Girllll you went during Spring Break. You knew the crowd was coming lol I saw later in the vid that you didn't realize you went during Spring Break. That is a tough break but glad you still had a great time.
I am glad that I have already cruised on the Jubilee and have 2 more cruises scheduled on her this year. I think my husband and I only experienced a long line 1 time at Beach Buns. Not a big issue for us we just chatted with other guest in line.
If you are like us and not a fan of the younger crowd (I’m old), don’t go during spring break or summer. Winter months and early fall is the best times, the waters at the ports are still warm and beautiful to swim or relax.
Some people would gripe if their ice cream was too cold. This chick is no exception 😂😂😂 It’s nice that she found plenty of positive things to rave about. 👍👍 We almost never had to wait in line for Java Blue because we get our butts out of bed pretty early 🤣🤣🤣
I disagree with you when you said, that the LIDO MARKETPLACE was boring. IT IS NOT, there are so many delicious foods in it and give thanks for it! We been there for 3 times already and longing to be there again. IT IS SO MUCH FUN ONBOARD 👍🙏🏻🇺🇸
Here is the thing about Galveston. It is the closest driving distance cruise terminal for those of us who live in the Midwest. That is why the flight issue isn’t a problem. I’ve driven to New Orleans for a cruise too, but there are far fewer cruises sailing from there.
No shade, but it sounds like you could have fixed your own problems with travel time and spring break crowds. I don't see how either of those has anything to do with any particular ship. I appreciate your video and agree about those windows and that the Lido buffet is weak.
Thanks for your video…I leave in 30 days for my sail on Jubilee. I live in Texas and no matter where you go the traffic is ALWAYS a problem so I was surprised by how long it took you to get into Galveston from Houston. I totally agree about the Lido Marketplace. For me though, breakfast is somewhat worth it. I will definitely bring a white noise machine with me this trip. That was a great tip!
I will be cruising this ship in March 2025. I also live in Florida, but we will be driving to Lake Charles, LA the day before and spend the night. We will then just drive to Galveston the next morning and park there.
On our cruise on the Mardi Gras< we had the cove balcony and mother had interior room... The interior room was always much cooler! I think in general, the interior rooms stay cooler, maybe because no windows with natural heat/sun getting in
Totally agree with Lido buffet. Only thing I liked in the buffet was the Mongolian Wok. Not sure if Jubilee has that? Will be sailing on her this Dec 2024!
I cruised the Celebration last May. The buffet was extremely underwhelming, I strongly agree with you. Some of the restaurants you mentioned were very good, especially the Steak house. The shows and comedy shows were very good. I'm cruising the Mardi Gras in July, hope their buffet is better. Fingers crossed.
We also cruised during Spring Break (on the Mardi Gras) and doubt we will make that mistake again. Lines for everything, and we could never find seats for the production shows on Center Stage even though we arrived 30-40 minutes prior to showtime. For the same reason, we never got into one of the comedy clubs and were only able to get into the piano bar one time. I'm not sure whether I should blame these problems on Carnival or just choosing the wrong week to cruise. Another complaint was the buffet, with very limited choices and long lines. We discovered that breakfast in the MDR was much more pleasant. We also loved Big Chicken and guy's Burgers, and our grandkids enjoyed the water slides and the roller coaster. We might try the Mardi gras or the Jubilee again, but not during Spring Break.
I've been on the Celebration and I did love it. I'm going on the Jubilee this Aug. 17-24. We got a great deal on a Havana room, and I'm excited. I wanted to see if there was any BIG differences with the cruises. I did wonder about getting to Galveston, but you answered that. This time I do plan on flying in the same day (never have done this before), we have a early flight and I don't anticipate anything going wrong...but it does have me a little nervous. So which ship do you prefer the Jubilee or Celebration?
I hated the elevators, tha A/C is kinda weak, the shower was very nice but the toilet omg very bad, love the casino, everything is nice a new but the elevators suck. Food in general was good lines are long but fast enough.
As a Cruise Vlogger I would think you would do more research and have more knowledge of common things/issues across a specific line. I mean the Central Stage issue was known from the start. They did not function at all during the first few months. Good video and editing, but if you are calling your channel Cruise Blog, I would expect you to be more informed overall about a ship/port you are sailing on/from.

It was early March, so I didn't realize spring break would be that early!! Still had fun though!!
Exactly, I'm planning to go Christmas so I know what I'm getting

Right. I’m going on August 24th
Going 1st week of October here. Still, I don't want geriatrics either. I'm 44.

I will now always refer to it as "Pigs guy and anchor bbq" lol . Thanks for the video, super informative!
Thanks for watching!
BIG CHICKEN ON CARNIVAL IS A MUST GO❤❤❤❤❤❤
Agree about the center stage layout. On the Mardi Gras you have there at least 30 minutes before the shows.
Beautiful ship! Hate too strong wording…perhaps pros & cons
Yes. Or likes and dislikes
Agreed!!
Using "hate" and "no" get more views. Sad statement of the world's mentality.
It's for the algorithm, kiddo.
Use Carnival transportation. No problem getting to airport. Galveston our favorite port and find it much easier than Miami.

Thank you for an excellent video. Cove Balcony, I have never heard of that and now I love it.
It was an excellent cabin!

Bring a portable fan for your room for air circulation
Nice looking ship, the food options look great!
The food is delicious!
Asa Houstonian who lives north of town, Galveston can be a transportation headache. I most diffently would arrive the day before!
I had the same issues with cabin temperatures on Mardi Gras
Going on jubilee in two weeks. Very informative.

Can’t wait for my May 3 cruise!
Same! May 4
@@MsBk81 maybe we will see eachother lol

what were the times of the shows on your cruise? Thanks and nice video.
What would you say your go to breakfast place was?
We were on the inaugural sailing and you were spot on with the jubilee.

Put some RESPECT on SHAQ’s name !!! IYKYK !!! 💯💯💯
Cruising April 20th !!
Not everybody comes from Houston. I come from Louisiana and never have issues.
Your hates are like the most commons “hates” on all cruise lines lol
If you walk even just a block away from the cruise port and then order an Uber, you'll have much better luck.
Just like you remembered Guy's Burgers remember Shaq's Big Chicken...not just Big Chicken
It will be OK. Save your petty shit for something more serious.
I hated the elevators, tha A/C is kinda weak, the shower was very nice but the toilet omg very bad, love the casino, everything is nice a new but the elevators suck.

Going on it in spring break 2025……. Of dear did we make a mistake.
The instant coffee served on this ship is horrible!

The buffet is absolutely terrible!
Never been interested in cruising Carnival. Ever!
Then don't watch the video or cruise Carnival.
Agree! Don't watch the video
What is the point of this comment.
I mean hell, I love RC and Carnival for their own reasons.
You seem pretty closed-minded.
More room for cool people 😄
That's ashame. You are missing out on some great entertainment and food! Should try just once!
Interior cabins are for poor college kids. Once you can afford to see sunlight, you never go back.
Or for people that book after all the good cabins are sold out
