I was in Florida at the time of this set, and found a great LGS to go draft this at. I had a great time, but all I remember is I opened a Arcanis, Call the Sky reached, and a Bladewing. I ended up losing to Jaces all night and traded up for an Vampiric Tutor 😅
This was one of the first sets I bought when I got back into the game .... man I love this set ... I'll never forget cracking two boxes ... Getting a Mana Crypt, Jace, Vampiric, Dak Fayden, the Tutors ... such great memories. Love this! Thanks for sharing Rudy.
This reminds me of the days of rudy openings of MM13, and MM15. Everyone over looked Eternal Masters, then the price went up to 300$ plus because of the limit of print. Then the printers went brrrr and the price tanked and everyone was mad. Pokemon followed suit with roaring skies as well. Then everyone forgot about Eternal because MM17. These were my favorite days of watching videos. Talk about some good ol' nostalgia.

Real talk, they started boosting Mythic rates literally after this set. I remember I opened 2 cases of this set, I pulled 3 Sneak Attacks, and 2 World Gorger Dragon. So dumn
VIP double masters hopefully won’t suffer the same fate. I feel like the value ceiling is capped no matter what in all these flashy modern sets. Reprints destroy everything. It’s a shame to see force of will being pulled in 5 variants. Cheers wizarda

this was fun but damn what a wreck on value... those sealed boxes are $400-450 each. There was not even half that in each. Dom Remastered has most of these cards too so prices keep going down.
Now I'm concerned about overprinting as much as the next guy, but I just checked Card Kingdom and they've got Tops at $25 and Karakas at $35.... so yeah they aren't *hugely* expensive but they're not worthless either.
I dunno if these boxes were from the initial print run or not. I swear the 2nd print run on Eternal Masters had the Mana Crypts printed less than the initial print run. I remember opening 3 boxes right when it released and each box I opened had a Jace and a Mana Crypt. But now when I see these boxes cracked I rarely see a Mana Crypt opened. Could be a coincidence but I'm very skeptical of the 2nd release of Eternal Masters boxes.
Sinkhole is not a feels bad Rudy, at least not in commander.....if you don't have a Strip Mine, Sinkhole, Wasteland ect. ect. more often than not you are gonna be in trouble quick with all the super powerful lands running around in commander these days.

All these cards will keep being reprinted in whatever word they want to use before masters on a regular basis, doesn't mean shit anymore
2 mythic rares in 1st box and 4 mythic rares in 2nd box, what the heck?? This tells me they screw you over on how much mythic rares you can get based on value. For example the very expensive mythic rare card like Jace the Mind Sculptor, you only get 2 mythic rares in total, which is so BS. And if you don't pull a Jace the Mind Sculptor, then you will get more mythic rares. Such BS.
What a bad take on the reserved list at the end! Especially when Mana Drain's history shows the OG jumped in price to the highest its ever been. I understand you live off this game financially, but come on Rudy. People will always pay extra dollars for the old versions. Don't act like gatekeeping the community from duels and moxen just for your pockets is a good thing.

Abundant growth foil is a nice hit(5-7euro). Foil karakas 50euro, non-foil 31euro.

I just checked on today stuff like Eternal Master Ashnod Altar is still 7-10 buck for the base, and almost 40(!) for the foil.
