jerboa, but did hear my chicken, I was quite confused at the direction it was coming from, until my wife brought the chicken over, and then the chicken noises continue when she took the chicken back outside.

The area you started in was originally sand dunes, which I guess is why the temp was 70°c.
Wildcard probably forgot to change the temp of the area if they intended to remove the sand dunes
First tame on this map for me was a 145 jerboa
Scorched Earth, depsite how bad it was, is my favorite Ark DLC. So to see if be remastered and finally getting some love again fills me with so mich joy.

Didn't think I'd end up watching Ascended videos until Aberration releases, but welcome back to Scorched, Syn! I see even you aren't completely above the early game Scorched deathloop. Looking forward to watching you guys play through this map again. Maybe the new content will be better than I'm thinking. Did WC ever fix that in ASE? In my memory, cactus sap only helped with hunger unless they fixed it later in the game's life cycle. I definitely know that punching cactus would restore water, tho.
@@tacthescribbler772 Pretty sure it did increase water, but it was very slow. Like how berries give barely any water.

Beating a cactus with a hatchet gives you water and then you can consume the cactus sap as well to give you more water.
Glad to see a pro struggle too. Scorched seems harder this time around for me too. The weather killed me a bunch. Hate you just have to wait until it passes to be followed by another storm a few minutes later. Makes the early game harder but it's a good challenge too

If you have the Magna Gecko Chibi mod, you gain a ton of xp by crafting them! So craft a bunch of them and either keep your favorite color or put them in the forge to make random other chibis at a rate of 4:1.

Also, easier kangaroo tame. Find one with a baby. It won't run if you attack it.

You’re lucky. When I joined in I got a 170 degree superheat. After it ended another the same temperature came back 10 minutes later. I kept constantly dying.

It took me quite a few deaths to figure this out, but you figured it out when you asked the question, "Should I just spawn somewhere else?" Yes, Syntac... Yes you should. The river area is significantly cooler than the area you started at. There are loads of raptors, kapros, and the odd titanoaboa in and around the river, but at least you won't die from the heat or thirst!

Hey Syn when your food image on the right is full and bright white it effects your stats. So if you poop it will settle the stats back to normal

Thanks to the wild babies mechanic, my starter tames on asa scorched were 2 jerboas, a para, and 2 ankys. The babies make taming so easy.
Died like 5 times from the heat, dont you think it might be a good isea to actually check the temperature? There were 70C where you built the hut, but just like 20 meters away the temperature was 50C, definitely survivable.
The first thing I head for is water. It takes the heat away and you’re not thirsty. Plus lots of easy kill bugs and things to get your hide and meat.
I've been so stoked for this new series was gonna follow along on Scorched in ASE. Now I have discovered that ASA is playable with Xbox One but only on cloud gaming. Still very excited I get to play this new game on an older console! If your only on Xbox one and have ultimate gamepass... Enjoy while you can!

The environment is really nasty in this version of SE. I was in my Adobe house, in desert gear (minus hat), with 40 points in Fort and I was still dying of heat stroke!
Good luck finding Thorny Dragons. It took me way longer than it should to find one
I'm also finding it hard to be motivated to complete the Island map in single player. My biggest issue, I think, is that trying to find the dinos needed for the bosses with good enough stats, and the saddles for them at high enough quality is so RNG, it feels like it may never even happen. Plus, the whole breeding program you need to do after that is a lot for a solo player who is new to the game. Then there's the pull of the Scorched Earth map, which looks like a lot of fun.
