First off thank you for your service. We were on the carnival Jubilee October 5, 2024. My first time ever cruising. We went for our 35th class reunion. We booked 12 cabins. It was everyone’s first time on the jubilee. We went with very experienced cruisers. Every single person in our group agreed that this ship was total chaos. Our room attendant was absolutely fabulous, the food was absolutely fabulous. The people that worked around the cruise ship were absolutely fabulous but we were hot! Everywhere you went on that ship is hot. We never got our room cool enough to even sleep comfortably. We were so miserably hot that we could not wait to get off the ship.
@ We did ask for a fan. They did not have any fans left. We also asked them to check our AC to make sure it was working correct. They blamed it on our balcony. So we didn’t open it for 24 hours and it was still hot.
Totally agree with you ~ we were on this cruise last week. It was the first time I’ve ever been ready to get off a ship & I’m 70 years old ~ we cruise quite often ~ but never again on Jubilee!
Thank you for your service. Congratulations on your retirement. I'm just trying to get to my Platinum status myself. I have been going on less kid-friendly cruises myself like a celebrity cruise. This is not a knock on Carnival, it is still a good bargain for your dollar. 😆
I'm about to go first week in October. I hate rowdy crowds, so its actually appealing to think that the tone of the cruise is more mild. I intentionally picked the Jubilee to price out a lot of the low-class riff raff that often travels on shorter cheaper carnival cruises.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy the older crowd, i’m a new cruiser in my early 60’s , and that comment actually made me very happy . My plan for drinks is just to just buy my own bottle, prep in the room, before I head out . Thanx for your review
I believe the ports you leave from determines how much fun you’re going to have. Example I’m in Florida when I sail from Port Canaveral or Jacksonville the people aren’t as turnt. When I sail from Miami the people are turnt all the way up. Also, I believe the longer the cruise the less turnt up it’ll be.
I'm 37, my husband's 40, and we went on the Jubilee with our 9 and 15 year-old. I really liked the crowd on the Jubilee; lots of older folks and families, but it was chill and very enjoyable.
Great video. Just got back from this ship. I sailed June 1-8 . It has its pros and cons. I guess because school was out it was more younger adults and kids on this sailing. I like seeing the brand new shows they have because the older ships have worn those old shows out. The bathrooms are super tiny. I don’t hang out at the bars but the night club played up to date songs and was a vibe especially if they put on Tamia IYKYK. I agree when they delivered that Diamond/Platinum invite I was like what the what. Overall I enjoyed the new look of the ship and would sail her again but hate that it only stops at the same 3 ports that you’ve been to a gazillion times.
I wonder if timing was the issue. We did a B2B on Celebration on May 18 & May 26 and the ship was a COMPLETELY different vibe from one week to the next. It was definitely more live on the second part.
I was on the same cruise as you. It was also my first Excel ship and my first platinum cruise. I agree with a lot of your pros and cons. The most frustrating for me was the elevators. I did not go to the platinum party because i had previously heard there was a one drink limit.
I heard a lot of complaints about the elevators. I tried not use them as a courtesy to those in wheelchairs and with strollers (because I heard they were so bad). It was faster to take the stairs.
Not me going on a solo cruise in a few weeks and going to your YT to get some tips bc I know you were going to give the real real! Always enjoy your vids sis!
First thing first, Thank you for your service! Looked like you all enjoyed the cruise for the most part! Another way to get another bottle of wine is to ask for a free bottle of wine at the specialty restaurants on the first night. Cheers 🥂-Marcus
We went on the Dream in 2022 which is a smaller ship and some things that you noticed on the Jubilee like having to wait at the art auction for free champagne were also the case. We sail on the Breeze soon than the Jubilee so I’m curious to see if I notice the differences in class. I like more layer back but I have 2 young adults that look for a little more fun. Carnival usually offers balance. I hope they don’t loose that with the excel class.
Check the ships out before sailing. The Jubilee, Madi Gras and Celebration are different for the older ships. So let the younger crowed flood the older ships. I want to enjoy my cruise and it's not with a bunch of rowdy passengers, from drinking too much and fighting for who knows what.
We just got off the Carnival Breeze and it was really high pressure sales...me and the wife did the 350 dollar massage and they really pressure sold the massage oils afterwards....like very poor taste for Carnival....I hated that about the cruise....they didn't do that before the pandemic.
Just got off the Jubilee back in Sept and yes it was definitely not the party fun crowd I'm used to with carnival. Beautiful ship but definitely disappointed with the crowd.
Cool video. Kyndal Fire is great! But mind you, I paid $3K to sail on the Jubilee. And I was happy to pay that because I knew full well, that price of admission would exclude certain cruisers. I believe that the Breeze or similar is what you are searching for. The price is right and the crowd is reflective of that. For the record, Royal Caribbean has been described as a Huge Chuckee Cheese on the Water. But folks with families know exactly what they are getting, safe travels for their family and they are willing to pay a premium (Icon of the Seas) But I believe there are different levels to this, so it's important to pick a level that suits you. Loud Crowds or Laid Back Seasoned Citizens 🫡
I was on the same cruise for our FamCation 2024. 1st time on an XL ship for us too. Definitely a different feel. I'll try again just to confirm my thoughts. It was a beautiful ship though. Bathrooms extremely too small and they need to figure out a better system for the elevators.
The elevator situation is the same on all the ships. People don't know how to follow directions, if they did everyone would get off the ship the way it was meant.
Nice we did this same itinerary, but we was on Mardi Gras. It was way too much seaweed for me at Costa Maya and Cozumel but over all I enjoyed. Awesome we had Kyndall Fire as well loved all the shows. 😂😂😂

I’m in my 60’s and I like more of a party atmosphere. Lastly I thought the port of Galveston was not very appealing. I’ll only be cruising out of Florida preferably on the Celebration. I liked that ship way more.

I avoided this video prior to my trip on Jubilee. I just got off Jubilee this morning and baby.....i never wanna take the Jubilee again. The design of the ship was not hitting right with me. I have kids but the young teens and older kids were buck wild, all over the stairs raw dogging furniture, door knobs, elevators. The rooms were much smaller. I felt like i could never get to the back of the boat or the front to enjoy the breeze or water behind the boat.... I'm not looking to go over i just enjoy the water from that spot. I don’t want to buy nothing or harassed on a vacation
@@latoyamaria6933 exactly. I'm here to relax.
The roller coaster was so cool.
The crowd was built different for sure. I ran home! First ship i could NOT wait to get off of.
@@JJ-jc9sd I'm so glad you waited to watch the video, and then reported back how your experience was. I hate there's so many people with this same dislike of this ship.
You look too young to retire.
@@bionicpope yeah I get that a lot lol. I joined right after high school. Served 21 years, and now I'm retired at the age of 39.

Have you never cruise Carnival before?? You are platinum right? Champaign problems and caviar dreams. Lots have things have changed on all CruiseLine. Your complains seemed to be based on not know much about the Excell class of ship. Excell class is the best thing Carnival has ever produced. Mega ships with plenty to do. Smaller ships things are slightly different so you get away with more. You platinum and Diamond cruiser make it bad for rest of us.
@@mrmd31 sorry you feel that way.💁🏾♀️

@@jammyb90 you're welcome... hopefully you have a better sailing than I did.
🤎🤎🤎 looked like amazing time .. and carnival need to stop being so cheap and give their repetitive cruisers more for their money.. one glass of wine aint going to cut it lol and is this ship bigger than the celebration
I believe it's the same size as celebration.
