DOs: Cruise on the Jubilee. LOVED this boat, just got off. It was great and VERY different than the rest of the fleet. Lots of food, lots of drinks, didn't have to go outside if I didn't choose too. Lines were never bad (longest was maybe 10 mins).
A few minutes is not enough time to be safe. If I'm not taking a cruiseline excursion, I plan to be in line to reboard the ship one hour before the ship departure time. It is always essential to plan in case of traffic or an emergency.
I did not know about needing the paper boarding pass! I cruised this past February...and as a creature of habit, I probably had a printed pass....but I know I was getting lazy so I will be sure to print my pass for my next cruise in September...less than 60 days from now. Overall, great vlog and tips! Never hurts to refresh my memory! 😎😎😎😎
I've always booked our cruises myself. Once tried a travel agent and they did nothing extra for us. Waste of time and trouble using them. There will always be chair hogs. Carnival is trying to stop it. We haven't been on a cruise since they implemented the new process, so I can say how successful it is.
Travel Agents don't 'Just Book Cruises!" They do many things, especially those that have done it for years. They develop connections with those Vendors that can help their customers in various ways. They also have knowledge of the people, and places that many people dont even know exist. Just because you can book your own trip doesn't mean that your a Travel Agent! When Covid broke out thats when many Travel Agents really shined! While most people were on the phone waiting for hours to get refunds and trying to find out about their vacation status, those who had Travel Agents didnt have to do all of thst. Also, their are many people that get back after the Cruise Ship has left or lost their passports and again they have their Travel Agent their to help them! I can go on and on but believe this, just because you can pretend to be a doctor doesnt make you one! So stop giving people bad advise, because as the video said "Travel Agents are highly needed when traveling, especially with International Travel!
I’ve always found it better to book myself. I’ve had bad experiences with travel agents including the carnival agents. They don’t really know the ends and outs of the ship and they are t staying on top of price drops etc.
Great video, really interesting ❤❤❤ our nexr carnival cruise will be our very first carnival cruise on. Carnival luminosa in December 2025 ❤️ but we're thinking of bringing it early by a few months as I have terminal cancer, and I don't think i will be well enough in 12 months to do the cruise, so hoping to find another cruise in maybe July - September ❤
No matter your booking preference, Travel Agent or do it yourself, be sure to read of the contract info to make sure you understand all of the cruise line requirements and customer responsibilities. After double checking your travel documents make sure to put them into your carry on item. DO NOT pack them inside your checked luggage! There are thousands of pieces of luggage sailing each cruise with no guarantee the port with be able to locate your luggage in time for debark. Also, there are hundreds of luggage pieces that look alike ( think black bags). Put an ID on yours, bright ribbon, tags, straps. Anything to make them stand out. Take a photo of your bags outside your cabin door when putting them out to be picked up.
So glad Carnival (in our case, Splendor) Australia doesn’t have a tipping culture. Gratuities are included in final price and any tipping is by choice ,not expected, forced or just taken from your card! Everyone should have a choice to tip or not depending on their thoughts of each individual employee.. and the company should be paying their employees for what they agree their salary is! And reflect that

We just completed our first cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This information will be helpful on our next Carnival cruise. Thanks. 🎉
Congrats!🎈🍾

You do NOT need a paper copy. The website says “… At embarkation, you may show your printed boarding pass or the boarding pass on your mobile phone.”
Thank you for sharing your look at the cruise life on nice vacations.😊
Carnival has a thing where if you leave your belongings on a chair at the pool area if you’re not there they will remove it for other passengers
We are cruising Carnival Firenze in November. Time is going so slow.
Me too! We are leaving on Nov 14th!
On the Firenze? We are too
@@marycawley4491 yes! It's for my husband and I's honeymoon!

Agree 100%
Carnival has PVP agents who can get customers better deals than booking directly online.

@@dchenkin02 I requested a PVP early on and NOBODY contacted me. I prefer to do it myself now.
I tried using a travel agent and they charged us way more than if I booked directly with the cruise myself.
3 days and a wake up I'll be on Mardi Gras!

I always put bright stickers on my luggage so I know it’s mine

I always book through carnival
If I have OBC and a card on file, will they take my gratuities from the remaining obc before taking from my card?
Yes at the end of your cruise they will apply any unused OBC to your balance due. Or, you can pay your gratuities in advance using your OBC.
Can I ask why I can’t bring a steamer onboard? It’s for my linen and silk products thank you.
They are considered fire hazards. Try a wrinkle release spray.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Never sailed Carnival before. What EXACTLY happens if I do not bring a hard copy of my boarding pass?
They can print them at the port but it will cause delays
Nothing , I always have a paper one never a problem
We are going in November Carnival Valor

Yes.

January Breeze
Ngl, a video where you frantically do all of the don'ts and none of the do’s would be hysterical. 😂
Yeah this is mostly some nonsense lies to make you spend more.
#1 Don’t go on Walmart/Carnival in the first place.
My favorite "Don't"...........Don't go on a Carnival cruise!!! 🤢
#1 - Don’t sail with Carnival.
Have you been on a Carnival cruise in recent years?
Carnival is the way to go. I've cruised 4 different lines and Carnival is my first choice hands down
