I like those hollow spaces in the bonnet and wings, it is much lighter at the front and very easy to repair. Such a great car, it deserved much better sales, but people are just plain stupid buying Golf so religiously.

Buying any car with increased horse power and then saying that it has increased fuel consumption compared to a Smart, it is the same as saying that a 750cc bike has higher consumption than a 150cc scooter. It is expected. Also when buying a sportier car that has a lower ground clearance, although it is a valid argument, it is something you can see in the dealership before buying the car. Parking sensors in the back are extremely useful,.In the front I never had and never needed them.

Theodore K. Good feedback but I wasn’t really comparing to my smart car I was just saying because that’s what I’ve owned and to let others know that there is a obvious big difference. It’s all in good fun mate I made the decision to buy this car and I know there’s going to be faults but I don’t regret getting it at all.

I think the hollow parts are for pedestrian safety so it dents in instead of smashing them like a hammer.

I must admit the first time I closed the bonnet on my Cloverleaf I had a shock! And I agree with you on most of these. But as the others say, they're minor setbacks on what is a great value, good looking, practical, fast, characterful car. I love mine!

  • @neilpickup237

I own a QV line 175bhp TCT (with paddles) and love it. It is the refreshed version so some of your dislikes have been addressed (ie front parking sensors) but I do understand the rest. Regarding the hatchback, really not good enough to have to squeeze your fingers into the very small gap they give you - should at least open sufficiently to reach in and lift with your hands on something clean and dry! However my pet hate, one that you didn't mention is the speedo. In a car where you can so easily be travelling faster than you realise, it is unacceptable for the steering wheel to obscure up to 50mph as soon as you turn it even a little to the right. A flaw which could have been so easy to fix by swapping the rev counter and the Speedo over!
As for fuel economy, being a diesel it is not too bad, but nothing like the quoted figures. Before I bought it I couldn't understand how a heavier more powerful car could get better economy in the official figures than my previous car. The truth is, that even when driven in a similar way, it is around 10mpg worse!

Man that’s a tough five. Bonnet , yes👍🏻. You could add some sound deadening pads to the area behind the bonnet pad. But the obvious one after only a week of owning one is the lack of drivers foot rest!

Nice to see foreign people who's loving the Giulietta 😁 almost 3 years together with ups and downs but every time I sit behind the wheel and the modified exhaust start to sing all problems disappear...enjoy your Giulietta and pay attention to: internal handles (poor quality plastic), air conditioning mixer, fuel door (put a little bit of grease on the blocking system), trunk cables (If one of the truck lights or the back window wiper stop working 99% you have the cables cutted...very common issue)

    Hello bro,
have some question, because i have buy the giulietta qv 2012 235hp stock (manual gearbox) and want to now if the symptoms are normal hopefully you can help me out here are they:
    (1) if it rain and you start the engine and normal the respons of the wiper senor wil (activate) as expected and it wil work , but in my case for (wake them up) you must turn the button off then turn back on (automatic) then they wil work. Besides that also the rear wipers are verry loos (clearance)
    (2) (in rain) if you put the gear in Reverse the rear wipers turn on automaticly.
    (3) panoramic roof, if you want open the roof they opent only step by step you must use every time your finger again to go fully open. This fully opent panoramic get in 3 sets.
    (4) max rpm , i cant not go further than 6000rpm which limits my will feel like it is limited , It's really unfortunate because what i know is that the automatic gearbox get 6500 7000rpm.
hopefully you will be able to answers my questions thank you verry much for your time! and make more video bro. Peace

    • @velkovskinikola2

The GTI should be a bit faster and has more visible differences to the base model. The Alfa looks a bit better and there is more data on it's reliability and running costs since it is "ancient" for a car that is still in production. If you don't have much money to waste on a Giulia, the Giulietta is your last chance to drive. It is being replaced by a FWD SUV with less power at double the price. Haven't driven the Tonale but doesn't sound sporty at all.

It's definitely a thing...When buying a used Giulietta, checking under the front bumper might be an unsual good check to see how was handled with the car. This car asks for the drivers to be really careful when hoing over bumps. The front is definitely on the lower side compared to most cars in this segment. But it obviously also helps make the car look better.
