A serious DIO would probably take any Jotaro out with little issue; the problem is that DIO likes to play around when he thinks he's basically already won, and that is just not what you do when you have the edge over a man like Jotaro. To beat Jotaro, you've gotta keep the pressure on him, don't stop, don't gloat, don't laugh, don't drive a finger into your temple, don't give him a chance to think of a counter strategy, just keep him busy until you get the chance to kill him.

Part of why DIO lost was because he was being cautious of Jotaro and what his abilities were, instead of just killing him. That seemingly smart cautiousness accidentally led to Jotaro being able to time stop for longer periods of time and get his opportunity to kill DIO.
In a rematch where they both remember the previous fight and DIO has his vampiric abilities, I'd imagine DIO would just go for the succ during timestop considering their stands are basically equal but DIOs timestop is longer and DIO himself would be a lot faster and able to blitz Jotaro. Especially since this is a DIO who already knows his abilities and failed to the joestars twice, I don't think he would go into flexing mode again. And considering Jotaro barely survived the first fight and is only being given an experience boost, I don't see him winning against a much more durable, faster, and stronger DIO

Its funny to me that, even after high-balling Jotaro and DIO into a hypothetical "composite" type of an "end all be all" version of themselves, they still come out as a tie in stats and feats. This just shows how well Araki wrote these two characters perfectly, atleast in my opinion.
However, the reason the battle would go in favor of one over the other is not a match of strength, abilities, or potential. (This is spoiler territory for the video so watch the vid first)
But consistently throughout any of DIO's defeats or losses comes with him breaking his power ceiling, testing himself out, and losing all because he got *cocky.*
He, within every single aspect, atom, and fiber of his being, just cannot stop being a cocky ass. It works as a menacing and threatening character, but it's the one thing working entirely against him too. I fully agree with METAs here that DIO would pretty much, in all intents and purposes, lose due to him once again fucking around and finding out.

Star Platinum gets progressively gets stronger during every part, however during each part his durability/stamina decreases. A composite Jotaro would be the same one that could catch MIH and have enough stamina and durability to fight while severely injured, take knives to the body, and just tank hits from the world. I think Jotaro would still be punching holes in Dio but Dio just has more hax, longer time stop, and his vampiric abilities. I do think Jotaro would outsmart Dio multiple times but Dio just wouldn't really die, so while jotaro is durable and has alot of stamina, Dio is just plain almost immortal and the damage would just rack up until he dies. But if its in character, Dio is getting curb stomped by Jotaro.

DIO fight, Jotaro wasn't alone, he was getting stomped and would've died if it weren't for Polnareff bailing him out. If you give DIO his peak, he has INSANE regeneration, being able to incredibly easily regenerate from getting completely split in half, having absolutely nuts TS growth, going from 5 seconds to 11 seconds in the span of if I remember correctly 10-15 minutes. I don't really know if this factors in very much, but it is stated during the part 3 fight that The World has a range of 10m, so it technically has a small edge on Star Platinum, but since it's stand v stand, it doesn't really seem that important, since damage to a stand is inflicted back on the user (There are some exceptions, swarm stands mostly)
Also, my theory for why Dio's time stop was improving so quickly over the fight was because using it so much in a life and death situation put massive strain on his body, but because he's a vampire, he could just recover, now with better time stop stamina, whereas Jotaro for some reason just had decent time stop stamina to begin with, but didn't have as much of an increase in length because he was mostly getting used to the sensation, and couldn't just recover stamina like Dio could but likely could have gotten his time stop decently long if he trained in between parts, which he doesn't seem to do between parts 3 and 4 (Given the statement near the beginning when he ran into Koichi and said that he could only stop time for a fraction of a second), potentially training with it between parts 4 and 6, at least to the level where he can keep it up long enough to guarantee a win in most fights

Hemispherectomy is a process wherein half of one's brain is removed, used to treat seizures and, I'm not joking, cases where one side of a person's body is weaker than the other. Since humans can survive with only the left or right halves of their brain, a vampire like DIO being able to survive his brain being cut in half straight down the middle isn't anywhere near as far-fetched as it may at first appear.

I like the video, it’s comprehensible and near accurate. Though, I do have some questions/counters:
    1. Space Ripper Stingy Eyes. Sure, Jotaro can dodge em, but also there have been instances of The World out maneuvering Star Platinum, and vice versa. I’m not saying Jotaro cannot dodge the beams, but he WILL get hit by them eventually. It can cleanly cut through a person, and I believe can do serious damage to Star Platinum. Also, it shares similar behaviors with Superman’s Heat vision (minus the heat factor and energy shit).
    2. Vaporization Freezing Technique (Freezing Touch). This is a mixture between a passive and a manipulated ability DIO has. I believe in Part 1, when Zepelli attacks Dio, he gets frozen, while Dio was paying attention to Johnathan (could be wrong tho). Anyways, the real point is that, if Star Platinum or Jotaro hits Dio or hypothetically touches The World, then he gets frozen right? Is it game over at that point or can it be used as a combo extender? I think it can do serious damage also, and if done correctly, could kill him. I don’t see Jotaro realistically countering this 7/10 times.
    3. Personality. Sure, Dio has arrogance, and sure, he died because of it, however, I don’t think that would 100% be his downfall. The only reason why Enraged Jotaro was able to do significant damage to Awakened Dio was because he still had that human side to him, thanks to the weakness of Jonathan’s body. If we’re talking about max power Dio, as in fully vampire, then I don’t think Enraged Jotaro could do equal or, as you said, 2-4x more power. I think Dio’s personality is moreso a handicap than his death.
IDK, I don’t think Jotaro wins, simply because of Dio’s busted abilities, regardless of personality factor, but I digress.

      @@Joker_Zz Hear me out:
William Zeppeli in the Anime and also the manga iirc (episode 3 iirc) mentioned how Vampiric Energy and Hamon Energy are the same type of energy, but they cancel each other out. Reason I mention this, is because in Part 3, Joseph projects his hamon onto Hermit Purple. Now, if Vampirism and Hamon are the same type of energy, as Zepelli stated, then its reasonable to assume that The World can project vampiric powers, thus when Star Platinum touches The World or DIO, freeze touch is valid.
EDIT: To be more specific with the scene, I believe its the scene at the river during Jonathan’s training when Zepelli explains this.

Jotaro was the perfect type of fighter to go against Dio, he is a gritty brawler who can outsmart and beat down practically any character in the show. He had no problems with fighting dirty, Jonathan was definitely his foil. I don't think there was a single point in the DIO v Jotaro fight where Jotaro thought he was going to lose, He knew he was faster and strong enough to outstrike DIO to the point that Dio was scared to even get close to Jotaro, at least until he had consumed Josephs blood but even after that he exercised caution and used a road roller. Rage Amped Jotaro is debatable the smartest fighter in the series, and I genuinely see him being in the top 5 strongest characters while like this. Other than Giorno, I don't think any other character could have had a chance to beat DIO in his prime with Joseph's blood, even bringing in characters from part 7 and 8, WoU isn't going to put down DIO before he stops time and kills Tooru, and we already saw Johnny vs Diego, so imagine a much stronger, faster version who can stop time exponentially longer and fly...
Basically, if you can't stop time or cancel it out like GER, you can't contend with a vampire that can spam it. Jotaro had everything he needed to win, same ability, slightly stronger and faster, and unbelievably intelligent.

There’s also the fact that it follows intent, and as soon as Dio understands this he can abuse the hell out of it. Tooru is dead the second dio sees him. And love train could win if Valentine plays his cards right, but he never does, in character he fights along the line of love train and peaks out of the barrier to fight. Thing is, in a fight with two people who can stop time, you really have to get into how conjoined time stops work.
We saw in the series that you can use time stop within another time stop, making both parties move in stopped time until the first person's time stop ends, and then the second person's time stop continues until the duration expires.
We also see Jotaro being able to move once within DIO's time stop to stop his stopped time attacks, but never afterwards when he had already moved once, except for the time where they used their overlapping time stops.
Does this mean that you can only move once within another person's time stop without using your own? Does that mean that Jotaro was using a one second or split second time stop during DIO's time stop to defend himself? Does THIS mean that you can split your time stop limit in small parts within another person's time stop? Or can you only fully activate your time stop continually at a time (meaning no activating and deactivating the ability).
Because if you can activate and deactivate time stop within another person's time stop, then you could just wait for their time stop attack, activate time stop, defend or counter, and deactivate time stop, only depleting a second or a split second of your own time stop while the other person's is continually brining through. In this case, Jotaro might win by limiting himself to counter attack until DIO's time stop expires, and then he can use the rest of his time stop during DIO's cool down to finish him.
If you can only expend the full amount or less once before cool down, then the first person to stop time loses, which would also most likely mean Jotaro would win, since DIO might be more easily taunted into using it, and Jotaro would be more careful knowing this.
Otherwise, they might just use time stop for utility, like moving in the air, dodging projectiles and obstacles and the such, as using it offensively would be rendered useless by each other's time stop.
TL;DR: Time stopping powers are too vague and need too much explaining to give any meaningful scaling. Also, Jotaro stomps on most scenarios (as much as I hate that).

Also, they should theoretically be able to split their TS resistance into several parts as long as they stop moving after starting during the enemy TS.

The body manipulation one is a bit easier to explain than you think. DIO, as a vampire, can make his body one with any living thing he impales. This is how vampires drain blood in JoJo.
He actually makes extensive use of this in part 3. The flesh buds, regenerating himself, ect.
Also, DIO was still weak in part 3, which was why he needed more Jostar blood. He might not have even been able to use his Icey touch at all because of this. He only had his full vampire powers back for. . .what. . .4 minutes before dieing? During that time his hubris and obsession with learning his stand's time stop limit cost him his life. There were MANY times he could have instantly won and just didn't for this reason alone.

If we're saying that He has Space Ripper Beams And 11 seconds of time stop It would make sense all he'd need to do is Bait Jotaro to use his 5 seconds of stopped time. Then whatever time left he'd Ripper Eyes Jotaro like he did Jonathan. But As you said he'd try to test his abilities, Esp if he gains MORE time stop. I'd Agree Jotaro would make sense.
However I do believe Jotaro will have to use Time Stop a lot During the fight in order to make sure he can survive DIO's. So he'd probably get enough practice to bump HIS time stop up to around 6-7 hell maybe even 9 seconds even! Making the fight more even and consistent.

The fact that everyone is subsiding the fact that IN THE ANIME In DUB AND SUB AND IN THE CLOSED CAPTIONS Jotaro say specifically that time HAS BEEN STOPPED for FIVE SECONDS and then after a bit after that says that TIME WILL RESUME IN THREE SECONDS meaning his time stop in part six is at least EIGHT SECONDS

Jotaro lets DIO time stop, uses his own time stop and fucking runs until the sun comes up lmao. I just simply dont know what would be able to do physically other than being the MC so, only chance he got is hamon or the sun

Kira was just pointing out that he stopped time he never once even came close to saying that Jotaro was slowing time with his punches. That was your headcanon that you presented as fact

You cant use vampiric freezing through stands due to them not having moisture

You know what my dumbest theory about jotaro is
Star platinums main ability isn't only just time stopping it's copying the ability of opponents like sharingan like remember when jotaro said star platinum has really have accuracy and precision like how every sharingan user has when they activate it and how kakashi with sharingan copy any ninjutsu with his precision with sharingan and that's how jotaro managed to copy the world's time stop ability and how Dio was flying cause he's vampire we haven't seen any other stand user flying without their stand throwing or lifting them in air or using some ability but jotaro was able to fly with matching his speed of flying but he's only human right

Also like how kakyoin's stand is able extend his body parts like rubber jotaro used that thing with his fight with that Gorilla with ship stand jotaro used star finger that caused his 2 fingers to get really long and attack enemy

The reason the world had a bigger timestop is because dio had vampire and vampire shattered his limits so he was able to go higher

If star platinum and the world are similar stands, that means that the world has *THE FINGER* so dio wins

Dio’s character is why Pucci was able to outsmart Jotaro twice. He knew what Dio did wrong and played into Jotaro wanting to protect his daughter. Not factoring in fate, Dio cannot win against Jotaro because their stand abilities are the same but one of them knows when to use them wisely. Made in Heaven on the other hand is a hard counter to Star Platinum. It became faster than anything else and limited how long time stop lasts. Pucci also used his speed with knives in the opposite way Jotaro was faced in while he was in time stop. Since inanimate things were also moving at insane speeds those knives would have moved faster too. It took a kid not bound to the Joestar bloodline to defeat him. Even if you count Eyes of Heaven Dio, based on how he acted, his universe’s stardust crusaders most likely died probably before they could figure out how The World’s ability worked. In that game they bring up the same “it’s the same type of stand as Star Platinum” element again and that Dio was surprised it was which to me implied he never fought his Jotaro that figured out he could stop time as well and died whether it happened in the streets or while they were in the mansion. I don’t think his regeneration matters which Dio it is, if his stand is destroyed, Dio dies due to the standard rules to how most stands worked in part 3.
