Off-topic, but I'm hoping Erik can answer a question for me about Keeps. My son is considering trying it. He's 37 and his hairline is receding. His concern was, do you have to take it forever to maintain the newly grown hair and/or how long do you have to use it? How long did you use it? I -- or, rather, he -- would really appreciate it if you could tell me about your experience with it. Thank you. And, again, Happy Anniversary! :D
FYI, you can’t get poison ivy from another person. You have to get the oil from the plant directly on your skin. If another person just touched the plant, then they could rub the oil on you, but if it’s the itchy bumps on the skin, there is nothing to worry about.
I was thinking the same thing! But I didn't want to comment if I was the only one thinking you guys are crazy!... Love your videos! Love your builds!... But God only gave you one life....
$50k write off for a tellehandler is well worth it. Increased productivity, less risk of injury, building things on the ground and then flying them into place. No workers comp, or vacations to pay for. It’s like having another employee without the added costs. Some crews are smaller and run 1 to 2 pieces of equipment-for example RR Buildings.
@@straight_to_finish it’s quite expensive if you never had one, It’s crazy cheap when you always had one, because you would never work without. I worked a lot with one, and seriously considering in buying one even tough I mostly work alone. It’s cheap when you get to save on rental and a helper and on scaffolding if you have a manlift ( in Europe)
These guys are making a killing off TH-cam and don’t have the 50k for a machine? You’ve got RR buildings who has every tool know to man, Andrew camarata who has fleets of equipment…etc etc. You can get a very nice telehandler for less than 50k and depreciate it over years.
Jamie is the reason the final result is precise. Don’t get me wrong… everyone at the job site is a professional! Precision takes loss of sleep (worry) and dedication to perfection.
As a dutch guy watching how this is built, it feels so strange yet.. so good. Strange because so much wood compared to what i'm used to and good because, y'all build so perfect.
Haha ze maker er wel wat moois van het is gewoon raar om die Amerikanen zo’n huis soort van in elkaar te zien beunen. In Nederland zou dit nooit worden goedgekeurd
Wow, if I was the owner watching this, I would be so happy and impressed by the workmanship and thought that went into every small detail, I can tell you as an electrician of almost 40 years that I’ve seen a lot of framers that don’t put anywhere near this type of thought into what they throw up. You guys are really great builders.
Awesome. It’s the fastest 20 minutes of my life when I watch your videos! Keep up the great work and I certainly hope the recovery from the storms is going well for your community. Thanks again!
Jason and Ray J have come a long way in the PBB series. They are like the supporting casts in a popular television series where their characters have been fleshed out and we can relate to them easily. Awesome "family" is this PBB show!
90% of builders do not put in this much effort and attention to detail, and it shows in most of the houses (and, or, apartments, condos, etc.) we live in. Cheers!
Hi Perkins,I have to say I have been watching you guys since the past two years but wasn't commenting because of my old phone. Thanks guys you are doing ,great. And I have learned something's from you like setting a foundation ,now I will do it myself no paying anyone on my construction project. Big up guys . Sorry for long comment it's my first .
I think this is the coolest, modern, new age home that the Perkins Bros have built so far... And I love and always look forward to watching all your videos.
Greetings from sunny South Africa. I just love Jamie. Infinitive attention to detail. Then he gets flak explaining it. I feel you pain. Are we perhaps related😂
I have a birthday family member. He was my father. I was born on his birthday, June 16, which also was fathers day that year. Great stuff you guys are doing! Fun to watch!
Birthday Band 311 🎉. Heck yeah! Been a huge fan of theirs since the early 90’s. Lost count how many times I have seen them live. 311 days, pow wow festival, local shows, out of town shows. #excitablecrew. New album is being released in less than 24 hours.
Eric I am allergic to poison ivy too , I react very quickly to it , but here is some knowledge you need to know. The poison ivy rash itself is not contagious. The rash is an allergic reaction to urushiol, the oil from the plant, and it can't be spread from person to person. However, if someone has urushiol oil on their skin, clothing, or other items, it can cause a rash in others who come into contact with it. So, it’s important to wash any contaminated items thoroughly to prevent spreading the oil.
A zoom-boom or tele-handler is a game changer... you can find a hundred different things to use it for each job you do and it just makes your lives so much easier. I'm not sure if they're legal in Carolina, but if you have a man basket that you can fit a load of sheathing in you have a portable cut station you can utilize anywhere. It increases productivity and its just super handy to have.
Yeah, I think a telehandler would be well worth it. I don't know what the rental market is like there, but a builder I used to work for always rented one. And you'd be surprised how much you'd use it, even on smaller jobs. Moving materials around, bringing a bunk of sheathing up to the roof or subfloor, add a man basket to the forks for sheathing walls. Even trusses for smaller jobs. I've worked on crews that had them and crews that didn't, and it's way more efficient, not to mention a morale booster when you look at a bunk of sheets and know you don't have to figure out a way to boost each one 20+ft high. Try to rent one for the rest of the job, you won't regret it! My crews always had a SkyTrak, but I'm sure any would be good
I'm age 22 and in construction for almost 2 years. I love how the people are a great team. I did wonder about your care using the shims when wooden shims shrink. But maybe not a worry on your job.
Maybe you missed the part where blocking was used on both sides of the trusses while sitting on the beam to help splice both sections together. Just saying.
Great comment regarding wearing harnesses. The truss assembly is amazing. Owners are lucky to have video evidence of the painstaking measures used to ensure perfect alignment. Last point Eric. Your wife is so nice. Mine would have punched me if I made any comment including the word batch. Lol. She didn’t even blink. AG1 is an awesome product. We use it daily around here.
I may have paid to have the panels of my leaning fence thanks to Hurricane Milton taken off, but I am reinforcing the posts and reconstruction of the fence myself. All 5'6" 125lbs is moving and lifting it around. But... I am using tips and knowledge you all provide to think out my process and get this fence to be straighter and stronger than it was. Love you guys and this channel. I need to get on that merch for myself and my boss who watches for the holiday.
@Eric, you can't get poison ivy from someone else's rash. Only the oil from the plant itself can cause the rash. As long as someone has washed and changed clothes since being exposed you should be fine. If you do get it though, tea tree oil is your best friend.
Some days when watching an episode, I wish I could be out there building houses. But seeing you put that roof sheathing on today makes me realize there’s no way I could do it! 😮
Best show on TH-cam. Love watching you guys work and we all learn something as well. Tell Jay he has to use a washcloth with the dawn for poison ivy. I watched him on jays way and he talked about dawn. And that’s true. But you need to use dawn with a washcloth to scrub the oil off. It really works. Take it from someone highly allergic. Keep up the great show. I’m actually disappointed when you guys don’t post.
As framers we have 3 telehandlers 1 out of commission the other 2 are used everyday by our crews. Small or big home not passing up lumber saves a lot of money. It pays itself in a years time. Takes 2 guys away getting lumber up all day to now producing making you money
I watch other videos and think, man I'm not watching 45 minutes or an hour long video. Then I watch yours and think, man it's over already? It's looking good!
Ive seen all your vids and compilations… educational, funny and good for sleeping to as well… i cant wait till the hilarity of the indoor painting and tiling ensues haha
absolutely love this house! you guys are doing so well but I wish the episodes were longer lol God bless you guys and this new home in the name of Jesus amen

Whenever I am using string lines like you did for the trusses, I like to nail a 2 by spacer on each end of the string. And then carry one with me to check heights so there’s no possibility of a high spot messing with the string line
Looking good! I wish AG1 didn't have caffeine. Maybe one day they'll make a decaffeinated version. I'd have to check other ingredients. I read it conflicts with some of the meds I take. I know it can't be taken within 4 hours of my thyroid meds because it has magnesium. Btw, poison ivy is not contagious. You'd have to touch the actual poison ivy to get it. It won't transfer from someone else's rash. It's so cool to see the roof sheathing going on.

24 minutes goes real fast, I could sit here and watch you guys all day.
LOL oh man Jono, even if none of them noticed ya at 17:10, I just had a good hardy chuckle watchin ya back there, thank you for that.
Lol, had to go back and watch, thats hilarious.
Savage. :D
lmao
I actually got distracted and had to rewatch to listen to them talk
17:38 Jay with the dad jokes top it off 😅
You guys give me the shivers the way you walk on the trusses without safety harnesses. We don't want to see a Perkins build funeral
I was thinking the same thing! But I didn't want to comment if I was the only one thinking you guys are crazy!... Love your videos! Love your builds!... But God only gave you one life....
This is my favorite build. Wish each episode was like 2 hours long
I agree!!!!
Same
Just give Jamie the camera, that will make 2 hours per episode easy!
I would love it
😂right!!! Was just saying the same thing
Looks like this will be a 60 part series, I love it tho! Keep up the good work guys
Happy Anniversary Eric and Sarah, many more in love and respect!!

yea it's one of those things I think you look back and wonder how you ever functioned without it
Exactly, sometimes you gotta spend money to make money and they ain't getting any younger 😅
RR Buildings also use those scissor lifts for alot.

He got COVID lol

Great job guys , some see your intelligence in every thing you do
Best compliment I can give is to say Larry Hahn would be mighty proud of you, and your work ethic.
Most definitely use harnesses. I enjoy watching your videos very much .

The fact that you guys are about doing it the best you can, instead of as fast as you can is very refreshing
Thanks for sharing guy's be safe and keep on smiling. 😊
So enjoy watching the thinking process & seeing the tricks of the trade! What a great team!
Jason and Ray J have come a long way in the PBB series. They are like the supporting casts in a popular television series where their characters have been fleshed out and we can relate to them easily. Awesome "family" is this PBB show!
It's just soooo nice to finally have something (at least one part) looking like an actual house 😄
Jono looking good man! I hope you can keep that trim look, it really suits you
18:05 no matter how bad Jason just wants to nail sheets down - Jamie has a valid point. Keep checking for true and square! It’ will show in the end😮
John-O at the 16:57 mark in the background is hilarious, LOL!!
Jono*
you guys are awesome i always enjoy your video's my brother gerald enjoys your video's as well
Shimming out those truss ends was impressive. I wonder (hope) other builders put in so much effort. Awesome learning channel!
90% of builders do not put in this much effort and attention to detail, and it shows in most of the houses (and, or, apartments, condos, etc.) we live in. Cheers!
That guy bringing the zip-systemsheets has an enchanting deep voice. Alway soothing to hear him once in a while.
You guys need to be called "Precision Brothers". Thats some amazing work and attention to detail. Fix it now, before issues later.
Makes my day when the notification pops up. Love learning and y'all definitely make it fun. Keep it up!

Happy anniversary Eric and Sarah. Awesome video.
That is one cool house design. Can't wait for the final grand tour of this baby next year. What a massive undertaking for you and the customer.
Greetings from sunny South Africa.
I just love Jamie. Infinitive attention to detail. Then he gets flak explaining it. I feel you pain. Are we perhaps related😂
My husband is exactly like Jaimie. We both love when Jaimie shares his knowledge no matter how long it takes!
That's going to be a magic house when it's done boys! great work and care for detail.
You guys are nothing short of extraordinary! Thanks for another great video!
A Canadian here.
Glad to hear roof and not ruff
I have a birthday family member. He was my father. I was born on his birthday, June 16, which also was fathers day that year. Great stuff you guys are doing! Fun to watch!
Telehandler is what you need.
Wow, that's a major milestone getting that roof sheathing on! You guys are making real progress.
311, great band from my hometown of Omaha, NE. Keep up the great work, guys!
I caught that. If Jono likes 311, he just got a lot cooler in my book. Omaha Stylee!! 😂
It's funny that they still sound about the same as they did back in the '90's. Got to see them a few times last year.
A favorite band of mine for sure.
311, 3, 3, 11
You guys are awesome. I enjoy watching the comradery.

Congrats on your anniversary!
Congrats on the anniversary! My wife and I celebrated 13 years September!

They make a ladder type material elevator. Not cheap but very practical. Small footprint, easy to move, easy to store, versatile.

You should get a telehandler with a rotating cab. Perfect for your projects.
8:25 Damn! That was a sweet transition with the music
6:14 Those blocks were a fine addition but I would have preffered them be made out of 3/4 plywood. I love you guys, this is just my opinion..Cheers!
